i dont think so, this guy could have hit a kid or my HUSBAND that does the crosswalk becuase he didnt want to pull over for the cops and you guys think that it is ok for him to be speeding in a school zone, i do feel sorry for the family and i hope he pulls throught but i dont think that it is right that you guys think that the cop should have let him go just because he was on a bike, what makes a diffence between a car and a bike speed?

SO YOU ARE SAYING THAT IT IS OK FOR THIS GUY TO BE GOING 70 MPH IN A SCHOOL ZONE? IF SCHOOL  WOULDNT HAVE GOT OUT EARLY THAT HE COULD HAVE HIT A KID AND KILLED THEM. SO YOU ARE SAYING THAT IT OK FOR PEOPLE ON BIKES TO SPEED IN SCHOOL ZONE AND FOR THE COPS NOT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT?

yes this was my wedding and it was june 14th: we
was at the laquey v.f.w if our dance and they thought that i had alcohol poision so they called 911 and i was taken to the hospital and the emt called the cops because she said that the groom was fighting with the groomsmen witch was not true they was teying to keep him calm and telling him that everything was going to be ok and that they need to get in the cars so that they could get to the hospital to me, well as they was all walking to their cars to go to the hospital this cop pulls in slams on his brakes because he went to far and backs up as fast as he can the jumps put with his gun already pulled told everyone to get on the ground theb he calls for back up there was 2 other pulaski county officers and 1 highway potrol, then they cuffed everyone they was trying to tell this cop that they was trying to get everyone in the car so that they could get to the hospital and he said that he didnt care and told them all to stay on the ground, and when he was told that there was kids in the car he said i dont care if there are kids in the car or not then went to the car pulled the father out of the car put him on the ground with a gun to his head and was stepping on his head that put a hole in his chin, then he started pointing the gun right at a 7year old and a5 year old if that gun would have went off it would have hit the 5 year old in the head and killed her!! then when the other cops got there and found out what was going on they  started helping people up off the ground and uncuffing them then when they found out that there was kids in the car the told the mother to go to her children they even said that it was wrong with what he did and they could not believe what he did... then the officer took the groom and 2 of the groomsmen to jail, but no one had to make bail or was booked, but this officer did not fill a report out till a week later, we then went in to talk to jb about what his officer did and this is what he said that he would look in to but that we had to understand that they are low pay and they cant get that good of officers that they have to get what they can. till this day we still have not got any answers.... this kids are scared of cops when the see one the scream because they think that its going to happen again the 5 year still has nightmares and in the nightmares the gun goes off and kills her daddy and her. if you was this girl mom and dad wouldnt you want something done????? and answers to why this officer acted the way he did and why JB failed to do anything to this officer??

Ive been reading recent DG comments re: a wedding party gone wrong, a deputy and children, Im sure SOMEONE knows...was this deputy the only LE on scene?  (the answer will tie into this topic)

i was told by two people that the belle bank was robbed but i havent heard anyone else say anything about so not for sure that is was or not, that is just what i was told. i grew up only 10 mins from meta, things like that happen alot around there because the law is not close , so people know that they will get away with it at the time, because they will be gone before the cops get there.

i am 22 and ambulance drivers  are the ones that called in because the said that the groom and the groomsmen was fighting and they wasnt, and she knew it. and what sense would it have made to call the cops if the person commited the assult was be taken to the hospital?? and for cop to show up and point the gun at the allegied victims of the assult? that doesnt make sense at all now does it

That could have easily been mistaken for an actual assault.  And their is no telling what your niece was screamng at the time, the ambulance drivers probably called it in.  How old is your niece?

19
it was wrong with what he did!! i just couldn't believe what he did with two little kids there. he has to have something wrong with him to do that to two kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS WRONG AND HE KNEW!

Yes there is more to the story, lets just say, I do not have the same outlook for pcsd anymore, at least one officer in particular.  *****

Darrell Todd Maurina

The principal of Dixon High School has resigned with little public explanation.

When students returned to class Thursday at Dixon High School after several snow days, they learned that Paulette Crouthers, who was in her second year as principal of the district, had resigned.

An announcement to staff and students issued Thursday stated that “Ms. Crouthers has resigned and will not be returning. There will be an administrator available in the building throughout the day and always just a phone call away.”

Board members held a special meeting last week and voted by a 6-0 margin, with one member absent, to accept her resignation effective immediately, according to Dixon Superintendent Dawna Burrow.

Crouthers had previously served as principal of Southern High School in Ellington, according to online information for that school district.

In a prepared statement approved by school attorneys, Burrow said Crouthers’ salary at the time of her resignation was $66,215. In addition to being state-certified to serve as a principal for kindergarten through high school, Crouthers is certified in elementary education and teaching mathematics to grades 7 to 9.

Her undergraduate bachelor’s degree was from Southeast Missouri State University; her masters’ and specialist degrees are from William Woods University.
