Actually traffic has been pretty steady since day one.. Several times I actually made efforts to slow it down some. Remember the old board had 8000 members... 911 thread, we should resurect that.. LOL .. Verbotten eh? Darrell writes in here now..

You have been for a long time dude, just not formally.

I've even heard it whispered on the grapevine that it vas verboten for any DG employees to post here for years because the board was their "competition."

I think the 911 issue way back when was the catalyst.

Mwahahahahahaa

I said that?  Might have..  It's just a thought, not like I am fixing to go full steam ahead competing with them, besides I am not ready to work 100 hours a week like Darell Todd Maurina does, and a reporter I am not! But it is a good idea, should I? Would you all like all the news, all free, I could hire some independent reporters.. I could write some my self too.. This ain't rocket science.. LOL

Bah, didn't you say you weren't competing with the DG?

That's a good idea, I could do my own news site and beat all the local media to all the stories.. I will have to give that some more thought.. I bet if I covered all the news it would pretty much make the Daily Guide obsolete to insigificant.. Would you keep paying for news if I had it for free?

That was an AWESOME news article.  Look out Darrell.

Pulaski County Sheriff JB King, Missouri State Highway Patrol Sargent Darryl Suhr, and LANEG Director Shaun  Satterfield held a press conference at The Visitors Bureau in St. Robert today to inform the media of the arrests, and charges filed in connection with a sting operation conducted in Pulaski County. The arrests made in connection with this year long under cover sting also include arrests made from routine investigations. The arrests were a joint effort of the Sheriff's Department, LANEG, the State Highway patrol, along with other area agencies..  There were 20 warrants with a total of 31 charges files. Each charge has a $15,000.00 cash bond set, for a total of around  $460,000.00.

The arrests were the result of direct buys and overt techniques. The lowest charge was a Class C Felony, and the highest was a Class B Felony. The types of drugs involved were Marijuana, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Heroin. Charges stemmed for possession to sales. At press time there were 10 in custody plus 4 that were already in custody on other charges, with six still missing.

The Sheriffs department wants to remind everyone that this is a result of the area law enforcements agencies taking the local drug problem very seriously. All of today's arrests were described as routine.. Further information will be available as it becomes available.

Local News / Almost 20 more arrested in local drug roundup..
« on: October 08, 2008, 05:01:58 PM »
Attention all media. We have a breaking news story in Pulaski County today.  We are serving another set of drug warrants. There are less than 20 warrants so the size of the story is much smaller. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department will hold a live news conference at 2:00pm on Oct. 8, 2008. The conference will be held at the Pulaski County Visitors Center , which is located on St. Robert Blvd. , on the north side of I-44. The Visitor Center is located halfway between Cracker Barrel and Wal-Mart.  It is next door to Ruby Tuesday. All of these buildings are plainly visible from I-44. The Visitor Center has a large sign on the front parking lot and lots of space in the parking lot at the rear of the building. You are requested to use the rear lot. The news conference will be held in the meeting room on the second floor.

Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King

Tell us how you really feel..

Those freakin lights are driving me crazy. It took forever for Louis and Daddies to stop using them. Please, for the love of God, get rid of the lights. Everybody already knows where you guys are located. Everytime I go outside at night, I feel like scratching my eyes out. That is probably why that guy shot into the sky. He was trying to shoot at the lights. He was just a little inebriated so he shot at the sky, and not at the source. Please, for all that is holy, stop with the lights. They are driving me nuts.

P.S. Did I mention I don't like the lights?

This is cut from a news article in 2000. And you can thank Reagan and the invention called the INTERNET for that surplus..

In a written statement, Clinton said the $216 billion payment represented the largest debt paydown in American history, and he said that the federal government's long-term debt is now $2.4 trillion lower than projected to be when he first took office.

However, the U.S. government still has a long way to go before it pays down the entire national debt, which now stands at $5.7 trillion.

He did not wipe out the debt, he barley put a dent in it..

When Bill left office we had money because the military was cut to the core, W has spent money like crazy to rebuild the military and because of a thing called 9-11.

W has made a ton of mistakes and I am not defending him, but in making comments about the economy we all need to remember that between 9-11 and a ton of hurricanes, toronados (sp?), floods, this President has faced desasters that few Presidnents have in recent history.  Just about five years ago the midwest had more toronados in a 30 day period than anytime in history.  That was just one of many.

So not all of the spending has been on things that wasn't needed, many families over the last 7 years have been grateful for the federal government's help.

What you don't get is that none of these people have to do anything you would like them to do. If the newspaper doesn't think the story has much merit, then I think that's their call, not yours. I also think the general has done something about it, there again he doesn't have to tell you if he doesn't feel like it.

From our past expierience about half the complaints about businesses come from their competitor.. And in the case of this thread we know for a fact that many comments did..

the beginning of the thread said it was in the parking lot of 151.

Should the General do something about one of his soldiers being dangerous to the public...... YES HE SHOULD

Should the paper write an article about it....... YES THE SHOULD...... Do they need to mention the Club ....... NOT IF IT DIDNT HAPPEN ON THE PROPERTY

Do I have anything to do any other clubs in the area..... NO,  Matter of fact,  I do not go to clubs as I don't drink.    But of course if anyone says anything about a club then they must work or support another club.

It happened off the clubs property, should the club owner set up his own police department to secure the city now? There's no story here except a soldier fired a gun while driving near the area 151 club.. Talk to the general if you wants some results.. He won't even talk to you about it..

Would you be happy if the local paper wrote an article called, "FORT SOLDIERS TERRORISING LOCAL CLUBS." The only reason you want it to be a big deal is because you have an interest in another club who has lost business to Area 151.

Don't know why it seems everyone is acting like nothing happened!   A person who had been drinking fired a weapon in the city limits.    This could have been really ugly if someone got hurt.   Because nobody was hurt,  they ( police, club owners and web admin) want to act like nothing happened.   If  I were the club owner I would make sure something was done,  to show they would not talerate this from anyone.   Same when it comes to the police.    When it comes to web admin,  well it is there web site so they can do what they want.

Dow is falling, it was up 300 today, the dollar has now started to drop, Treasury bonds are going lower now..

750,000 jobs lost this year 170,000 jobs lost last month.. Good Times, Good Times..

Nancy Pelosi says, "Our eye is to the future to shine the bright light to accountability. We are about the future." She's the majority leader in the house who brought this on us all.. Of course she doesn't want us to talk about the past failures of the Democrat controlled Congress.

This is over the top.. What was walmart giving to veterans that day?

I hope Big Dave conciders making some upgrades to his Waynesville store. It seems like everyone in town is trying to "clean" up the image around here. With new construction nearby, I would hate for his store to stay, well "White Clutter" ( it is a slight step above trashy.) I love the Strafford McDs. Even with a bus load of football players, its decor calls for calmness.

I wont even go into how WRONG customer service is there. Too many stories to tell. However, maybe the owner can ponder over one aspect that just bugs the hell out of me....

For Veteran's Day, usually on the marquee is "Free Coffee For Veterans"...really is that the BEST you can do? Cant spare a few Value meals? I just think its...degrading. And I know we have a high population of Veterans in our community and traveling to our community for this Holiday...but..come on....dont be so stingy

Dave did call back and we had a nice talk, he's sending a gift card to make up for the error in my order. He, like me, gets very frustrated when orders are incorrect, and like me he knows it is going to happen, he tries his best, but it will on ocassion happen.. He knows that because it happens to him at other restauraunts..

Thanks Dave..

Personally I left my message at your restaurant about my order, am I now supposed to call you for results? I never got a call back.. My recollection of the previous posts was that they weren't returning calls.. Not that we weren't making the calls. I left a message here, you read it, and my phone still didn't ring to resolve my order. You said your managers were coming here, if they did they too saw my number, and I have yet to receive a call..  I am not that concerned about my three orders of pancakes enough to keep trying to reach someone.. I was merely reporting what happened.

Maybe I'm not doing this right, but I've received only one call on my cell Re the St. Robert and Waynesville McDonalds in the last week and that was last night.  Also, I don't see any new posts on the site which makes me wonder if I'm using it correctly.

Please respond.

Thanks.  Again, the number is 578-2700.

Food for thought.. If Bill Farnham wins, is that a vote, or a plus, for a law enforcement tax?

Debates on, gbye..

Isn't this exactly what J.B. has been warning could, and would, happen ever since he was elected to office?  Why has every suggestion that has been made to resolve the issues that face the PCSD, been dismissed by all the Commissioners except Bill Farnham?
