I know a lot of "Christians" that kill, steal and more. Some of the biggest serial killers were proclaimed Christians, and two were famous cannibals, so that theory does not fly. As far as morals, every creature in the world has morals, they may be different than what you expect, but they exist. As far as what the bible says is right from wrong, those same values were preached from 100s of other religions long before Christianity. Even back during the Greek mythology days, and the Morse Gods, the same values were held in account, actually a lot more stricter and faithfully than today.Based upon history, having a faith in Christianity is by no means a measurement of ethics or morals. Look at the crime in India for example. Three major religions, Hindu, Muslim, and Christian. Yet those recently arrested gang raping a girl on a bus were Christian……so it is not the religion that makes a person ethical or of high morals, it is the person’s actions that measures this.

So you get 3 years for having inappropriate cartoons, but crimes like manslaughter during a DWI get you propation.......

Military training on weapons is much different that police or ccw training. In the military you are trained to hit the target, not learn when you would or should not. Not to mention, there are a lot of military veterans, especially after the last 10 years who now have physiological issues, and should definitely be screened tightly before being given a ccw. Love all the veterans, but soon we will have a lot of untreated walking time bombs and the last thing we need to do is give them the match to light the fuse.

Religion Opinion / Re: Stonebrooke Church
« on: January 23, 2013, 05:04:01 PM »
Actually I have attended this Church, road in on my bike, had my bike leather about me, and was very welcomed. Did in no way feel pressured to re-attend, promise or commit to anything, and everything they talk about is family, and living a respectful life.

So no, I do not believe that it is a comedy club, no more than I find humor in your joke. But I also do not put this on the same line as a church. As they say, it is a place to go for people who hate church. Yes, they do take stories from the bible and show how these stories apply to your lives today, but they don't stuff down your throat that this is the way and you are going to hell if you don't follow them.
Even if you do not believe in a Deity or in Jesus, the bible does show good principles to follow to be a good honest person, and this is more the direction I felt this church teaches its followers, simply how to be a better person in today's world, using the story the bible tells us, and not so much is dwelling on the history of the Bible

I went out on youtube, and looked at all the conspiracy videos, and conspiracy debunked videos, and say and it clearly shows the agent (guessing) clearing a shotgun from the trunk of that car. If that is indeed the picture of his vehicle, and the "other" weapon, then the weapon he left in the trunk was not the illusive AR 15, but a shot gun.

It's amazing how some conspiracy stories are never to be believed, (ie 911) because that goes against our views, 911 would have meant that Bush and his administration was responsible, but this one must be true, because we all know Obama wants our guns so therefore, it was all staged to take our guns.

The problem is
1) Overzealous media who want to be the first to announce things and give out bad poop instead of actually doing background of their info
2) Nut jobs who think everything that goes on is a conspiracy. I viewed all the videos, and 90% was all video taken out of context, and the biggest one is the same Canadian that also did the 911 conspiracy video, also did one the Katrina was a conspiracy, and so on.

The biggest thing everyone is NOT talking about is, 26 people died that day that should not have.
I own guns, everyone is registered, and I have no problem with making sure every gun, just like every car, is registered.
I also would have no issue if I had to get a license for a gun, just like I have for my motor vehicles. Making this a requirement for me to fire a gun will somewhere eliminate a psycho from getting one.
Yes, there are allot of laws and no they are not very well enforced. But each state has different ones, and one state can have a strict one which does them no good when the state next to them is very lenient.
I do believe this is a national issue and a national law needs to be emplaced.
Now do I believe this will eliminate all shootings? NO.  But I think legal weapon owners need to realize it is either allows weapons control through licensing, registration and background checks for all sales versus losing your right to own all together.
I think they really need to stiffen the laws about illegal weapon sales (Holden should get busted too).
Basically, we need to eliminate all the different state laws, as most of them counter each other, and create one set of federal laws that apply to all states.   I know most gun owners are totally against any type of government control of their weapons, and nobody WANTS this, but I think this will be the only way gun owners can keep their weapons at the same time doing the best to deter those that want weapons for the sole purpose of ill intent.

Pulaski County Election Results / Re: There is another choice
« on: November 05, 2012, 07:23:31 PM »
That's one state.  If I'm not mistaken there are 49 more that do not have a marijuana issue on the ballot.  As I said, don't waste your vote.
There is no such thing as a wasted vote. Just because you may vote for the loser, does not mean it is a wasted vote, if you are voting for what you believe in. If Obama wins, does that mean everyone who voted for Romney wasted their vote? Or vice a versa?

Local News / Re: Possible shutdown of Fort Wood may be in our future
« on: August 09, 2012, 06:53:53 PM »
This article is speculative at best. It contains no facts. Again, there has been no BRAC study, and even if it was started today, would not be ready for a report by 13/1/1. And even if a report was done by 13/1/1, FY 15 would be too soon for a shut down. It would take at least 5 years to build the facilities required to move the Chem and MP, like it did when they moved here, plus to move the entire Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) would be a major undertaking.
Benning is not going anywhere’s, it is about to grow major units there, Ft Hood, and Ft Bliss can’t take anymore, they are to full. Ft Riley maybe, but doubt it.
I see FLW growing before I see it going away, and it has nothing to do with politics, it has to do with space to grow and cost effectiveness.

Get the Waynesville Cops to just shoot it (they are experienced in that line of work) then donate the meat to the harvest like we do during deer season, Like Dog, Horse is a fine meal.
Tastes just like chicken

I imagine there are all kind of legalities on that jq. Biggest one is asking him, and then him getting hurt, PC would be in a very bad law suit.

National News / Re: Gunman kills 12 in Colorado movie theater
« on: July 23, 2012, 05:25:32 PM »
I know many die hard gun activist will disagree with this, but I really think getting a gun and like materials should be harder, not easier. I own guns, they are all registered, and kept secure. What I do not agree is, like this fruitcake, that you can go to any gun show, buy a weapon with no checked ID, go on line and buy all the bomb making material he had with out any checks, no registration, nothing.
I have been to enough gun shows and seen the action going on it the parking lots, selling AKs, AR 15s, and other weapons to anyone who has the money with absolutely no background check, not even verifying the ID is legal.
I have no issues with right to carry, I have no issues with CCW, I do have any issue that any moron who has money can go out buy whatever they can afford, and go shoot over 70 people at a money theater and no body will stop the madness all because it's our second amendment.
And CCW ill not stop this either, it is not the savior to all idiots out there. You all have children or grandchildren, imagine the same scenario in a school auditorium, the school is all together for a play of other school function and he comes storming in, drops gas canisters and goes to shooting........I guess this is OK as long as his 2ND amendment rights were not violated.

I read this article, and while i do not want to see anyone rights removed, i to think that something needs to be done to ensure that people wanting to purchase firearms are legal, and that there is accountability in the sale of that weapon. This country is not the same one as it was in the 50. or 60s. The original 2ND amendment was written 200 years ago. The population has multiplied by 10 fold and this is no longer the wild west. Selling highpowered automatic weapons from the back of your trunk to anyone at a gun show days need to be over.

I saw something on FB that made me laugh. I said every person in Switzerland is issued a weapon by the government and it has the lowest crime rate from guns in the world.
What that statement failed to say was 1) Yes all in Switzerland are issued a gun, because it is mandatory for every citizen to join the service. 2) All these weapons are not kept at home, every town has a target range, and they must keep their guns locked up there The reason Swizerl and have so few gun related incidents is because they have one of the strictest gun laws, so not even the criminals can get them. Be careful what you ask for

I agree and disagree with the CCW taking care of this issue. No one would know until it happened, but I think more Innocent people would have been shot if others had been there with a gun, only because it was dark, and he had thrown 2 gas grenades in to the room before firing. I think it being dark, with CS in the air would have made things difficult to know where the bullets were coming from. Many witnesses only know shots were being fired, but did not know from where. He had came in from a side entrance, so was not exposed by any rear door lights or anything. And like many also said, at first many thought it was effects from the money until people started dying.
I know CCW have gone through training, but i think if people had been in that theater with the gas and shots being fired from several types of guns, panic would have set in and someone would have just started shooting all over. jmo

State News / Re: Seven Arrested in DWI Checkpoint
« on: June 25, 2012, 09:03:09 PM »
It is not illigal to have safety checkpoints on a state funded highway. I think they are great. I have been in Missouri since 1992, n and have had to stop at 2 of these. I know when they have them on Hwy 28, they ail a bunch of people that are driving with no lisence or insurance to. Since I have lived here, I have has 2 vehicles hit and totaled by another driver, neither had insurance, both had been drinking. So I have no problem in having legal checkpoints getting people who should not be on the road, off the road.

This is a great idae. I love the over 21 Marquee. They have theaters like this in Germany. Loved them, It is like sitting in your living room, except you get some one else to go get your beer. I do not know why everyone is being so critical. I think any new business or upgrade from another is a great thing, regardless of where it goes.

Religion Opinion / Re: north carolina passes gay marriage ban
« on: May 17, 2012, 05:02:39 PM »
Not true at all, while we are in the dispensation of grace that does not by any means nullify all the old testament, not by a long shot.
I have no problem with anyone who uses the Old Testement to use as a reason on why Gay people should not marry. But if you are going to use the OT as any guidance, then you should by all means us ALL of it to guide your life and beliefs, not just the parts that serve your purpose. I see so many people come on here and say in the OT it was banned. But when they talk about the other things, such as the treatment of women, and other very strict religouis implecations, they suddenly use the NT and say it is OK.

matrsnot, I understand that he had done nothing wrong, but shots were fired, did anyone check to make sure he had not been shot before everyone had left. It seems to me anytime shots were fired, a wellness check should have been done to ensure all parties are OK before leaving the area.

TF, don't know who you are, don't care. I am guessing that you are one of these officers based upon telling me to "Use direct "  " from the video so that when the video is made public you will be held accountable for your words." The truth will come out in the end and the video will brobably go viral after the law suit.
