For consignments, first you have to get an account number, then once after that, you will get the paperwork and you fill this out for your consignments and you put your price that you want for the item, items.  We will take 35% off of that amount.  Once you get an acount number, you can write up your items (15) per day, at home and have it ready to go, when you get there.  You are allowed 15 items per day, 5 clothing and 10 missalowance (spelling).  You do need to call 329-4707 or 329/2537, after hours to see what we are not taking for that week, but I kinda feel sure the 10 miss., we will be taking for awhile.  Plus, if you don't have any clothing, you can put in 15 miss.  Glad that all came out yesterday.  Like I said before, give us a couple weeks and we will be up to par.  Items will be put out as fast as we can get it on the shelves and racks.  We have gobs to put out, but we need volunteers, as the staff is overwhelmed.  To vonunteer, you do have to have a Mil. ID card.  We pay child care, up to ( I believe $50.00) per volunteer, per month.  Thanks again....Pat

Just an update for the FLW Thrift Shop.  We will open this Tuesday at 9am .  The new store hours will be:  Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 till 3.  A new time will be on Wednesdays from 2pm till 7pm.  Hope this will enable people who work, can get in and shop.  Saturday hours will be from 10am till 2pm, ONLY ON MILITARY PATDAYS, which will be every other Saturday.  We are located behind the hospital Emergency Room, Bldg 204.  The phone numbers are 329-4707 or 329-2537.
We are not going to take consignments this Tuesday, but will start again on 6 May.  We do have a couple new consignment rules.  The least amount you can put on an item is $2.00 and the percentage rate will now be 35%, that the TS will get.  We are non-profit, but we have to pay all the utilities and they just keep going up, like everything else. You have to have a military ID card to consign, but not to shop.
We still have a way to go to get completely stocked, but give us day to day and we will have new items out each day.  Thanks, Pat. :{:{: :{:{: :{:{: :{:{: :{:{: :{:{: :{:{:

Last time I ordered at the drive thru, got home and it took one bite and I threw the tacos in the trash.  The taco meat was so hot and spicy, I knew I couldn't eat anymore.  I need a little spice in my life, but not from Taco Bell's.  I can get mine at home... :karma: :karma: :karma: :karma:

Thanks to all about the concerns, etc  for the FLW Thrift Shop.  I am the chairperson on the council of the Thrift Shop and we are going to re-open on the 29th April at 9am.  We did have to hire a new manager, which she is in place.  When the other manager resigned, we decided to close for awhile, paint, redo, etc.  We did have 4 days of sales the last 2 weeks.  When we reopen, we will have lots of everything, as the donations sure have not stopped and of course, consignments will start up again on the 29th.  SEE YOU ALL THEN>>Thanks Pattijo

Had a call last night and a friend said they had eaten there for the lunch buffet and she said everything was great.  Said the catfish and the macronni salad was the best, but all was good.  They invited us to go with them next week-end.  She said the owner was a great guy and they would make sure they went back over and over.

Hillybilly, give us another chance.  We only have what is consigned or donations.  Perhaps when you were there it was a day that there was something not on the floor you were really looking for.  Please don't put us down.  Am sure you have been to other mothers and good sam and you didn't find what you were looking for.  To include the above 2 and us, we only have what we can put out on the floor.  Other mothers give nothing back to the community, as far as I know.  They are a profit business, we are a NON_PROFIT organization.  Good Sam, I believe gives only to Genisis.  WE give to non-profit organizations, off and on post.  Give us a another try.  We give to fire victims, families who need clothing, etc, we give to all the schools, off and on post.  The schools have different requests and we fill all them.  We give to ROTC, uniforms, etc.  WE JUST GIVE, so please come back and see us.  Thanks.

Chicken livers are to die for.  That is my favorite, but everything else I have always had is good.  Just don't eat toooooooo many rolls before your meal gets to you.  You will need a take home bag.  The wait is worth it.

Don't know if this is true or not, but I have been told bats fly in the cave while you are eating.  Don't believe I will ever go there.  Could you imagine, getting ready to eat your food and SPLAT, right in your plate.YUK

I think it's a great thing and why put a stop to something that will inform kids and hopefully make them aware of the dangers of what could happen.  KEEP UP A GOOD PROGRAM.
