Just talked to the owner...said they are supposed to be open around the first of November. Waiting on kitchen equipment to arrive and ordering food. When they get the menu finished, I'll see if I can get a copy to post for everyone.

That would be great to get the added to Rick's Restaurant Guide!  Menus for almost every restaurant in the county that has one!

I'll let the owners know that everyone is anxious for them to open. I'm sure it will make them feel better, they are pretty stressed out trying to get everything ready. I'm sure they won't have a problem with letting me post a menu.

If they get a menu to Rick, he'll put it up -- There is a button on the top of the Page Restaurant Guide if they wanted to take a look.
I'll let the owners know that everyone is anxious for them to open. I'm sure it will make them feel better, they are pretty stressed out trying to get everything ready. I'm sure they won't have a problem with letting me post a menu.

Wow, how different tastes can be lol. We went there last night as well and we were completely disappointed. Don't know if we were spoiled from our favorite Greek Restaurant in Germany but this had nothing to do with the Greek food that we got served there. Don't know what Nationality the owners are, but in Germany the Restaurant was owned and operated by Greeks. My hubby had the Gyros which had nothing to do with what Gyros is supposed to be. His meet looked like Steak-ums (sp?) and for as little meet that he got we both thought it was overpriced without a doubt. My daughters Pastitsio was dried out and my Suvlaki were 2 medium size skewers with not much side. I have eaten in many Greek restaurants and I have never seen Suvlaki served with Pita bread. Sorry to sound so negative but we disliked the food and on top of that the prices were way to high, that we won't be going back. Honestly after trying my hubby's I made the comment he could have had that for half the price at the Chicago Deli (I think that's what it's called). Don't take me wrong I am a very understanding person and I went in there prepared for some things to not go smoothly since they just opened. We haven't tried the Italian, so I can't say it's all bad. We just really disliked the Greek. Oh and this must have been the most expensive we have eaten since we got here. For 2 adults and one child we payed $46. Thank God we all have different tastes, but this just wasn't for us. Sad - it sounded so good.
Oh totally forgot to mention the unforgivable, our waitress brought us the complementary roll and butter on one plate that was sitting on top of another. When we separated the plates there were open, used packages of Splenda on the second plate. Obviously it had been previously used without being washed, sorry but that is gross.

Alrighty it's me again. I just noticed that I am obviously not really qualified to comment on the food because there seems to be a big difference in the way the food is done here in the States compared to Germany. I have been told by several Restaurant owners cooking specialty food in Germany that often they adjust the food to how people of that country prefer to eat the food. So I would imagine that they just cook it totally different so I can't really compare. In Germany in Greek restaurants they mostly use pork and definitely not ground (except as fillers and usually the more they fill the less quality the product) here they used ground lamb and ground beef. Looking it up on the internet I noticed that most American recipes call for ground lamb, so I guess that is just the way it is done. I guess it's just hard to agree with a taste when you have a certain idea of how it should taste to you, because you are used to it that way. Sooo go there and try for yourself, can't complain about the waitress, she was pretty nice and after all they just opened and are still working on perfecting things.

We went there tonight. The wife liked the chicken parmesan. I had the kalamata chicken. nothing special, lots of noodles. No rolls,it was filling but that was about it.

Post by: GM2006 on November 04, 2007, 02:28:44 AM
Well I had the moussaka (sp?) and I will admit, while the flavor was fantastic, and the quality was excellent, I personally didn't really like it (consistency) but it was still good (make sense? lol) hubby had the chicken parm and it was GREAT, plenty of sauce and cheese, TONS of pasta (enough leftover for 2 or 3 of us for lunch tom!!)

As far as Greek food in the US vs. wherever... my ex sister in law is Greek, and I'd say this food isn't QUITE the same as some I've had (in Canada) but it was still great :) Price yes was pricier than Steffano's or kids eat free @ Pizza hut on Tues LOL but worth it to me :)

My mother brought us here yesterday for my wife's birthday.
We were seated immediately, and our drink orders taken.
There were six of us total, so we ordered two Margarita pizzas, one gyro pizza, a gyro sandwich, and a mushroom swiss burger.
Shortly after our drinks arrived, they brought us some Freschetta bread. This bread was freshly baked, and was delicious.
The margarita pizzas were a fresh change from typical pizza. They had no marinara sauce, fresh tomatoes, and plenty of cheese.
The gyro pizza was equally delicious. Our only complaint with it was that there wasn't very much meat on it.
The mushroom swiss burger was HUGE! It was cooked to perfection, and tasted delightful! It also came with freshly cut french fries that were so plentiful that there was more than a few leftover.
The gyro sandwich did not have very much meat in it, and a couple of pieces of meat were dry. Luckily the flavor was still delicious.
This was a good over all dining experience.
We give it 3 3/4 stars out of 5.

I ate there with a friend of mine and we liked it.  Obviously we each only are one thing off of the menu, but what we did eat was good I thought.  She enjoyed her meal so thats all I needed to have happen.  LOL.

So, I'll say the place is expensive but very good.

The decor needs worked on a little though... it still looks a lot like Country Kitchen...  I don't like the lighting.  I thought it was too bright in there.

We went there the other day just to check things out. I liked the food but the service was horrible. We have two small children and it took them 15 minutes to give our daughter crayons. I mean we were the only ones in the entire restuarant and it took forever to get our food. I ordered a salad with my chicken gyro and never recieved it. My husband's gyro was really good. I'm not sure if we will go back. I think even though they weren't busy that they should have paid more attention to our needs, especially since she didn't even ask us if we wanted a refill on our drinks until we were already finished with our meal.

Got there this week. I agree with DN about the lighting and ambiance could use work.

I had the mousaka, my friend had chicken alfredo, and we had an order of hummus. The hummus and mousaka were fantastic. Chic alfredo was about what you'd expect anywhere. Prices on the slightly high side, but I'll go back again.

When you go, read the menu, make your choices, but then ask the waitress if they have what you ordered.  My wife and I went there Sunday, did all that except ask the final question, and after several minutes, they came to tell us they didn't have one of the things my wife ordered, no problem.  A few minutes later they came to say they didn't have what I ordered.  We went to the Hub.

We went last night.  I had the Greek Chicken dish (forget the name).  It was real good and too big a portion.  Husband had a rib eye.  He was sort of bent out of shape because a lady across where we were sitting had ordered a medium rare rib eye and sent it back because it was medium well.  So guess what?  My husband had also ordered a medium rare rib eye and then got a medium well also.  You think maybe they tried to pass hers off on him?  So he sent it back and said the correct one was ok, but come on...don't pass food around from table to table.  Can't prove it, but it does seem strange.  Don't know if we'll go back.  Maybe to the bar for a sandwich or something.

Our group reserved one of the side rooms for a luncheon....there were about 40 of us.  Since most had the buffet, service was good.  I wasn't a fan of the type of food but I was there for the function more than the flavor.   All went well until the function ended.  They would not prepare individual tickets or allow individuals to pay.  We had to pass the hat and pay one bill.  Chaos ensued as our group was not prepared for this.  Some planned on paying with debit, check etc. Our group does this monthly so unless this restaurant changes it's ways my guess is they will lose out on the luncheon groups.

The 169th had a "Hail and Farewell" at the Mediterranean Grill last Wednesday. The chef made a special buffet of chicken, beef, potato's, spinach lasagna, and more... The food was wonderful and the service was superb! The room we had was perfect for the 50 folks that were dining.

We plan on taking out-of-town guests there tonight.

The family went there a few weeks back and really enjoyed the food - they had some great mac and cheese for the twins and my 13 year old had a pizza (she is very fussy and loved her meal) I had greek pasta/ hummus......greek salad- delicious! I like light vegetarian food....and this was fantastic!
The price was a little higher that expected, but we will go back there......even with the toddlers.

Well this afternoon, took the family again. It was around 1 and the restaurant wasnt busy. When we walk in a waitress says someone will be right with us, while she is standing there counting her money. So, after waiting about 5 minutes, We finnally got sat (being that we shouldnt have waited to be sat, due to there being a number of tables open in plain sight). When we were sat, our waitress came in and said she would be right with us and then walked by our table at least 5 times, looking at us. So, after she walks by a 6th time without even acknowledging us, we get up and leave. i do have to say after talking to the manager he tried to right the situation by offering us a free appetizer, but my wife had said it was too late.
I know I know, Im sounding like a a-hole, but i gave this place one try before, during their 1st week of buisness and just chalked it up to the fact that the place was just trying to iron out all of its wrinkles, but this time was worse. I will not be taking my family back there again anytime soon. In my line of work customer service is key, and that is why I am such a stipler about it.

Finally tried tonight and we will not be going back. My husband got chicken marsala and it was gross. Tasty very odd. The chicken tastes like the frozen chicken you get in the store. He ate one bite I ate one bite and we sent it back. My daughters got alfredo and the other got chicken nuggets. Kid meals prices are good. I got chicken pita with wild rice. Rice was very bland no flavor and chicken..well read above about hubbys meal. The waitress was very apologetic, it was not her fault. Then we got the bill and his $14 meal was still on there. We asked her politely why and she said the owner doesnt let  them take stuff off the bill for returned food??????? what!!! we asked that she ask the manager since he did not eat any to take it off
Finally she came back and it was off and asked that we come try then again. We wont though, nothing really appealed to us on the menu
Very clean inside though and nice set up

I was not very impressed.  My hubby got a steak and he loved it.  I got shrimp alfredo.... nothing special... over priced.  I have  a co worker that loves the place, goes on and on about it.  She said the Margaritta Pizza is great.  The service was great and the resturant was very clean.  Would probably go back, but definetly not my favorite.

Took my mom and the wife there, after being "convinced" to go by the wife, and I have to say from the last time we went which was just horrible service to today, was like night and day. Our waitress was nice and the food was great. My mom who this is her first time in town, cant stop talking about the place. I sorta feel it was overpriced, but overall it was really good and i will go back again.

We went here again last week and the service was fast and friendly, the food was so delicious, definitely the best I've eaten in a long time... I had the past Primavera....it was made from scratch and you could taste the freshness - mmmmm.... it is pricier than other establishments, but so worth it as you are eating fresh, home made food....not brought in, frozen entrees!!!!...... a really nice place to take the whole family.
