Business Opinion / Other Mothers Closing
« on: January 04, 2009, 03:28:03 AM »
I went in there today and they are closing on the 31st of this month.  They are not taking in trades or offering cash back - you can only use credit and if you haven't used all credit up by the 31st, then tough luck! It's sad that they are closing, I'm sure they are going to be missed by the community.

Tell us your favorite Joke / senior citizen in his corvette
« on: September 23, 2008, 04:57:33 PM »
A Senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the Arizona dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.

'Amazing,' he thought as he flew down I-10 toward Tucson, pushing the pedal even more. Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw the highway patrol behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring.

He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120.  Suddenly he thought, 'What am I doing? I'm too old for this,' and pulled over to await the Trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the Trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch and said, 'Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I' ll let you go.'

The old gentleman paused. Then said,
'Years ago, my wife ran off with an Arizona State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.

'Have a good day, Sir,' replied the Trooper

Business Opinion / Small Business Owners-I have a question or two
« on: February 21, 2008, 04:45:12 AM »
I am still working on my business plan to get my business off the ground.  But, I am interested to find out what bank/s or CU's would you say are the best to deal with? Being a former banker of 12 years I know small business banking is a different animal than personal banking....fees for one are a big concern...
Also, did you have difficulty in getting "off the ground" is Pulaski County a good county to open a business in?
Am getting excited about my venture and feel it is one that will be an asset to this community - but am preparing myself for the long "stressful" ride to the ribbon cutting!
Thank you, Melissa
