I am so glad I don't need any improvement..  :wee_fly:
If you have any ideas about what can make the daily guide better get on their advisory committee.  They had an article in the paper today asking for people to serve for three months on an advisory board, each three months would have a different set of people.  contact the paper if interested.

What the video told me was bring us news so we don't have to go get it.

Propaganda. The end result will be the determiner.
Here's where you go to post your comments on the redesign:
Whether anyone on the staff will read them or not, I don't know. I do know that GateHouse Media's corporate directive was that reporters were supposed to read all comments made on their own articles. I don't know if that is happening or not at the Daily Guide. But at least other people watching the video will be able to see your comments, regardless of whether the staff reads them or not.

You still need proof before making an acusation and naming names.
My sister called me and said a known doper named Brian blew up his trailer and burned himself badly. Don't know if he was cooking meth or dinner. But if it walks, and talks like a duck.........

Another Pulaski County Web reader educated today. You are welcome.. Funny.
I learned something today, though I wish I hadn't.

Here's a link for people who want to know what the "other meanings" of this word are. Don't click it if you don't want to be disgusted. But I guess I now need to avoid the use of "teabag" as a verb, just like certain other perfectly legitimate words like "pussy" or "gay" have acquired additional meanings that now make them effectively unusable for their original purposes.

It has always been my opinion that Sadat is hard of hearing, and you also have the language barrier. Anyone who can't hear good or understand usually make a facial expression that is negative in appearance. They get frustrated trying to understand..

I don't think anyone can ever understand what it is like to be in a business like that. Having to deal with the pulblic and keep smiling is almost impossible. I am so glad I don't have to play that game anymore.

Can anyone tell me why the East bound lane of St. Robert Boulevard was closed? And maybe who the jerk was who was directing traffic away from the left hand turn lane coming from Waynesville on to to the boulevard? He was a young guy in his late 20's who thought he was gods gift to trafic cop wannabes. Acted all aggressive and combative. He was also plain clothed in a civillian vehicle.

I know first hand that the judge has had some serious health issues lately, he is having trouble getting around. He may have just parked there to run in real quick. I have witnessed him parking in the main parking lot several times.

Drug-Tests for Welfare Recipients
April 9, 2009
This week, the Missouri House passed House Bill 30, which will help prevent drug-users from receiving welfare benefits.  The legislation calls for the Department of Social Services to set up a drug-testing program for work-eligible applicants and recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).  This is a cash-aid program and currently has no restrictions for those who may use illegal or controlled substances. If officially passed and signed by the Governor, Missouri would become one of eleven states that practice drug testing provisions for TANF applicants.

In order to be tested, there must be "reasonable cause" to believe an individual receiving TANF is using illegal drugs. After an administrative hearing, applicants or recipients who test positive will be declared ineligible for TANF benefits for one year from the hearing.  In addition, the bill seeks to help those suffering from substance abuse and addiction. Many times, users just need some help to get better and get back on their feet. To address this concern, the legislation requires the Department of Social Services to refer the positive testing individual to a substance abuse treatment program approved by the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse so that they will be offered help if they wish to receive it.  This is a program within the Missouri Department of Mental Health.

I think most will agree that this legislation is long over-due. Many employees in our state are required to take a mandatory drug test in order to keep their jobs, why shouldnít welfare recipients be held up to a similar standard?

I donít know of anyone that doesnít want to help those in need, Missourians are very generous to those that are less fortunate. However, hard-working, tax-paying Missourians have every right to expect that their tax dollars, which are given to those who claim to need assistance, are not being spent on illegal drugs.

I strongly believe that this legislation will help encourage people using drugs to stop and get help if they want to continue to receive welfare benefits. If they donít make the decision to stop abusing drugs and get help, then tax dollars will not continue to be spent on illegal drugs.  HB30 now moves to the Senate, and if passed, will begin to help and enable our citizens to live a clean and productive life, rather than harming themselves and possibly those around them and protect your hard earned tax dollars.

Basically any dead beat can run.
I appreciate the historical explanation, that was enlightening.
BLUF: what does it take to be a county commissioner?
What is the legal requirement to be eligible to become a county commissioner?
Does an individual need to be a judge and therefore have a law back ground?
Who has run in the recent past that is still viable and preferable?
