Jess at Lions Mane, in St Robert, is AMAZING.  She usually has long wait, so plan on booking ahead, but worth the wait! ~~~~ Heather, Beth & April are great also!  I've went to them when I couldn't wait to get in with Jess and was very happy with their work!  Very affordable!

Just go in, and avoid the "Laziness Fee". We always pay extra for being lazy, that why we pay for convienence. It costs more money per gallon, at a full service gas station, than it does for self serve. Why wouldn't we expect the same while we wait in our vehicle for someone to bring our restaurant order to our window. Maybe we can have them reach into our pocket and grab our wallet so we don't have to move. Ok, I'll admit the last part was overly dramatic. I understand why people would use this service. A parent with young kids in the car for example, or a disability. We should expect to pay for it though.

Still 15% is a little much hmmm?

It increases your risk of cancer... guess you disagree with the tax on cancer sticks also?

Sounds like they were trying to save money, by reducing the number of telephone lines?  Maybe that will help out all departments.

memyselfandI - I'm sure you already learned this lesson, but always always get the name of the person who takes down the reservation & call a week before to re-confirm.  I learned that the hard way too!

See what a change  in administration in city hall will do? As far as a population base how can Iberia have a Dollar General and a Caseys? Their population base can't be any bigger.

This was put into motion before the new members took office.

I think Ora's husband joined the Navy.  I'm not sure if she's still in the area.

Really any senior that can hardly get around should be given a break.  It's got to be hell getting old!

I didnt go till 7. I havent went in a few years but this time I REALLY REALLY wanted the digital photo frame for $39.00. I wanted it so so bad! They had15 and they were gone in 60 seconds!! Only 15 of em! I was so upset I actually cried because I went after a steve McQeen from cars bean bag chair for my grandson to for $15.00. Didnt get that either! I was so mad! It is such a gimmick! so I left with a 2gb memory card but no frame to put it in! I cant afford what they want for those frames regular priced! It would have been so cool to put my grandsons monthly photos in there and watch the slide show and watch him grow! I came home tried to get in online it said out of stock so I called every walmart within a 100 mile radiaus including all 4 stores in springfield and NONE of them had any!! Im done ranting now. Thats all I wanted for christmas was that darn frame! The chair was optional so it really didnt bother me cause I have alot for him but the frame was gonna be my present! LOL

Actually they had a lot of the frames~ A whole pallet full of them!  People were putting them in their cart way before 5 though.  I know.... I was there at 3:30.... I was the first person to get into the Xbox games behind the glass....for the longest time I thought I was in the wrong spot because the isle was empty...then about 15 till 5:00... it was apparent I was in the right spot.  I even had a woman offer me $20.00 to hand her an XBox that was behind the glass....... I went with about five friends and between all of us we all got what we went for!  Go Early & Take A Lot of Friends lol!!!

From What I heard... the lady in Springfield that left the toddler & infant in the car while she went in to shop, was the babysitter!  Could you imagine as a parent what you would want to do to her!  Thank God, she got caught and it's become such an issue.  There's really no telling how many times in the past she may have done the same thing, but didn't get caught at it.  I hope she get's a proper punishment.

Local News / Swedeborg Residents Be Aware
« on: June 08, 2008, 04:14:45 AM »
Hello.  I wanted to make residents in Swedeborg aware of an attempted robbery.  At Approx. 5 AM this morning my father was asleep on his couch, when he awake to someone opening his front door.  We never use the front door, so he realized right away that something was not right.  He yelled "Who Is It?"  And he heard a male's voice yell "Run".  He jumped up and tried to see if he could get a look at them but was unable to see anyone.  Its pretty scary because they have plenty of things like lawn mowers etc outside that could have easily been taken.  But whoever they are must of really wanted to get inside.  I just thought residents should be aware.  I know that crime is everywhere, but its creepy when it takes place in a little town like Swedeborg.  Also, if anyone has any information, please feel free to contact the Sheriff's Dept.  Thank you!

One of the things I like about Cracker Barrell is its very kid friendly.  You can take your infant & pumpkin seat in, and they have a really neat & safe chair, that sits level with the table.  I hated taking my daughter to resturants and having to leave her sitting in her pumpkin seat on the floor!

I was not very impressed.  My hubby got a steak and he loved it.  I got shrimp alfredo.... nothing special... over priced.  I have  a co worker that loves the place, goes on and on about it.  She said the Margaritta Pizza is great.  The service was great and the resturant was very clean.  Would probably go back, but definetly not my favorite.
