You smoked away the pain again, didn't you?
Now... that's an interesting concept... if we traded heads, would you still be you, or would you become me?  Does your head make you who you are, or does your body?  It would make sense that wherever your head is you are... but, if you look at it from a scientific standpoint; we are made up of mass, and your body would have the greater amount of mass, so therefore your body would be you, not your head...   hhhmmm....  I wonder...

And now for the rest of the story.
Some things are "yes" or "no" answers. That's pretty much the case with the question I got asked about whether Sonic paid to buy what is essentially a free ad on page one of the Daily Guide. I'd be shocked if that happened since it would be blatantly unethical.

Most things are more complicated.

I have a problem with "Twitter-style" shoot-from-the-hip responses on the internet, for the same reason that I have a problem with trying to solve major national problems with sound-bite clips made for television-style attention spans. We're adults, and we shouldn't have to speak to each other like we're five-year-old kids.

It's easy to throw stones at President Obama for trying to solve America's financial mess by sound-bite rhetoric that sounds good and persuaded millions of voters. Unfortunately, the most recent President Bush (not his father) did the same things, and we're going to have to pay for it for generations. We've had two presidents in a row who, when confronted with a major problem that nobody is really sure how to solve, have basically used pretty-sounding rhetoric to defend throwing hundreds of billions of dollars at a problem rather than trying to study it carefully before acting.

"Ready-fire-aim" is rarely the right solution to anything.

Correct, I just tried it on yours.

Edit your post and repost please.  I didn't delete it.

The site has some weird issue...  I know its the site now... because you cannot post a blank message or edit a post and leave it blank.  The site will not let you.  All of these errors have left blank messages with my name attached to them... so, just repost the original article please.

Yes I am out, you can now worship me..

:yahoo: QMG Rick has been "outed"! Outed from what I am not sure, because we all know about his Shrine and Mason work, but "outed" none-the-less.

I was the Worshipfull Master of Waynesville Masonic Lodge in 2002. Picture memorizing a book, and that describes that job exactly. I kid you not.

I was also the Rajah of Pulaski County Shrine Club in 2004, so I lived Masonry for many years, many nights some weeks..

Correct, the Masons are not against any religion.

The Lutheran Church does not allow their members to become Masons. Guess where I had been a confirmed member?

OK, the Boy Scouts have the same requirement to believe in God but don't get very specific beyond that. And the Mormons actually use the Boy Scouts as their primary youth organizations. So a person being a member of the Masonic Lodge or a similar organization that requires a generic belief in God means a person supports Mormonism and doesn't believe America was founded as a Christian nation (or, to use the terminology I prefer, founded on Judeo-Christian principles)?

I think your reference to Freemasons "proves" more than you intended.

Now if you were going to talk about Masonry in Europe around the time of the French Revolution, or the clandestine lodges of Mexico or Italy in the 1800s, we'd be talking an entirely different matter. That's a whole different breed of cat.

But I'll leave you to have that discussion with the Masons here. I simply don't believe that being a Mason indicates any opposition to America's Christian heritage.

Doesn't have to be God. I could be allah, elton john etc..

DTM - my point about freemason's was they were a group that believed each man should worship by their own conscious. By many of our founding fathers belonging to the freemasons, a group that did not endorse any particular religion as long as you believed in god you could be a member, it is silly to think that our founding fathers were trying to form a christian society while starting this country.

Lighter News / Good ex employee story for you..
« on: February 26, 2009, 12:56:25 AM »
I have an employee who I gave two stacks of computer disks to over 1 year ago to record some music for my store. She never did make the recordings. I asked her several times to bring back my disks, as each of these stacks had 50 or more disks in them and were top quality.. She never brought them back then quit to work elsewhere. So she calls around the 5th of January wanting her w-2. I asked again if I could get my disks, and she said yes.. She said she would give them to me when she picks up her w-2. She kept contacting me several times until I called her around the first of January telling her they were in. She asked where they were I said my house. A week or more later she texted me asking when she could get her w-2, I replied any time. Another two weeks goes by and she asked if I could bring it to her work, I said yes. That day came and my truck wasn't available, so I was unable to bring it, I explained this to her and she went postal. Yesterday I geta message from her mom that her daughter want's her w-2 and she doesn't want to take legal action. I immediately called her back to tell her the w-2 has been here since Feb 1 and she knows that. Then her mom stated asking about the disks, she told me that she had bought me one pack to replace the one missing, I said she has two packs, her mother then went on to say that some didn't work, I replied, then just give them all back. Today I get a message from a guy claiming to be JAG telling me how the law works, shes a civilian by the way.. Oh and now I am getting hang up calls. LOL
I kinda knew all along that she had no intentions of ever getting my disks back to me. This is why the girl in a hurry in January wasn't in a hurry in Febuary.. Wanted me to meet her in a neutral location to discolse she stole my disks..
I swear, people are so stupid.... Crazy how they try to paint you in a bad light after they steal from you.. But hey I am used to that..

Thought about terms of endearment too.

lol, I thought it had to do with military engagement of the enemy, and didn't bother to read it at first... then thought, what the heck, something new to read!

It leans more towards frustrating. Not much bothers me or I wouldn't be able to do this..

The easy part is posting it.  The hard part is getting people to respect the rules and abide by them.

If it were only that easy. I have lost a lot of what could be good members over these very common sense things.

Its a shame that you had to post it at all, it is just common sense and common courtesy

"A friendly reminder from your local neighborhood web wizard. While free discussion is welcomed and encouraged, certain types of discussion tear down rather than build up, or create more problems than they're worth. Here are some examples of acceptable and unacceptable posts.
1. No one is allowed to accuse anyone else of criminal activity without reference to a police report, court case, or published news media report. This is potentially libel, can get you sued, and will generally get your post removed.
2. Hard-hitting discussions of the actions of elected officials, appointed government leaders paid with tax dollars, or businesses that advertise their services to the public are in-bounds. Personal attacks on people who aren't in the public eye are not. Holding our political and business leaders accountable for their public actions is what democracy and capitalism are all about, but people have a right to live their private lives in private. Remember the difference and most problems won't happen.
3. Giving opinions or reviews about a business is okay for a customer, but one restaurant owner or store owner shouldn't criticize another competitor's product without citing publicly verifiable facts rather than personal opinions. Businesspeople who create fictious accounts to criticize someone else's business under an assumed name will have their accounts deleted and may be publicly announced.
4. Off-color jokes, R-rated discussions, and any suggestive photographs belong in the "Over 18" thread where people who don't want to read them can avoid seeing them. X-rated comments or photographs are prohibited.
5. Announcements from government, schools, and non-profit organizations are welcome and encouraged. For-profit organizations get one free business announcement. For-profit businesses that are paying advertisers supporting the Pulaski County Web are entitled to additional publicity beyond the free business announcement. Posts promoting websites that compete with the Pulaski County Web are not acceptable and will be deleted."

I would agree with you. I too write stuff in here just to mess with people.. A lot It isn't me at all, I just love jerking peoples chains..  I really enjoy perpetrating ficticious stories, then watching them grow, usually about myself.. I have no desire to hurt the good guys out there though.....
Because this isn't real life, genius.

This is fake.

100% fake.

I've been writing crap to piss people off on this board for YEARS.

Probably damn near its inception.

I've also been writing things that make people think, change their views, or challenge their accepted views.

But don't think for one tiny little nanosecond that this is real to me.

You can at times during they day expect upwards of 30 minute waits. I went there a few days ago and the line didn't move for 9 minutes so I left. There were 12 cars ahead of me atleast.
Last two times in 30 days I've been to TB here in St. Bob the service has been TERRIBLE!  Once in drive thru, once inside store - both times took between 20-30 minutes.
