Glad that never happens here.

What is internet stalking??
Is it when someone follows a person all over a website to dispute anything they say no matter what the subject?

I learned long ago that the guy doing all the work is the only one taking the heat for it. I am ok with that because I hold the higher ground over him.

Rick your the man. I remember a commissioner saying we had no internet advertisement. I hope he will enjoy the FREE stuff. It won't be good enough because it did not cost the county money.

I have added links to the Sweedborg, Laquey, and Big Piney pages today, these pages need work and many navigation bars within PCW need replaced, but I launched them sonner rather than later to get exposure for those communities faster. They also have news feeds for their communities. Devils Elbow, when it gets news will have its own feed too. These page links are in your navigation bar at the top of this page..

Trying to improve Pulaski Counties exposure to the world.. Enjoy.. Rick..

Restaurant Opinion / Re: Pizza Hut
« on: February 01, 2009, 02:50:02 AM »
At 7:45 this evening Pizza Hut was called and we placed an order for one large pizza, two orders of bread sticks, and 20 hot wings, cost around 40 dollars.

Sherri went to get it and she called me at 8:35 on her way to Arbys. She says after waiting 35 minutes the manager came to the window and said we are too busy and can't handle the business, so we can have your food ready in ten minutes, give you 20 percent off, or we can credit you 40 dollars and you can come back another time.

Shes been gone over an hour now and she's yet to return.

Just called the UPS driver and he said he felt bad for me. They were going to meet the person for delivery at Sellers Sexton (Recipient had no relation to Sellers Sexton) and he was supposed to meet them in a white suv, so I pull up in my white avalanche and they thought I had come looking for the UPS driver and that package. The UPS driver said I was about to have my truck searched before he stoped them.. These guys had packed the stuff in a Remote Control Truck box and sealed it with spray foam. He said there was another package that was supposed to be delivered another place in this county that day also.. This all went down behind Kentucky Fried Chicken. I had called the driver and he didn't answer, so I was heading to town and saw his truck behind Kentucky Fried.. Really bad timing on my part, I am surprised they didn't tackle me..

I think everyone agrees it is not scientific, but is a reflection of something considering its audience..

We are in the process of sending out sales reps and this is interesting information, we feel as websites owners that many advertiers don't understand the internet as a source of advertising and information like this is helpfull. Our plan to sell ads is by informing customers not misinforming customers as I expierienced when companies tried to sell me ads. I'd like to have everyones numbers when I present my pitch.. Many times in business I asked radio stations what their market share was, and believe me I got lied to over and over.. Same with news papers..

..

one stat is missing that may or may not make a differance and that is the total number of people who voted in the poll. 200 or 300 people i dont think would be enough to justify re thinking a bussiness plan but if that number were 2 0r 3 thousand then i would find that a bit more impressive

Would have been nice to see him split the daily guide paper and the online version also, along with all others who have both.

Had to put them in order, I was getting confused.

Waynesville Daily Guide        74.8%
KFBD/KJPW Radio            48.6%
Rep. Day’s Website            35.7%
Pulaski County Web            31.9%
KFLW Radio                31.9%
The Guidon                29.0%
Pulaski Co. Daily News (online)        25.2%
Pulaski Co. Democrat            22.4%
Dixon Pilot                16.7%
Richland Mirror                14.3%
Pulaski Co. Insider              9.5%

I also find ithard to believe that more people get their news from the Daily Guide than get from KJPW.. We also must rememberr that this was limited to people who use the internet regularly..

I did pretty good, but dave, it says more people get their local news from your site over mine? Margin of error? I should do a survey and see how great I do.. LOL

Looks like Darrell after 3 months has made huge inroads into the market.. This will be valuable information to hand over to our sales rep. when she starts her job soon.. Thanks Dave..

Media Friends,

As you may remember I had an online legislative survey for my office going, it ended last night, Jan. 30th.  One of the questions was concerning what media people taking the survey rely on for their news and information.  I am not making this information a part of the press release but did want to share it with you.  What you do with this information is up to you.

The question was:  What media outlets and websites in Pulaski County do you use to receive your news and information?  (check all that apply)

Waynesville Daily Guide        74.8%
Dixon Pilot                16.7%
Richland Mirror                14.3%
Pulaski Co. Democrat            22.4%
The Guidon                29.0%
Pulaski Co. Daily News (online)        25.2%
KFLW Radio                31.9%
KFBD/KJPW Radio            48.6%
Rep. Day’s Website            35.7%
Pulaski Co. Web            31.9%
Pulaski Co. Insider              9.5%

I also thought you might find it interesting that when asked:  In general, do you most often read LOCAL newspapers in the traditional way of print or on the internet?

Mostly traditional print newspaper    33.8%
Mostly online newspaper site        30.8%
About 50/50 of each            30.3%
I don’t read the newspaper          5.1%

This is of course, far from scientific but I thought you might want to see those results.  I sincerely appreciate each of you that helped make the survey known by the public.  We will be releasing the total report most likely on Monday.

Best wishes,

Dave

I think I may have acidentally ran into your Laneg officers while droping off some packages with a UPS truck. There were dogs on the truck and one plain clothed guy walks up to me asks who I am and asks if I am expecting a package. Then the UPS guy says,"Wrong guy.." When I was done with the packages one of the guys sped of at around 100 miles an hr.. I was going to ask my UPS guy what that was all about next time I saw him.

I'd suggest you sneak those steroids to the most femenin guys you know..

""""""""As a result of this search an additional approximate three pounds of processed marijuana was seized, along with five firearms and numerous anabolic steroids."""""""""

And what do we do with the steroids?

I must be conservative then, I thought it was being nice to the politician thieves who are running our country. It could have went much further.

You all don't realise that this bail out stuff is going to destroy this county eventually. Fifty percent of all taxes collected went toward the debt we already had. That number is going up now, banks won't even loan to people with that kind of debt to income ratio, why I ask you? Because they are doomed to fail.. What they are doing is going to harm you even further, because everyone can continue doing business as usual and nothing will change. This country should let those who are weak fail so the strong can be stronger. When this county colapses, then you will see it. If banks would have failed that were weak, the other stong banks would have become stronger.

Personally I am shocked at the blatant disregard for our futures. Our government is out of control. What's funny is no one seems to mind now, because everyone expects a check in the mail.. All you will ever really get is the bill, in one form or another.

Who said you were in violation of anything?

I am very confused here.... I honestly don't understand.  You say name calling is not allowed, understandable.  You say personal attacks aren't allowed, understandable.  I ask what name calling, as I didn't see name calling.  I  did ask a sincere question.  If, I am in violation of your rules, tell me.  If I am not aware of how I am in violation, and desire to correct it,  how can I, if I do not know?  Yes, that is assuming that you feel I am in violation, which even to that point, that you feel that it is I, who has committed a violation, I'm not sure!

Now you can add presumptuous: overstepping due bounds (as of propriety or courtesy) : taking liberties

Who said I was talking about pollyannas or anything else you said?

What name calling?  Pollyanna is not name calling, there are many of us that are just that, pollyannas....very optimistic people.  Someone who lacks perception, is thickheaded, they are imperceptive.  Someone who is attempts to incite others is hateful.

I am more than willing to leave this forum, if it's permissible to insult an entire people, yet to describe someone's lack of perception is not permissible.  I have admitted to being thickheaded myself in some areas.....  Just let me know, I'll leave.

Huffing it? I remember kids huffing Pam spray when I was a teen.

I hyperventilated a few times as a kid, for those of you who don't know that that is you squat down them breath in really fast about 30 times then stand up and you pass out. I saw one kid fall on his head hard doing that once.

Rick, something we have been worried about is this computer cleaning stuff. I guess these young people think it isn't a drug so isn't dangerous. But, the high they are getting is a hypoxic high. Extremely dangerous. We have got several calls lately. Very scary!

I agree that alchohol is way worse than pot, but meth is debateable in comparison to alchohol. Depends on the subject matter. Alchohol is more violent for sure.. Depressants make people mean or moody. Speeds usually just wierds them out..
The big difference a paramedic sees is drunks, where as meth is easier to hide it's effects, they have probably seen a lot more people on it then they realize..

Law 101, I agree.

Margarita, you are very astute. You could be one of my students. Nothing supersedes alcohol in causing death. Our society has strong focus on Meth and things that cause not even near the problem of alcohol. Yes, I will cover that for you.
