Local News / Re: HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT APPREHENDED FOR THREATS
« on: January 28, 2013, 07:19:50 PM »
Why was no parents notified of these threats. We never recieved a phone call or email or anything about any threats being made. I know the situation was resolved before any harm was done but I feel that as a parent I would have liked to know what was going on.

I hope it all works out if he didn't do it but if he did than he deserves everything coming to him and probably plus some!

WAYNESVILLE POLICE ISSUE REPORT ON ENFORCEMENT EFFORT

(WAYNESVILLE)--WAYNESVILLE POLICE ISSUED A TOTAL OF 90 TRAFFIC TICKETS DURING A CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY WEEK LAW ENFORCEMENT CAMPAIGN HELD SEPTEMBER 18TH THROUGH THE 24TH. ALTHOUGH THERE WERE NO CHILD SAFETY SEAT VIOLATIONS, 5 SAFETY BELT TICKETS WERE ISSUED, ALONG WITH 53 SPEEDING TICKETS, 4 DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED, 28 OTHER TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS AND ONE FELONY ARREST. FUNDING FOR THE EFFORT WAS PROVIDED THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATIONS TRAFFIC AND SAFETY DIVISION, IN COOPERATION WITH THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION AND THE MISSOURI SAFETY CENTER.   From KJPW Newsradio

I am glad that no safety seat violations where issued.. I would rather see 100 adults without seatbelts than kids.. I do think that everyone needs to wear them but kids really are a must! I hate seeing an accident report where a child was killed or badly hurt because of not being in  a safety seat or seatbelt.

This is very very sad! I am not sure but heard that alcohol might have played a part in it? Does anyone know if that is true or not.. I am not seeing anything like that on the report. I sure as heck hope it didn't.

State News / Re: Drug testing for welfare folks
« on: January 22, 2011, 03:15:26 AM »
I agree with this. I think they need to do drug testing on people whom get unemployment as well. We have people who have been on unemployment for years. I know it is hard to find work but if you look everyday, I am sure you could find something if only part time. Test these people and watch just how many fail.

Wow scarey! lol

Never heard of souvenir T- Shirts given out at funerals. Why would you want a T-Shirt anyways, seems like that would just be a constant reminder of the events and make it more difficult to move on.

Please correct me if I am wrong but did I read in another post that someone passed a bad check and was sitting in jail waiting to post bond and than I read this where someone was issued a criminal summons for domestic assault? So if the person was issued a criminal summons than they are no longer in jail? If that is right than can someone explain to me why a person who passes a bad check has to sit in jail but someone who assaults someone else gets to walk around free and possible do it again? Doesn't make much sense. An assault seems way more dangerous than a bad check.
If I am wrong there than sorry I like like an a** lol but I think I am right.

I love how its cool for him to say stuff like this but if a white dude said it all hell would break loose.  Are people really this blinded by their own stupidity?  Nevermind I already know the answer is yes, which really really worries me.

I agree with you!!

If the cops have been there 5 times why don't they just move into the police station? Save the police gas and they can just go to their "rooms" when they fight.

City Government Opinion / Re: Waynesville Pool tax vote
« on: October 30, 2010, 03:06:39 AM »
Why does Waynesville need a pool now. St Robert is building a nice one. The two are so close you have to really pay attention to see when you go from one to the other. The pool problem is fixed, Waynesville needs to put their energy into something else that both cities can enjoy. Take the back side of the park and make a sports range for archery, firearms ect. Have classes for the young and let the old play. JMHI

Nice idea. I know that would get my husband to take the kids to the park more often lol.

I like the sprinklers that they have at the park now. It is free for the kids so even the familys whom don't have an extra $5 to take their kids to the pool can enjoy the water. Why not just add on to them instead of a pool?

Hopefully? LOL

I got 4 new tires in lebanon at WW. I got them 2 years ago and never had any problems. I just went back there last week and replaced the front 2. They are good tires and cheap! I paid $130 for 2 new ones to be put on balanced and everything.  :woohoo:

Pulaski Enquirer / Re: NEWS PHOTOS - To Publish or not to Publish
« on: September 11, 2010, 09:57:23 PM »
I think they should show the photos of the car. No one was complaining about all the photos that where shown on Sep. 11 when the towers went down and in my opinion those photos where way worse than any car crash photos I have seen. The pictures from the twin towers of the victims jumping out of windows and people laying on stretchers. Those where shown for months. Car crash photos are shown once and most of the time forgotten about shortly after.

He has another surgery tomorrow for his hip and pelvic. No his last name is Mcvey. He is military. My sister just got home from visiting him. I was wrong earlier when I said he had a punctured lung. It is his liver that is punctured. They moved him out of icu today and he is now in a regular room and doing good.

The wreck on highway 17 (car vs. truck). The guy in the car (Aaron) is a friend of my sisters. He is still in the hospital but doing well. He has a few broken bones and a punctured lung but doing good.
