Local News / Re: City of Waynesville sued for alleged cover-up
« on: May 27, 2013, 03:12:20 PM »
As far as the Waynesville school I see a HUGE cover up....How many people have been arrested as a "suspect" in a crime...and found not guilty later.. But their name(s) were already dragged through the mud?? Why hasn't this "person of interest" been arrested like any other Jane or John Doe in the county...and then have to prove her innocence if that is the case???

Who was the inmate that was recaptured?

someone told him that they will put him in jail completely flipping out on him when he was only trying to help them. a week later he gets arrested for this.......the supposed victim says he was hairy "down there" when I know that he shaves down there. I saw him a couple times during the time frame of the supposed incident...and he had no hair there this girl is full of shit and I hope her and her parents rot in hell.  when I talked to him right after he got arrested he was crying and could not believe the people he loved most in the world would do this to him.

This is exactly what happened... it is so easy to make an accusation.. and so difficult to fight his way out of it.(but I dont know anything about the vivid details

Kristi knows John like I do... there is some explanation for this... not many kids would do back breaking labor to save his parents from foreclosure... starting at the age of 12...while also keeping good enough grades to participate in all sports.. graduate from high school... he would give a stranger the clothes off his back.. I hope the answers come quickly because this kid needs out.. I feel very bad for the victim... and hope she is ok.... if I had the money I would bond John out in a heartbeat.... in this day and age accusations are so easy to make.... I hope its not someone with a grudge... or worse.... like I said.. John grew up with my grandkids.. 3 of whom are female... and they are his staunchest supporters... he has always been the utmost gentleman... and he makes me proud when he calls me grandma right along with my grandkids.

Anyone that knows this kid knows he would never do this.. I hope and pray the truth comes out...for Johns sake... we all complain about kids these days not being responsible enough..etc..this guy has worked his whole youth to keep his family in a home...those of us that have the pleasure of knowing him realize something is terribly wrong with this whole thing...

John WILL BE VINDICATED... HE HAS WORKED SINCE HE WAS 12 YRS OLD TO SUPPORT HIS FMILY... He is a very good honest hardworking kid that would never EVER harm a child... the saddest part is that once an accusation like this is made it will follow him forever.... this kid deserves much better in this world... I have known him his whole life... he has been in my home many many times.. with my granddaughters... never would he even say a word out of place to them... and the bond is s high he will never be able to raise it... all for an accusation.... I just wish everyone knew him like we know him..

Well if thats true... I'm sorry I was misinformed but still very sadden by what happened. She was our neighbor for years and I have known her since she was a little girl. It just breaks my heart. But still wear your seat belts, it does save lives.
I was told it was on the st. Louis news channel I know my sister lives in Illinois and said she seen it on TV as she texted me and asked me if I knew them.
My stomach is just sick over this. I sure hope he makes a full recovery. Those kids need a parent than too loose both of them. God Bless them all.

The online article from the St. Louis Post Dispatch..said everyone in the Muxlow car was wearing seatbelts. Such a tragedy.

County Government Opinion / Re: How's the Prosecuting Attorney Doing?
« on: March 13, 2010, 06:31:30 PM »
I will never vote for Debra Hooper.. EVER.
I also will not vote for a son of a criminal defense lawyer for the prosecutors office..
If they ple a case, Is that fair?
Will Jim Thomas have more new clients then he could possibly represent because his son is our prosecutor?
This is far more serious when you add in the inexpierence factor.......
Not acceptable in my book..
So they leaves Mr. Gifford by default, unless someone else runs.

How could someone just leave her there?

Agreed.....this was hard for me because one I went to school with him and he was such a nice guy then or so he seemed, two I go to church with his Grandparents and it is hard for me to watch them suffer and finally the third reason is because I was working with Deputy Hayden at the Sheriff's Office at the time of the incident.  I am so happy and relieved that justice was served (this relates to the third part and the way I was raised), however I am so sad and my heart bleeds for his family and what they had to and are having to go through because of this.

firegirl I understand your post. I met his grandparents at Rolla County jail when they brought my son a bible. They are such nice people. It is so sad to know what the deputy and his family went through, and also sad to know what Rexs family is going through.

He deserves the money. Alot more people are in our prison systems that should not be. ANd most of the time its because of poor representation from an over loaded Public Defender system.. and ridiculous bond sets so high your only choice is to cop a plea. I know my sons bond was 5 times higher than the girl from Dixon that actually beat a man to death. Amazing..I will say it here and if Rick chooses to remove it.. Thats okay.. My son was partying with a friend that died of a drug overdose.. He is in prison for it.. This was a KNOWN drug addict that was 30 yrs old.. Made his own decision.. Had an extensive record..The other guy that was on PAROLE fled the scene, while my son choe to stay and do CPR... Which of course placed him at he scene. The addict that died,  dads happened t work for the $500,000.00 cash only bond, 472 days in the county jail.. he finally pled to a lesser charge so he could move forward. He still does not regret doing CPR and staying at the scene.. The parolee that fled the scene was around drugs..a nono.. yet he wasn't charged with anything. The one that died was his FRIEND.. He did not KILL anyone.. We even had phone records where the "victim: called my son no less than 10 times begging him to come down there.. Of course none of that was brought out in court.. the Public Defender didn't have the "time" to research anything in 472 days. ***(((*
My point is crimes are not always what they seem..
So much gossip distorts the whole story..It is what it is, and I can't change it.. But the dude in the story above deserves every penny he gets. :woohoo:
P.S. this very same week a known addict died in Dixon and when they picked up his body, they didn't even ask the guy with him what his first name was.. This straight from the victims brother. Of course nothing was done on this case.. NOTHING.

Local News / Re: Parker From CarStar Motors commits suicide.
« on: December 13, 2009, 04:05:09 PM » and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

This is a hard time of year for lots of folks.  I have heard 3 suicides or attempts on the scanner this week alone.  With the holiday season everything piles on somebody that may be struggling with various personal issues.  Everyone needs to be aware of anybody that may be depressed or having problems and 'keep in touch' with them.

A very rough time of the year. You really have this right.. Stay in touch with anyone in distress. Thank you for stating this.

So is texting while driving illegal or not?

National News / Re: Tiger tells all on his website.... Ha!!

Apparently, the only person who can beat Tiger Woods with a golf club is his wife

What's the difference between a car and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards.

Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole in one.

Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident as he pulled out of his driveway early Friday morning.  It was Woods' shortest drive since an errant tee shot at the US Open.

What was Tiger Woods doing out at 2.30 in the morning? He'd gone clubbing

Tiger Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. He couldnít decide between a wood and an iron

Perhaps Tiger should be using a driver?

This is the first time Tigerís ever failed to drive 300 yards

Apparently, Tiger admitted this crash was the closest shave heís ever had. So Gillette has dropped his contract.

Tiger Woods wasn't seriously injured in the crash. He's still below par though

A cheating celebrity is going to get caught.. The other party makes bookoo money selling thier story. But its not my busiess personally, he handled it wrong from the getgo.. The longer he stayed silent the more the media dug up on him...Now he really has to answer to his wife. ***(**&  But these jokes are funny as he** :th_thicon_super: :{:{:

If they couldn't approve gay marriage, which I assume is a minority, then they certainly won't have the votes to pass "no divorce."  My gosh that's 95% of California.  I should say Hollywood, I don't know what the rest of the state is like.

The gay marriage ban is the whole point of this guy wanting this passed.. He says..they say gay marriage is against religion, and so is divorce.. (Don't shot the messenger) teehee
