  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Security Tennessee
There are only a few worse feelings than coming back home and finding your house burglarized. You lock your doors and windows and turn on the lights, but that won't be adequate to keep a thief out.

Many people nowadays are going beyond those ancient steps to prevent a break-in. Homeowners have chosen one of the very finest paths to protect their home and their families is with a home protection system.

When Martha Kempf and her folks moved into their home a decade ago, it already had a home alarm system installed. After 2 her neighbors' houses that didn't have alarm systems installed were broken into, she counted her blessings.

According to one study, homes without alarms systems are 3 times more likely to get broken into than those without.

Tom Cook of TC Security has plenty of his corporation's signs throughout Michiana and he has installed thousands of security systems in homes and enterprises.

One reason many people wait is cost.

Protection systems range anywhere from about $200 for a leased system to $400-$500 for getting a basic system. Highly classy systems can get up to $1,500 to $3,000.

Additionally, monthly monitoring charges can begin at about $20 a month.

While the original costs may seem like a lot for a home alarm system, in the months and years yet to come, it could actually finish up saving you cash.

Home security has evolved. You no longer need a normal telephone line in your home.

You don't need a phone line or a land line any longer. There are a few different options. We will be able to connect up to the web, we have cellular technology, and also 2 way radio communicationswe have apps and everything that would indicate when your alarm is going off. You can connect that with video cameras, like a latchkey situation for your kid when they return home from college. There is a video clip when they come in. There's also alarm notification, texting and e-mail that we will be able to inform folks when their alarm is activated.

Home protection systems aren't without their critics. There is about a 80 p.c false alarm rate which, some argue, has led straight to slower reply times from police.

So what are you able to do if reply times by police are in the five to 10 minute range? Have an alarm system that blares loudly both inside and out and also goes off within thirty seconds of a breach.

This is intended to shock off any trespasser before they make off with much or anything at all.

One study shows the average loss for a home with an alarm is $2,000 less then one without because burglars have less time to scrub out the house.

Homeowners insurance discounts too.  Savings in insurance pays my monitoring fees.

Thank you local bussiness for the install.

I concur.  They are the best in the area.
The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt.
