Several Lawsuits?
Please send me those so we can post them..

Okay, I read all the negative commnets, the facts are the facts. First of all I live in Springfield, Mo and my daughter lives in St. Louis. I DID NOT tell my daughter to drive the car with expired plates and because their happened to be family present through all of this does not mean that we were ganging up on the police department. I had nothing against the waynesville police department until this incident which has escalated into a several lawsuits. ( I am not mentioning names) I posted here because I needed to vent, I am a mother and grandmother and I never try to deceive the law. Some of you might have issues with Angie or Brittany and that is your problem. Yes we are family but that has nothing to do with why the police in your town harrassed, cursed, shoved and threatened us. I am sorry if this offends you, after all my daughter and I don't live there but we have family here and we didn't ask for these problems. And yes there is alot to this story I am not going to post due to the lawsuits but I will tell you this, just because one of the Trotters or Barbas are involved does not mean that they instigated anything! I was calm and cool when this happened for the person making the snide comment.

I moved this because it isn't administrator news.. I put it in breaking news..
Seems to me that this is missing a lot of information, it makes no sense to me.
Formal Complaint Regarding Incident on 12 October 2008
On the eve of Sunday, 12 October 2008, I was in Waynesville meeting my daughter, Shereeca Trotter, at her grandmother’s house, to deliver paperwork for a car I had purchased for her. She has temporary license plates on the car and they had already expired. Being that Monday was a holiday, she would have to wait until Tuesday to obtain registration on the car. I visited for awhile and then proceeded to go back to Springfield. Meanwhile, I get a call from my daughter stating that the Waynesville police was following her so I turned around and went back to Waynesville. She got nervous and parked the car at a nearby apartment building. She then called her cousin, Sue Ann Barba, to come pick her up. She said the whole time the police parked up the street and just watched her leave with her cousin. The police then followed her and her cousin to her cousins’ house. Meanwhile I found where her car was parked and was harassed by two women who supposedly live there wanting their parking space back. The policeman told her that she needed to go back and move her car because the women that lived there said it was private property and she couldn’t park there. So, my daughter came back to move her car, I was there waiting for her. The policeman followed her back and then another police car showed up, this time a policewoman. Now the policewoman and the two women that lived there were yelling and cursing about his car being parked there.  They (the two police officers) asked to see drivers license from my daughter and me. That checked out, there was proof of insurance that checked out, I had the title to the car, which is in my name. Then, when Shereeca told the policewoman she would move the car, the policewoman, named Sharon, told her if she moved that car she would give her another ticket. (They already issued one ticket) I asked the policewoman what was she supposed to do, she told her to move it then she said she wouldn’t let her move it. Deciding on what to do, I called my niece Angela, who owns a car lot in Crocker, and asked her if she would want to buy the car and put it on her lot to sell so I can get out of this financial issue with my daughter and leave to go back to Springfield. She said she would. She shows up and her and my daughter takes the car back to Shereeca’s grandmother’s house and parks it. Then Angela put some dealer plates on the car so she could take it back with her to Crocker and put it on her lot to sell. After a few minutes of being inside the house, the policewoman shows up and proceeded to hassle Angela about putting the dealer plates on the car. After this I am not sure what happened except what was told to me. I know my car was impounded to some business called Poor Boys. I also know that my other niece Brittany who is a police officer showed up at my daughter’s grandmother’s house.  I know that this was wrong to have this car impounded over some temp plates being expired.  I arrived back into Waynesville Monday to try and get the car out of impound. I was told that the policewoman Sharon had possession of my title. I proceeded to the police department and found out that it was closed due to the holiday. Meanwhile, I saw the policewoman Sharon walking across the street toward the police station and I asked her for the title to my car, she then gave it to me. After contacting Angela about taking the car, she said she didn’t want it now since all of this has caused so much problems, so I was stuck dealing with this by myself, the car is now back to me.  I proceeded to Poor Boys to get the car out, paid $150.00 and took the car back to St. Louis where it is now titled and registered as of Tuesday, 14 October 2008. Also, after examining the car, there is damage to the trunk, it looks like someone was trying to break into it, this happened form the time it was impounded until I got it out Monday, 13 October 2008.

I am requesting their be an investigation into this matter. I want to be compensated for the $150.00 to get the car out of impound, the damage to the car, and a copy of the city ordinance where the car was parked at her grandmothers. I was told from an attorney here that where the car was parked was not illegal to be there; therefore it should not have been towed away. This ordeal was taken way out of control. I feel the police in both the city and county acted in an unprofessional way, they harassed me, my daughter and my nieces. I was told, and there are witnesses, that Sharon, the policewoman threatened to break the window of the car if she didn’t get the keys and title. What kind of police department are you running? There’s a lot more to this case that I am sure you will here about soon if you haven’t already.
Not to mention they arrested my niece, who is deputy police officer! Charged her with nothing and the woman police officer who arrested her shoved her! This is crazy! What kind of town is this that has keystone cops running it?

Unless I hear that this case was handled by all involved and I receive compensation for my loss, I will hire the attorney who has been advising me on this case.

News Release
Arrest of Fugitive
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
Oct. 15, 2008

At approximately 7:35pm on Oct. 15, 2008, members of the United States Marshals Service, the Waynesville City Police Department and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department served a federal search warrant at a residence located at 400 Main Street in Waynesville, Missouri. The object of the search was a fugitive from the state of Alabama who was wanted for attempted murder in Russell County, Alabama.

The suspect was Andrew “Toot” Miles, age 30, who has a long history of assault and firearms violations. The United States Marshals Service had information that linked Miles to an address at 400 Main St. in Waynesville, Missouri, and they requested assistance with the case from the Waynesville City Police and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

Starting at 2:00pm on Oct. 15, 2008, the Marshals maintained a surveillance on the residence until it could be established that Miles was in the residence. The Marshals applied for and received a federal search warrant to search for Miles at the residence. At approximately 7:35pm the Marshals, with immediate backup from the Pulaski County Emergency Response Team (PCERT) entered the residence.

Upon entry the suspect immediately ran upstairs. The search team had to remove five minor children from the residence. They then entered the upstairs part of the residence and arrested Miles. There were no injuries during this operation.

Miles will be held at the Pulaski County Jail pending the posting of a $100,000.00 bond or he will be extradited back to Alabama at a later date.

Hindsight is 20-20, foresight is JB King.
The Comissioners knew damn well that JB could not house his prisoners for the amount of money they gave him, the Commissioners knew the budget was busted January 1 in that case, and they did nothing.. They gave his money to other departments in an effort to make him look bad.. I didn't work, we voters aren't all stupid..

Just say it JB.. Say "I told you so!" LOL

I'd be shaking in my boots facing a several hundred thousand dollar deficit at the local level.

And that's a big improvement over JT.

The Sheriff will advise the public after the investigation is sufficiently completed.
