It irritates me that Crocker no longer provides 24 hour police Coverage, Things have went backwards in some ways.. I don't know that cutting 24 hour protection would be on my list of budget cuts..

« on: August 07, 2012, 12:55:19 AM »
Didn't this happen just a couple years ago.  Crocker should just close the pool till somebody tells them who did it and they get convicted of vandalism.  Why try to help people who don't want to help themselves.  I'm sure some of the young kids who go to the pool regularly know who did it.

So the Pool should be closed, which would affect much of our area because one or two punk kids, I don't understand your logic!

Went to public beach 1 last week, the females are looking horrible, the males however where beautiful and full... I guarantee the Deer at Happy Hollows are not starving by any means... They've ate enough pumpkin vines to keep them replenished for a long time

one to two officers? I'd be happy with Crocker providing 24 hour coverage again... There may not be much crime rate in Crocker during the late to early morning hours.. But I would feel more comfortable knowing that there is an officer on duty at all times in the event something does occur..

Why? enlighten me. Id like to talk to him personally All I have gotten is hearsay.

I'm not a large Anderson Fan, I think he has the experience, but i also think he treats everyone like we are his privates... I am not military nor do i like being treated like a private.. of the two democrats I would have to vote for Bill. As for J.T I can't imagine what kind of hole our county would be in if we had to face his wrath again! I do not know Nick pappas nor have i spoke to him, so i can't elaborate on my thoughts for him. My toss up is between Johnny and Ron, Which my wife and I support both candidates, My vote is very strongly for Ron, my wife doesn't have to agree, which is why we have each of their signs. Based on what i know Ron has been in the leadership "law" enforcement role for many years, He has been through the ranks of a Large department, I think we need that kind of CHANGE. He is very intelligent, he has a lot of great ideas for this county, and is fresh blood. I feel out of all the candidates, Ron and Nick will be the ones that won't be biased for the select "A" crowd so to speak.   In the end, I hope whichever candidate is elected they do whats ultimately right for the residents of Pulaski county...

My question is the Very reason i will be voting for Ron Long, I believe he has exactly what this county needs to lead us into the next four years!

Can any of the candidates assure us that they will be in for the long haul? And not jump and run when the heat comes there way?

I went there last week theres a sign that says the building has been condemned or something along those lines... Not sure...

Excellent Job to all those involved, Although our once useful firepump was turned into a go-cart motor, all has worked out in the end!

Ron Long is the most professional candidate, i think we have, He has far exceeded the 3 other candidates that i know or have met, I cannot say anything against Nick Pappas, Because i do not know him nor have i ever met him. But as far as the others, in my opinion, has had his time, no one liked what he did, Bill Anderson proved to us what we would do with his time, again no one except his buddies enjoyed that, including the deputies....

There was an incident several years ago (in another county) where a woman had a glass of wine after work with friends, then while driving home, came over a hill and she hit and killed a highway patrolman who was in the road working an accident.  I think I remember her BA was .05 (I might be wrong, but I know it was below the legal limit).  She went to prison for a year.  Some thought she should get more, but I'm still on the fence about it.  I think the road conditions were foggy also.  But even a very small amount of alcohol can delay your reaction time.  Here's my story.  I was at a family dinner and had a very small glass of wine.  One of the little German wine glasses.  After dinner, had coffee and cake.  Left about 2 hours later and on the road home, I almost dozed off.  I don't know if it was because of eating a larger meal or the wine, but I'll never do that again.  You just never know.

Texas county it was... Such a tough issue...

I'm sure this is much like the video that was posted about the Stone County Deputies, Did you also see the Deputies are now suing the individuals and there lawyer for defamation... Videos are to easily altered these days! Study DUI law, and then tell me if a driver in impaired or not!

Thank god they were not naked and wearing biker colors, Waynesville PD would have asked for swat back up  :th_police:

Well, obviously they must have been high on drugs themselves (they were probably naked too).  We all know that LE and media don't over exaggerate anything.  They operate on the facts, just the facts (anyone else hear that voice in their head when they read this?)

You want to talk about over exaggerating things, take a look at the video the Biscuit posted, then take a look at all of these threads about these poor little bikers who are being singled out, there my friend you will find over exaggeration!

Biscuit, Have you ever been tazed? It says the the tazing goes on for nearly 30 seconds in the video, when in fact you can here the tazer being activated each time that it is. I see total justification for the officers in this video, They were out numbered, they were against verbally and PHYSICALLY individuals, But the problem is society, They get a couple of people who think they are someone "such as the law abiding intoxicated bikers who will no longer be facing a DWI charge". Then they get a few people just like you biscuit who come on here, joining sides with whoever has the most defense. Not knowing facts, throwing out a tremendous amount of rumors... Only creating drama and fueling those after LEO's Badges because there friends were targeted... Yada Yada Yada.. What needs to happen is you all need to Click the X in the top right corner of your screen, go crack open a beer, and spend the evening with your family.. And leave the officers (who are upholding the law) alone...

Local News / Re: Targeting bikers?
« on: May 15, 2012, 09:33:52 AM »
And you are defending an officer when you have only heard one side of the facts.
Too many issues with this situation, including but not limited to the duration of the stop.

Just a biker, I will I personally know this officer, I know he is one of the most dedicated, educated and most professional out there! You all think he has such a problem with bikers, what would you say if he was a biker? You all forget the fact that there was a drunk driver off the streets because of this stop... (whether the mayor wants to play the politic game and allow the charges to be drop his on her shoulders). Just a biker, you just had a bad deal with a local convenience store in crocker, look how many people supported you and didn't have a clue what went on... It is the same situation here... All of you are sticking up for a group of bikers who are sharing bits and pieces of there side of a story and leaving out the part of the story where they were not abiding the law. (sure they put in some community service hours. So do many of the waynesville police officers but that wasn't mentioned!)

I hate the fact that an impaired man on a motorcycle will now be free of charges because of politics, The police are not the criminals here.

OneandOnly, From what you've been posting, Seems to me Waynesville p.d is the place to be! Great officers, who seem to be requested for assistance often...
