Title: Prosecutor's Office Press Release 11-04-16-Plummer's Probation Revoked
Post by: kevinhillman on November 05, 2016, 03:12:40 AM
Kevin Hillman, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney, announces that today in Circuit Court action, former Dixon City Marshal Michael Plummerís probation was revoked.  Mr. Plummer failed to follow the terms and conditions of his probation after pleading guilty under a plea agreement with the Prosecutorís Office to the crime of Hindering Prosecution.  Specifically, Mr. Plummer failed to return all city owned property as agreed and returned some property damaged.  As a result, the Prosecutorís Office filed a motion to revoke his probation.
After a probation violation hearing today, Circuit Judge John Wiggins granted the Prosecutorís Office motion and revoked Mr. Plummerís probation.  Judge Wiggins set aside the suspended imposition of sentence and sentenced Mr. Plummer to one year in the county jail.  He suspended that sentence and placed him on two years reporting probation.  He also ordered Mr. Plummer to serve thirty days shock incarceration in the county jail, with the sentence to be served over the next fifteen weekends.  In addition, he ordered Mr. Plummer to pay an additional $1700 in restitution to the City of Dixon.
