Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. BAGHDAD (Reuters)   The U.S. military in Iraq came under Iraqi authority on Thursday for the first time since the U.S.-led invasion ousted Saddam Hussein in 2003, a milestone in the war-weary country's path to restoring sovereignty.
The U.S. force in Iraq, now more than 140,000 strong, had operated since 2003 under a U.N. Security Council resolution which expired at midnight on New Year's Eve. Starting January 1, troops are operating with authority granted by the Iraqi government in a pact agreed by Washington and Baghdad.
The pact gives U.S. troops three years to leave Iraq, revokes their power to detain Iraqis without an Iraqi warrant, and subjects contractors and off-duty U.S. troops to Iraqi law.

It is called a Status of Forces Agreement.  Such agreements are in force in many countries where we have troops.  As long as it is not Sharia law, I see no problem with the agreement.

Now that the terrorists know that Bush turned over power today, shouldn't the world be coming to an end?

Either way, Bush told the terrorists the day.

The exact day.

Didn't you people fake outrage over that, claiming that telling the date to the terrorists would put the troops in danger and the world would come to an end?

that was not what was said.  We stil lhave troops there regardless.  It is complete removal of the troops which will cause a vacuum in that part of the world and invite Iran strsaight in to take over.  then you can clap you r hands with glee.

You know, I would almost think we are talking to Hanoi Jane herself.  Whaddya think?   :jester:
"In order to be a leader of men, a man has to receive an education in his own country, among his own people, and to grow up in surroundings steeped with the traditions and psychology of his countrymen.  Not only did Western education not fulfill that condition, but it tended to wean a young man from the traditions and customs of his country."

King Abdulaziz ibn Saud...circa 1930
Cited by Ronald Lacey in "The Kingdom:  Arabia and the House of Saud"

That is exactly what was said, except now you have to backtrack and change your tune, as always, because this time your guy did it.
