Exaust leaks can get into a car and cause this. The question then would be, why did they sit there so long with the engine running.

Dave, I'm sorry you felt attacked, but wanted to let you know that what you said was my first thoughts as well.   The CO2 thing doesn't add up because they were outside in the car, it wasn't in the garage. Deductive reasoning lead me to believe drugs were involved.  Again, I have no information, I know nothing, but from what has been released any reasonable person would deduce that drugs/alcohol or some sort of poison were involved. Two people....same time... coming from a party... odds are drugs.

Tough, hard hitting news reporting there.

Dixon Library closure leaves behind computers By Matthew Kent Waynesville Daily Guide Wed Nov 04, 2009, 06:12 PM CST

DIXON — Discussion over computers that are in the city’s shuttered library topped the Dixon City Council meeting Monday evening, where two members of the Library Board informed the council they want to move them to the Dixon Caring Center for public use.
President Susan Hohman and Vice President Ed Wise of the Jessie E. McCully Library Board spoke to the council about the disposal of the computers, which were donated by Steve Roberson.
The library was closed by the Dixon City Council in July, after citing the facility was costing too much to keep open. The library could reopen sometime next year if voters approve a library tax increase from five to 15 cents in April.
“The computers are doing no good where they’re at,” Wise told the council.
Hohman and Wise also asked the council to consider a memorandum of agreement so there is “no misunderstanding” regarding the equipment.
Six computers were donated by Roberson for the public’s use, according to Hohman and Wise, and if they were placed in the center, they’d be available to the public.
Earlier this year, Roberson questioned the council on the abrupt closure of the library.
“What kind of message are we sending to our kids?” Roberson said in August. “I think it’s a shame.”
He also asked at that time for the “magic number” on what it would cost to keep the library open on a monthly basis. Mayor Darrell French said it would cost $3,000.
Hohman said the board would be drawing up the agreement regarding the computers.
In addition, the council approved the appointment of John Gray and Marsha Marihugh to fill two vacancies on the Library Board.
“This is really exciting for us because we’ve never had nine members,” Hohman said.  http://www.waynesvilledailyguide.com/news/x896790173/Dixon-Library-closure-leaves-behind-computers

News Release
Recent Cases
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
Nov. 4, 2009

On Nov. 4, 2009, a person came to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s office to report a very expensive Siberian husky dog as missing or stolen two months ago in the Laquey area. The owner had put out signs describing the missing dog and had received a tip on a possible location. A deputy went with him to the residence to examine this dog. The owner had taken the precaution of implanting a micro chip in the dog before it disappeared. A scan of the dog by the deputy using a micro chip reader revealed the same serial number as the paperwork the owner had in his possession. The lost dog was returned to the rightful owner.

----------------------------------------------------------

The afternoon of 11-04-09 a member of the Pulaski County Road & Bridge crew called the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office to report a possible meth lab he had found on Creek Road in Pulaski County. Deputies took close note of the directions to the lab and responded directly to the scene. Upon arrival they found the remains of an older meth lab dump site. Since the reporting party had said it appeared to be a recent lab the deputies called him for more information. The reporting party told them he was at the lab site and wanted to know where they were. He gave them better directions and the deputies then joined him at meth lab site number two.

I am shocked, for a pension fund? This can't be permamnent? I don't get it.

A major victory tonight for the Police and Fire Pension Fund.

Voters in Springfield have approved a 3/4-cent sales tax.

With all precincts reporting, 55% said yes to 45% who said no.

Springfield leaders had cautious optimism as they gathered and monitored the future of the pension plan and city operation as we know it.

Cheers erupted around 8:40p.m. as final results were posted.

The mayor addressed the crowd thanking the task force fundraisers, City Council, and staff.

He says hard work has left a lot of people in shock tonight.

BUT. It is smart to buy from them when they can deliver for less, and we still have our supplies in the end. I bet we will charge an arm and a leg for it then.

Fwiw, we had a Republican president for 8 years and a Republican congress for 6.  The last two (when the economy really tanked), Congress was Democratically controlled.

Also, I am not one that believes a president or a congress is what causes economical spikes or downfalls. There are cycles that will happen regardless of who is "in charge".  Does anyone really believe that the gas "shortages" of the 70's were caused by Jimmy Carter?  On the other hand EVERYONE blamed Bush for the high gas prices 2 years ago.  Gas prices are at a 2 year high right now and I think the last person you could blame is the President.

OPEC has the industrialized world by the short hairs and until we're willing to use some of our 100+ years of untapped oil they will continue to rule the world AND the economy.

Things that make you go HMMMM / Re: The Cowboy Boots
« on: November 03, 2009, 12:41:56 AM »
Reminds me of the time the parents brought some baby air jordans back and said these shoes are causing blisters on top my kids toes, I reached in pulled the paper out and said here you go. They were so embarrased.

   The Cowboy Boots
(Anyone who has ever dressed a child will love this one!)

Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten students put on his cowboy boots?

He asked for help and she could see why..

Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little boots still didn't want to go on. By the time they got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat.

She almost cried when the little boy said, 'Teacher, they're on the wrong feet.' She looked, and sure enough, they were. It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than it was putting them on. She managed to keep her cool as together they worked to get the boots back on, this time on the right feet..

He then announced, 'These aren't my boots.'

She bit her tongue rather than get right in his face and scream, 'Why didn't you say so?' like she wanted to. Once again, she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots off his little feet. No sooner had they gotten the boots off when he said, 'They're my brother's boots. My mom made me wear 'em.'

Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry. But, she mustered up what grace and courage she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.

Helping him into his coat, she asked, 'Now, where are your mittens?'

He said, 'I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots.'

She will be eligible for parole in three years!

Finally we will get to see what's under those pesky ice caps. Woo Hooo

The statement I swiped out of ex-ed post is not true.

Another is the belief that manmade carbon dioxide emissions are heating the world to the point of imminent worldwide catastrophe, including island nations disappearing underwater, mass starvation, inundation of the world’s major coastal areas and much more. The fact that the world has been getting colder for the last eight years is as irrelevant to most people on the left as the absence of archaeological evidence

The Earth's temperature from January-March 2009 was the 8th-warmest on record, according to data released Thursday from the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, N.C. The global temperature of 55.04 degrees for the year's first three months was almost a full degree above the 20th-century average of 54.1 degrees.
This continues a decades-long trend of warmer-than-average temperatures. If the warming pattern persists throughout the remainder of the year, it will mark the 33rd consecutive year of above-average global temperatures. The Earth's temperature record dates back to 1880.
2005 was the warmest I think is what I read.
There is to much evidence; ice caps melting, the ocean temp is rising. To think that man has nothing to do with global warming is just wrong.

Dogma explains why it is useless to point out to the left how the left has economically crippled California, once the most prosperous, most adventurous, most successful “country” in the world.
They have had a republican governor since 2003. In all honestly not sure if that had much to do with it since it IS California. But just like the president the governor gets the blame.
This allows me to ignore the rest of the article.

I bet he gets active tonight, I think I will go there and see.

The jukebox will come on when the master switch is off. The air conditioners and TV come on when their master is off. The main things are the images in reflection in the windows and mumbled voices when closing or opening early. The ladies toilet will occasionally flush on its own. Stuff will get moved from the night before.

We believe the spirit is a former resident who lived in the Inn when it was closed and divided into apartments. (closed from '77-'97). He is a friendly spirit - but mischevious.
