Local News / EMBEZZLEMENT theft at Waynesville School District ?????
« on: January 06, 2015, 06:47:45 AM »
I find it odd that this theft that was in the thousands of dollars has literally been swept under the rug.  Equally distressing is other criminals are being prosecuted for so much as writing a bad check(s), yet this individual will most likely never see the interior of a court room and receive punishment for their crime.  This is disgusting on many levels.  Kevin, I had posted about this from time to time and your response is always that it was turned over to another jurisdiction.  Wow....  does this not bother anyone other than me?

Kevin your own words..... “These sentences send a strong message that criminal behavior will not be tolerated in Pulaski County,” said Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Hillman. ...

I guess it depends on who it is doesn't it?

Local News / Baby Death in Waynesville
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:49:04 PM »
http://www.ky3.com/news/ky3-baby-died-after-an-adult-fell-on-him-in-waynesville-mo-20120104,0,5033357.story

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. -- Investigators are looking into the circumstances that caused the death of a 4-day-old baby on the afternoon of New Year’s Eve.  Pulaski County Coroner Mikel Hartness says it appears Journei Presley died from internal bleeding about 12 hours after an adult fell on top of her while she was in a portable car seat inside a home.
Hartness says a pathologist conducted an autopsy in Springfield but it could be several weeks before he makes a final determination on the cause of death.  Waynesville police, Pulaski County sheriff’s deputies and Hartness jointly are investigating why the adult fell on Presley about 2 a.m. to determine if it was anything but an accident.
Presley’s mother was visiting at the home where the fall occurred.  She examined Journei and found no outward signs of injury.  She said the infant did not cry after the fall.
The mother returned to a place in Waynesville where she was staying.  On Saturday afternoon, the mother fed Journei and then laid her down so she could tend to an 18-month-old sibling.  When she checked on Journei a few minutes later, she says she was unresponsive.  An ambulance took the infant to the hospital at Fort Leonard Wood but doctors pronounced her dead about 40 minutes after the 911 call.

Tell us your favorite Joke / MAN RULES
    « on: August 25, 2009, 11:04:18 PM »
    [/]
    THE MAN RULES :wink1a:

At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down
Finally , the guys' side of the story.
    ( i must admit, it's pretty good.)
We always hear " the Rules "
    From the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side.

    These are our rules!
Please note... these are all numbered "1"
    ON PURPOSE!

    1.   Men are NOT mind readers.

    1. Learn to work the toilet seat.
You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down.
We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
    1. Sunday sports It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides.
    Let it be.
    1. Crying is blackmail.
    1. Ask for what you want.
Let us be clear on this one:
    Subtle hints do not work!
    Strong hints do not work!
    Obvious hints do not work!
    Just say it!
    1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.
    1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
    1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.
    1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
    Don't ask us.
    1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the  other one.
    1. You can either ask us to do something
Or tell us how you want it done.
    Not both.
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.
    1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials...
    1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.
    1. ALL men see in only 16 colors.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not A color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is!
    1. If it itches, it will be scratched.
    It's what we do...
    1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.
    1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, Expect an answer you don't want to hear.
    1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really!
    1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as cars, sports or women.
    1. You have enough clothes.
    1. You have too many shoes.
    1. I am in shape.  Round IS a shape!
    1. Thank you for reading this.
    Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;
But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.
Pass this to as many women as you can -
    to give them a laugh...
Pass this to as many men as you can -
to give them a bigger laugh!

     ::D:

           1.  Cows
           2. The Constitution
           3. The Ten Commandments

    COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

    THE CONSTITUTION
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq ... Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

    THE 10 COMMANDMENTS

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse or Congress is this --you cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians .... it creates a hostile work environment.

    Local News / METEOR SHOWER
    « on: August 12, 2009, 04:15:10 AM »
Couldn't really figure out where exactly to post this....  but is anyone outside watching for the meteor shower?  I just came in and I was able to see a few this early in the evening.  It is the Perseid shower....you can see some tonight but the peak viewing will be early dawn hours on the 12th....  so any night owls or others so inclined to see a great show put on by Mother Nature... go outside and get away from the lights (streetlights/shops/etc) and look towards the east (early viewing) and more overhead in the later hours....   it can be quite spectacular!

Local News / THANK YOU ST. ROBERT PD/MO HIGHWAY PATROL
    « on: July 19, 2009, 04:05:15 PM »
I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the St. Robert PD  :police:  & Missouri Highway Patrol  :police:  for taking the information that I called in regarding a very unsafe driver last night.  I was able to stay on the line with the St. Robert dispatcher and saw that you did get the driver pulled over.  Whewwwwwww!

It was not a pretty picture on the drive in on Hwy. 28.  I thought that the person was going to hit someone!...but you guys got em' pulled over and it looked like they were getting a field sobriety test.

I don't like anyone driving under the influence of anything and if that was the case last night I hope that they were removed from the roadways.  20+ years ago I, my child and best friend were almost killed by a driver under the influence.   :(

WAY TO GO GUYS & GALS!   ***(**&

Local News / Stolen Campaign Signs
    « on: October 20, 2008, 09:51:27 PM »
I am so flippin' agitated right now.  Seems that someone decided that they needed our sign which we displayed in our yard more than WE needed it.  Seems that those same someones decided to relieve most of Dixon and Richland of those signs along with damaging the larger ones.

I just think it sucks....  if you don't agree with MY choice of candidate that is YOUR perogative but you have NO right to come onto my property and remove my sign.     :anger:

Don't worry.  I got another one today and this one will be affixed to my house.  If it is taken, woe to the person who does it.  Cause if I catch you...........

grrrrrrrrrrr...  man am I mad right now.

Local News / What happened in Dixon last night???
    « on: August 05, 2008, 12:08:56 AM »
I live in Dixon and was on my way home later in the evening around 9-10 ish.  Ambulance, PCSD Dept., Military M.P.'s at a house just around the corner from us (literally 3 houses away).  I knew it wasn't good when I heard the chopper overhead.

A person was taken (lights and siren) to the Dixon H.S. where the chopper landed.  Don't know anymore than that.

I DO know that a couple that lived at that address had been feuding horribly for the past several days.  I know that the man was military but have also heard that the lady was as well???  Don't know for sure....  I'm just worried that one of them snapped and hurt the other person.  Local scuttlebutt was that someone was shot......

Just worried and concerned ....  especially with it being almost in my front yard....     We literally drove up the street right after the ambulance had arrived....     :-[
