News Release
Identity of Fire Victim
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
Jan. 18, 2012
 
 
After searching without success for the next of kin for the victim of the fire that occurred on 1-16-2012 at 15045 Hardin Lane, St. Robert, Missouri, the Pulaski County Coroner and the Pulaski County Sheriff have decided to release the victimís name.
 
The victim was Alfred R. (Fred) Sax, age 55 of the same address. Mr. Sax was a German citizen who has no known relatives here in the United States. Attempts to reach a possible sister in Germany have failed.
 
At this time the investigation of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the fire are continuing. Additional news releases will be made as new information becomes available.

That's so sad... hopefully the German Embassy will be able to find more relatives for this poor man

So sad to be that alone in a foreign country. I hope he at least had friends here.

Fred was well known and liked by hundreds in the community. He was raised by a local businessman from the age of about 8 or 9. He has "family" here that are grieving his passing, they are just not "blood" relatives. Fred will be missed by all. I had lunch with him about 2 weeks ago.

If he was raised from such a young age by someone surely there has to be some knowledge of his blood relatives?  How would a child at such a young age end up in a predicament like that....  very glad to know that he was a beloved member of the community....so it seems indeed he did have family.. his chosen one which when you think of it..means more ...

now I can put the name with the face. He was always very helpful at orielly's. That was one reason I only go there for parts. Damn shame, RIP.
