Title: American Idol Season 10
Post by: Coyote on February 10, 2011, 10:30:07 PM
I gotta admit...I really like how it's going so far.  Stephen Tyler is great and compassionate and for the most part kind.  He's a great addition to the show!  I like J-lo as well!  They are a terrific team with Randy Jackson.  I had my doubts at first, but I'm into it for the 10th season.  I think they have put too many through to Hollywood.  The cuts will be deep.

I think they are pretty good too.  And they haven't put through anybody that I thought should not have gone through.  I've seen some pretty good talent this year.  I'm anxious to see tonight in Hollywood.

Im tired of seeing heartstring situations on there. I realize a few have a rough road to hoe.......but really? Is it necessary to showcase one situation and completely ignore others? theres people in hollywood I never seen.....or heard.

I agree, but the guy who stuck beside his brain injured fiance is really a good guy in my book.  That doesn't mean he should win because of it, but I was glad to hear the story.

Wow...we are going to be hearing some of these on the radio.  Look for Scotty McCreary!  What a voice!  To me like a young Randy Travis...maybe better.  Only 17 years old and he's "radio-ready."  My personal favorites are Pia Toscano, James Durbin and Jacob Lusk...They are all very good this year.  I just love what Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have brought to this season.

I'm for James to go all the way.

I think Jacob Lusk is a good singer, but he gets on my nerves when he starts shouting and I just don't like the way he acts.

I don't like any of the girls.

I have a bunch of favorites - and love the judges.

But, I think its it so cool, that James, right off the bat, told America basically - Hey, Ive got Tourettes and Asperger -technically "mental illness" diagnosis..You dont see many people in the spotlight admitting it or portraying characters with Asperger (high level/functioning autism)- I can only think of Dan Ackroyd and the one guy on Boston Legal and Corky.....

Anyway - its best a great season so far....

Tonights show was awesome. Surprise after surprise!

Well, Casey got a reprieve.  I really liked him in the beginning, but he's gone down hill in my opinion.  Maybe getting to sit his butt in the bottom 3 chair will bring him down to earth and get him some humility.  But when you think about it, the judges had to save him because now it won't matter so much because all 11 are going on the summer tour.  Even when one gets eliminated, they will still be part the concert.  I don't think he'll last much longer anyhow.  The weaker singers are floating to the top and ready to be skimmed off.

I was disappointed that they kept Casey.  I don't like his singing and I can hardly stand to look at him.  I think he's just weird.
I thought they should have had all Motown stars on their last night.  That would have been a good show.  Jennifer Hudson looks so good.

OK...tonight is double-elimination night!!  Who will  be leaving us?  I think Casey will go again.  As for the others?  May be Naima.  I don't think she's that good.  But we could be in for a surprise.

Naima was a ball of energy - kudos to her. Hated see Thia go....but was baby girl's time - I do so hope she returns in a future season....

And Fantasia - her SINGING voice has matured soooo much, Patti LaBell of this generation??

Wow...such amazing voices last night.  I think it was somewhat unfair for James to have Zakk Wylde to come out with him.  What if Haley had Paula Abdul come out with her?  Anyway...I think the bottom three this week will be Haley, Chris and Scotty...if there were four, I would add Jacob.  I think Chris is going home.  Unless there is a huge upset.  BTW I never thought Pia was a top contender.  Without her looks she would have gone home before she actually did.  I think the best singer on the show is Steffano.  He probably won't win, but he's awesome.

Who is Chris?  Can't picture him or her.  Is it the curly head guy cause I can't remember his name.

I think the bottom three will be Hayley, Stefano and the curly head guy.

I think the winner will be Lauren.  I'm not a big fan of hers but I just think she will win.  Kids votes count.

Not a fan of Stefano.

I like James the best!!!

The curly head stand-up bass player is Casey and the spasdic rocker is Paul (not Chris-sorry) McDonald.

Oh Paul needs to go, he sounds like a drunk guy singing out of tune doing a karaoke at the Elbow.

I agree his stupid moves alone are enough to vote him off.  Does he call that dancing?

Well, we were right!  Paul is gone.  Look for him on his bus tour to the Elbow Inn!

I think the one person that should have gone before Pia and Paul was Lauren.  I thought Thia had a better voice, plus more maturity.  The same with Scotty,  he is mature for his age and an excellent voice.  My only worry for him is if he gets thrown with a genre change that wont allow him to do a country version..

Paul may moved funny for some ppls taste, but there are famous singers that had strange moves as well.  Close your eyes you wont have to see him move.  He sounded like a cross between a young rod stewart and bryan adams.

I think the final three will be James Durbin, Scotty McCrerry and Casey Abrams

The only time I like Scotty is when he is singing a duet with Lauren.  And you are right, I don't watch him because he has some weird looks on his face and the way he hold the mike is just weird.  Isn't it great we can all have our opinions.  I don't have a favorite and I don't vote so it makes no difference to me who wins.

I think Jacob Lusk is the next to go.  He's alright, but his music doesn't have a big following in my opinion.  I think Steffano is going all the way to the top!

Oh No, not Scotty.  I can't stand to watch him.  He is so creepy.  Sorry

I don't like Rock music but the one with the most talent and the best stage presence is James.

I don't like Stefano, Jacob or Casey.  Any of them could go and it would be OK with me.

still wish lauren would go.  i dont think she will have the confidence to do it.  give herself a few years to mature and develope, then i think watch our her star will rise.

I liked stephano, but wasnt surprised to see him go.

by the how things are going you can see who has a fan base and who doesnt.  I still think the final three will be James, Scotty and Casey

I think the  best quoute of the night on wed.  was from steven tyler when he told james to stay out of his closet.  That "it takes alot of money to look this cheap"...  The funny thing about that is he was probably right.

Dolly reminds me of Tits McGerk , not her real name but what she was called.
She was one of the Grossvenor(spelling?) boys girlfriend.

Wow, I was very surprised by Haley's rendition of "The House of the Rising Sun."  She deserved that Standing O by the judges.  She's got a special sound that I usually am not too crazy about like it sounded she was singing, "Down in Poo Orleans."  Anyway, I think that song will save her for awhile.  Jacob has got to go.

OK...Jacob is gone.  Thank goodness it wasn't Lauren.  She would probably have fainted dead away!  Poor thing was bawling before they even called her name.  I guess being barely 16 makes you a little more sensitive when you get scolded for weakness.  Oh well, if you are going to be a singing star, you have to toughen up.  I think Haley will be next.  I'm not so sure it won't be James.

I'm hoping it is Lauren.  She just showed she's not ready for the cut throat world of entertainment.  She needs to grow up a little.

I think at the very beginning during try-outs, they commented that they weren't sure to push her through because of her age.  She teared up then and they sent her through anyway.  Well, she's sure done a good job, but I feel that way too.  I think she needs to finish highschool and stay with her folks for awhile.  She's still a little girl and way too young to be out there by herself.  Scotty is the same age and I feel the same way about him.  He looks tougher and mature, but he's still a boy.
