That is what is wrong with America, there doesn't seem to be much effort in taking care of our older is just wrong and heartbreaking!
Oakie....I hope that you are able to enjoy your retirement like you deserve.

Unfortunately you cannot make everyone happy no matter who is in government.....Raising the age for social security has been on the cards for years, and I am not going to rely on social security when I get to my retirement age, GEN X'ers were told that by the time we get to 60 we are probably going to have to pay our own's just the way it goes unfortunately.
However, it really does upset me that you pay into a fund that you are not going to be entitled to when the time comes, but I have learnt top suck it up and drive on...
Am going to be putting max contributions in my 401K for the next 20 years that's for sure....!!!!
As far as disability, I think if you are too disabled to work you should be entitled to some help..... everyone whom is disabled is an individual and to some everyone up the same is wrong.
All we can do is look out for one another and do our best to prepare for the worst.
Melissa...yes I am still a socialist!

There should be a law against people opening up businesses if they failed to operate prior businesses ethically.  Back in Britain you have to apply for a license and if you had bad business practices you had to wait 7 years to open another enterprise....
I don't see this place doing very well  - so maybe we won't need to worry too much about it.  It is a shame that people work hard for an employer and have to fight to get paid their compensation....
Am pretty sure, that you cannot manage an establishment selling liquor on the clock and be intoxicated while working...I might be wrong..???????

It is just heartbreaking that so much violence is going on right now in our communities... I saw on the local news that the police stated that no one in the neighborhood needs to worry about their praying for the families and community affected by this tragedy.

I think the missouri state website has all the forms and info you need!
Good Luck!!

I think it is disgraceful what the PA is doing - there are innocent people in the county being victims of a crime and they are not being served justice! Let's hope and pray that no one else has to be a victim while she is still in office...highly unlikely since she is letting these criminals go free on a regular basis!

HAve fun! not doing thanksgiving, but after reading all the posts I am craving YAMS!

I was a victim of domestic violence and it was tough getting anyone to help or even listen to you.  I am glad this taboo crime is being talked about - and hope that these figures drop soon.

It seems that the entire holiday season is to see how much money can be spent..........not about the reason behind many of the holidays celebrated in December.......I am an Eckist and didn't really want to do the whole christmas thing......but it is hard when everyone pushes you to spend, spend, spend, decorate your home....but am refusing to decorate, but will get my children toys - on the 25th - ....but being on one hell of a budget am dreading the entire month of December!
