"What happens when we're dead? The irony is that all our questions wil be answered after we die. We spend our whole life trying to figure out the truth and the only way we'll find out what it is, is to get hit by a bus. And the only comfort that religion offers is that God is driving that bus." - John Ryman, When Galaxies Collide

"One might be asked "How can you prove that a god does not exist?" One can only reply that it is scarcely necessary to disprove what has never been proved." - David A. Spitz

"Atheism is a requirement for a complete human being. Religion is a crutch that is shackled to you, one you never really needed in the first place, but were convinced by others that you couldn't live without. Once you discover it's only an illusion, that it's not even a real crutch, you discard it gladly." - Brent Yaciw

Hmmm, I don't know about throwing salad.
I think it would have been funnier to watch.  But then I have no idea what aspect of this strikes you humorously.

So you think that this planet will vanish in the next million years?

I would also agree to catastrophic meteors. I just don't believe they hit us 65 million years ago. I live on the river and watch it change daily. I don't think anything lasts millions of years.

Not taking sides I get your point and agree, but I went through arkansas this weekend and saw 3 people without helmets and about ten with. I made it a point to look. I was on a major highway not city streets, I'm sure that makes a difference..

I go to South Dakota every year (helmet-optional state) and I would say that approximately 20% - 25% of the riders there wear helmets.

Just got back from riding in Arkansas less than 2 months ago and my estimate would be about the same for that non-mandatory helmet state.

I've spent considerable time in Florida where the percentages were about the same.

Ditto for Illinois.

Definitely, in these states there are NOT a majority of riders wearing helmets like you say.

So, where in the world do you come up with this information?  You've pulled that out of your keister and you know it.  Just because you have an opinion on something doesn't make it factual!

News Release
Arrest Armed Robbery
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
July 5, 2009

On July 2, 2009, at approximately 4:05am the Pulaski County 911 Center notified the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department that an alarm had been activated at the Lions Den Adult business establishment located at 25965 Highway 17, Waynesville, Missouri. Upon arrival at the scene the responding deputies were advised by the clerk on duty that she had just been robbed at gunpoint. According to the clerk a tall male had entered the store and pointed a gun at her and announced the robbery. A female subject then entered the store and assisted the male by searching for money in the cash register and searching around the counter area looking for additional money. After a period of several minutes the subjects left with the cashbox. Approximately $800.00 was taken in the robbery.

The investigation of this incident began at once and with the assistance of the Waynesville City Police, the St. Robert City Police, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol a number of persons of interest were located and questioned. The investigation led to a number of people and crossed over into another active investigation that was being conducted by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

During a visit to a residence of a person of interest for the robbery investigation, deputies recovered a stolen Pitt Bull puppy. The puppy was one of five that had been stolen a few days before the robbery. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department had previously recovered three of the puppies. The investigation of the puppy theft is still ongoing but charges are expected to be filed at a later date.

As a result of a determined twenty-four hour investigation several members of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department and two members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol were in the area of the Missouri Route 28 overpass on July 3, 2009 looking for a suspect vehicle. Shortly before 10:00pm the vehicle was located driving west on I-44. The vehicle was followed by a Trooper while the rest of the deputies in the area moved to intercept the car.

At approximately 10:04pm as the suspect vehicle attempted to turn off Tapestry Lane into a private driveway the officers made a felony stop on the vehicle.  One passenger in the vehicle was wanted for the robbery charge. A second passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of a felony amount of marihuana. The driver of the vehicle and a third passenger were determined not to be involved and were later released.

Statements of probable cause were sent to the Pulaski County Prosecutor and the following persons have been charged;
Carl D. Pruett, age 20, of 25235 Highway W, Waynesville, Missouri. His was charged with one count of First Degree Armed Robbery. Pruett is being held in the Pulaski County Jail pending the posting of a bond. Donna L. Soucy, age 22, of 612 Historic 66 West, Waynesville, Missouri. She was charged with one count of First Degree Armed Robbery. She is held in the Pulaski County jail. Mario M. Powell, age 23, 166 Shannon Valley Drive, Waynesville, Missouri. He was charged with a class C felony for drug possession. Powell posted bond and was released.
