Sometimes there are wolves in sheeps clothing hiding very well among us.  Does anyone remember BTK?  What did all his family, friends, church members all think when he was first arrested?  I am sure they all said the same thing many of you are saying!  I don't know anything about this case, but many times we just don't know.

Be sure you go thru the car and check where you washed up after.
I wish you the best of luck on finding it  :th_gen129:
I have looked everywhere, I don't remember taking it off anywhere and never do, I know it wasn't on when I got home to take a shower but it was there when I was taking a picture of the dog that decided he wanted to eat my carrots over where it started.  Maynard I will extend that offer to you as well.

You had to open your mouth! You forgot the part about the very large, heavy deputy, who was wheezing loud enough to resemble a siren, and whose huffs and puffs blew down three storage sheds on the way to Wal-Mart. But job well done Deputy Dog Sheek. Your scent trail action was superb. My passenger front seat will dry out some time next week.
     Da Sheriff!
I only blew over two sheds, but I was wheezing quite loudly those are some big hills and I am not all about running, but hey I did make it to the front of the store before he was placed in a car.

Well there was a lot of mud since it was raining and the waist high weeds tended to show the track quite well. Forgot to add the suspect description included the phrase, "soaked from the waist down". They had no problem picking him out of the crowd.
JB

I have to say that was a fair description of both the fleeing individual and the deputy, except the deputy was wet from waist up as well, once his vest was removed!

Reputation for what? Lying on paperwork?  Hitting on employees? LOL What type of reputation?

It was not by Gary Rick, it was by another reputable person that left me a voicemail at some point yesterday or this morning, really unsure, but I got it at like 3 am and didn't quite hear all it said as I was mostly asleep.

So has anyone heard what the actual problem was?  I just don't see the Feds coming in a emptying the bases and trucks unless there was more than a small paper work error.  I guess anything is possible, but man that is rough I figure that they woudl have at least gotten a letter or phone call first!
I was told that it was a clerical error in paperwork by a very reputable person!

Hah! thats why he has been leaving me alone :wink1a:  Thanks JB for keeping him busy ;D   :th_gen129:
Wrong Maynard, not me, I have been leaving you alone because my truck caught fire and I have been repairing it!

Might be connected to some on the inside. Why didn't someone dial 911 right away
Actually most banks want the robber outside before the silent alarm or 911 is called.  This lessons the chance of them coming back inside and taking hostages by making sure they are out of the building and the door locked behind them.  Imagine if police show up too early and they don't come out of the building and they actually do have a gun or a bomb.

All of this towing talk has me wondering what the differences are between the towing companies? If I ever have to pick one myself, I am not sure who I would pick.
I would want to know:
1. Do you have a secure place to store my vehicle once you tow it to your lot?
2. What is the initial tow fee charged?
3. Do you charge a fee if I have to leave it there for a few days or weeks?

If there are any tow companies on this board, can you post your prices?

I am not a tow truck owner or operator, but I can tell you that there is one company that in town that a wreck tow is an instant $450.00 plus $35.00 a day storage for every day it sits on their lot.  The lot is an unsecured lot, but they do watch it pretty well.  I told someone to go get something for me out of my truck and he was met with the business end of a handgun for stealing out of my truck!  Oops, damn the concussion, I forgot to call the company and tell them he was coming to steal that stuff for me!  my bad

So Mike Sheek  maybe your the one who does the tows hmmmmmmmmmmmm *****
If you know me, and you do, then you know I have no time in my life for tows!  Exactly when would I find time to do them?

So, who are the 2 people between you and the dispatchers? And do which one of their roles directly affect the towing rotation?

Is it the distpatcher making his/her own call? Is it the distpatcher's boss telling the distpatcher what to do? Or is it boss's boss calling the shots?

In my opinion, It looks like one of your own department is trying to tell you that you have a bad person inside the office and is afraid of his/her job if it was done within the department.
[/quote]

So now not only are you accusing the Capt. Claar and Chief Deputy Cristopher of getting "kickbacks", now in another thread The sheriff himself is getting "kickbacks".  I am here to tell you that most tow companies after fuel, employee pay, insurance and truck payments, are not really making that much extra to payout on every call.  I am not saying some don't because on some things they do, but come on, really!!!!!  I bet you believe all the conspiracy theories to huh!!!

Mike Sheek quitcher whinning dude, yes we know you worship JB but he doesnt walk on water (Which he will admit, Kudo's for that Sheriff)

I worship no man, nor the ground they walk on!  I simply think before you accuse a man that has started the investigation on his own people 4 times of taking bribes, or "KICKBACKS" as was mentioned, is slander anyway you look at it.  I understand that the wrecker driver or family member, or whoever the oneandoneonly is, needs to really think about what they say before they say it.  I can say I agree JB is not perfect, he makes mistakes like anyone else, he is HUMAN, but accusations like that had better have something behind them.  Hell I am not perfect, I upset someone the other day and sure didn't mean to, (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE and I am SORRY).  For crying out loud this has got to stop, just the other day it was below the sheriff and above the Dispatchers so he was accusing either the Capt. or the Chief Deputy, so who will it be next.  I guess next the deputies will be out writing tow slips just to get more tows for the only company that the department is "allowed to use" so that one of the above accused individuals can get more "kickbacks" right!

Mr Long, I have asked you a question and you have not responded. My question can almost be construed as a question of if you wouldn't be taking kickbacks like the current sheriff is. (Which it appears he is because he has never provide truth that he isn't) Also you have not had a response to this issue. Again, if its not true, come on here and publicly denies the allegations. Your silence makes us assumes that you are guilty...
I would be very careful what you are saying about Mr. King, what you are saying there is just about as much an accusation as any I have ever seen.  Statements like this could very well end you up in court.  If I remember right, you still are innocent until proven guilty in this country and not the other way around.  IF it is not that way there are a lot more bad guys that we could put in jail for no apparent reason except we suspect they are and they can't prove themselves innocent.

they also need to remember that this is the only place in the World that has an indoor training facility that trains Soldiers from all brances and several countries on live nerve agent.

Unless others were shut down, we don't have the only one, but remember this is the government and a lot of what goes on, frankly doesn't make sense!

As I was in line voting today, My 5 year old asked who I was voting for, not only did she not agree with who I was voting for, she also asked very loudly why I was not voting for JB King and told me it wasn't right to not vote for him.  A few other people agreed and 1 actually suggested writing him in.

I would definitely not recommend pulling a Democratic ticket to vote against JT. Reason being, this race will be decided in the primary. Whichever Republican candidate wins the primary will be our next Sheriff. I will personally vote for Nick Pappas. He has the experience, but more important to me, he has the "managerial" skills I feel we are lacking. We have 13 road deputies and you're telling me we can only have one on at a time? I believe in Nick, after having several lengthy discussions about what the people are needing from our Sheriff, He never once promised anything that he can't deliver on. He's not part of the "good ol' boy" club. He truly cares about this County, and it's citizens. He is very professional, well spoken and trained. So I would suggest pulling a Republican ticket, and vote for your next sheriff!
Justin I echo that, If you are voting for a candidate, vote for that candidate.  Lets say you vote for Bill which is a good guy, and you really want Burgess, Long, or Pappas to win and JT wins the Primary with Long and you wanted Long, you are now screwed.  If several thousand people do this, then the candidates won't be elected for merit, but because people didn't vote true.

if he didnt even use the knife in a way to hurt or threathen to hurt anyone how can he be charged?seams to me you would have to use the wepon before it could be unlawful use. im a little curious why it is legal to conceal a gun but not a knife?  i dont know if their is more to the story or not but these are the things that concearn me with the republican canididates. in my oppinion from what we have been told i think this guy should have disarmed and sent home on the worst case, not arrested and hauled in.  but i am probably way of base as i am just an old hillbilly ,i beleive in protecting myself and city people want some one to protect them.
Every Republican I know is more about us having our right to carry, defend our selves and so on.  I actually know that one of the candidates on the Democratic side agrees with that on the sheriffs race.  This has nothing to do with Republican or Democratic, it is the law.  If the man had not been doing anything else and he was hunting, I am almost certain it would be a different story!

I can definitely say I saw some of the sickliest deer I have ever seen today. They really look like they are just about to starve, they are moving a long way for water and food.  I am afraid we will see more of this before it gets better.  I really hope this is all that is causing the Elk deaths as well.

HE hates him so bad he is voting for him that is funny *****
No he dislikes the other candidates so much that he isn't voting for them.  He understands that taking equipment that belongs to someone else is not only dishonest, immoral, but just down right wrong.  Which is much more than I can say you seem to understand.  So, if you are not John Thomas why don't you give your name?

MSHEEK I do not know what you are talking about my name is not JT IT IS EDWARD and the man from Crocker knows who is the best man for the job.

Well, since you do not have gonads enough to post under your real name and spout dumb $h!t all the time, pretty much all of us believe you are one in the same.  The man from Crocker admitted he doesn't know who to vote for, but was just voting JT because he was the only person that came to his door.  He hates what JT did to this county.

Sorry Boss I gotta comment on this one, I can say I have lived here for 35 years if taking my college days out 33, but in that I have seen a lot come and go.  I will say I have not seen many things as screwed up as the department was when your predecessor was there.  The cars were wore out, the evidence room had already had almost a years worth of cleaning and you could still hardly get in it, the equipment was old and outdated to say the least.  I will not even comment on the other things that I have seen as I am not sure you would be happy with that.  With that being said, the average person can see a difference, but many do not really see the behind the scenes picture.  I hope and pray that we do not go back in time with this coming election.  It worries me that I was approached this morning by a man from crocker that was a JT die hard just because "JT showed up when was called"  he was comparing run numbers 12 years ago to todays numbers and could not see a difference why it takes a little while compared to back then, even though we run more calls with the same amount of deputies.    Candidates you need to run to crocker and beat some sense into people.  Particularly Beaufort road Friday morning would be a good place to go.  This guy is DIE HARD JT fan because JT is the "only one" who went to his house and he believes every line he was told that lives there.  If you want PM me and I will give yo more info on this.

There are two candidates we flat can not trust, the first one is on the board all the time watching, the second is on the board watching and speaks about the other one.  Edward talks about himself winning the election so that is the two of them.  One is bipolar, I just can't figure out which one is the bi polat one and which one is normal.
