Good for him. there are other bakeries.

I don't think he's dead, i think he's too smart for all that. my thought is, it could be someone who was there when Dorner got there, like a squatter. They need to send in an independant investigation team.

Religion Opinion / Re: Stonebrooke Church

I am a member of Stonebrooke also. My daughter and I have been attending since January of last year. Linda is right, we are there to reach the unchurched, that qualifies anyone who has never gone to church, or has went to church and for whatever reason was hurt, mistreated or abused by other Christians and they are looking for a safe place. i also invite you to come check us out. We have a lively band, some funny (clean) videos, and a good message from a loving pastor who wants to save the lost.

EBT stands for Electronic Benefits Transfer. It means that instead of receiving paper food stamps and checks, you get a debit card.

I attended the meeting at Shelden's Market in Devil's Elbow, MO, today....I'd say that around 75 people attended to show their support for the post office before the postal representative. If you can, please show your support, by buying stamps, or mailing your packages or letters from there. It's important that the postal service witness this activity ASAP because they have a plan to reduce the post office hours in January 2013 to 4 hours a day. Although that means that they aren't closing the post office, the reduced hours will be inconvient to a lot of people and local business that depend on the market and post office for tourism and their mail. This is a very important part of history and a major attraction on Historic Route 66. People come from all over the world to travel Route 66 and to stop there to mail out their postcards with the postmark on them.

Thanks everyone....I still have to finish this semester out, but I had the choice to walk here now or in Springfield in December, so I chose here. It was really nice, graduation was at Nutter Field House and there were about 100 of us graduates from five of the colleges and universities, and they had a reception for us afterwards at the Pershing Club....very nice. Around the middle of December, Drury will mail my AS in Psychology. In the Spring of 2013 I will be continuing towards my BA in Psychology and Sociology.  :th_egypt: :th_egypt:

Restaurant Opinion / Re: Stefano's

My daughter and I were just in there recently....he said the that business was slow and he felt that the economy had a lot to do with it and the new chains coming into the area,...I've heard that from another locally owned restaurant owner....St. Robert doesn't seem to support the little guy. That's too bad. Stephano's was my favorite and we had been going to his restaurant for years...I will greatly miss him and his food.

I'm in shock, I heard the name Alfred when they gave the press release last month but never realized that it was Fred. The german citizen through me off too because i've known him for over 20 years, and never knew that about him. Also, I thought he was married.

State News / Re: Missouri Voters May be Asked to Legalize Marijuana in 2012
« on: November 13, 2011, 02:31:13 AM »
You know, years ago I was very much against legalizing marijuana, but my opinion has changed. It took two years of sociology and a parent and sister suffering from glaucoma to help change my mind. Besides, it would half way empty out our jails and prison systems so the real criminals could be put behind bars and serve their full sentences for more serious crimes. Besides we all know that even though they are serving time for possession they still manage to get it on the inside.
