Have your husband check the rules next time before he plays, any golfer who plays at the level you say your husband or his teamates play at knows that most tournaments are flighted. Championship Flight, A Flight, B Flight, and so on depending on how many people play. This gives amatures a chance to win money too. These rules are usually well known, and clearly stated before any tournament.

Being the fifth top score probably put him in last place in the championship flight. A couple strokes lower and he may have won A Flight. This process was designed for the different players handicaps. If they didn't do it the amature golfer would not only never win money, but he would probably never want to play in theses tournaments.

Dixon held a night time golf tournament this evening, my husband and his friend played in this and came in the top 5 out of the 23 teams. They were giving away prize money starting @ $400 for first and so on down the line...well my husband and his friend were not given their prize money, they were giving prize money to the locals who did worse than my husband. This is bullsh*t, they took $50 dollars from each person just to give it to the locals who played like sh*t. They just lost our business, as my husband was playing there @ least 3 times a week. This is not good business practice and their tournament is nothing but a joke!

I read this on an local message board..

River Rat Writes.

"Okay, let's look for the positives, here .... a politician decides to run for President, adds a mistress to the mix, possibly fathering a "love child", and begins to deal with his wife learning to live (or not) with a very serious, life-threatening cancer; now THERE'S a guy who knows how to multi-task, on a grand scale! (Geez, Adrienne may be permanently disillusioned after this one!) LOL"

Bill Farnham, who is running for re-election for eastern District Commisioner against Earl Arnold Responds.

"Does that sound like a local county candidate to you?"

Guess he thought no one would read it..

River Rat responds.

"Well, now that you mention it ....."

Primaries are designed to pick on candidate the entire party can get behind.. If all 4 from both parties were running it wouldn't be a primary..

No need to get defensive, I like JB just fine. I will vote for him in Nov. All I am saing is that all of them should be one the same ticket. I know that is not how it is done but that is how I would like it. Plus, every person in the world has demons in their closet and we could say something bad about every canidate. I think that the only people who really knows what goes on internally are those who have to work with the people who are elected no matter what the position is. People only see what they want to see no matter what facts you put out. Obviously everyone knows how shaddy JT is and what he has done but they still voted for him, so it just goes to show it is a popularity contest and not on just facts. I personally would have like to see JB and Bill go against each other. At least neither one of them are a discrace in uniform.

Thats because less people voted in the Republican primary.. That is all.. Let's see JB got 59 percent of the vote on the republican side and Anderson got 49 percent on the Democratic side.. Won't matter where JB runs, he will win anyhow..

Latest in Drug Running Boats
No Sir Officer, Just Fishing... 2000 Hp on a inflatable boat. Here's the latest drug runner toy from Europe... This thing was SCREAMING across the English channel 3 times per week and was just a blur on the radar of the British Coast Guard. They were so astonished by the speed of the unknown craft, they brought in a special high speed helicopter to chase it. Drugs were found on board. Of course, you'd have to be on drugs to put the throttle down on this rig!

You May want to check my statement. I said from my recolection, not from facts.. While were at it, can you post those numbers?

Might want to check your facts.   I wondered the other day when you said something about how bad JT lost.   It was more llike 200 votes not 1000

I like to think of myself as a Republican, but I could easily be swayed of late..  OK, how about this, I think that a lot of people voted for JT to take the wind out of the sails of Anderson, and those same people will vote for JB in the General Election.. JT could have won simply based on his names similarity to JB's, and the fact that Andersons name wasn't as well known as a candidate for office.

What I was saying about the results in the past of people voting Democrat in the primary, is, in my opinion, a well known fact.. Look at the numbers in the last election primary and compare them to the outcome..

Rick, I couldn't disagree with you more.  First, what history do you have that tells you that a lot of Republicans vote Democratic in the primary?  Why would anyone do that?  Second, JB won 4 years ago because people were tired of JT's BS.  Now that we have 4 years of JB to use as reference, I think things are much more open.  There are an awful lot of people who would disagree with your last statement.  I am a died in the wool Republican, and I have regretted every single Democratic vote I ever cast, case in point, Bill Ransdall.

A lot of republicans vote Democrat in the Primary, go back and look at the history, it is always that way, makes no difference come Fall. JB Won by 1000 votes against JT from my recolection.. Smart people don't vote the party line.

Before everyone congratulates JB, do some math.  2200 Democrats voted, only 1830 Republicans.  If most vote again along party lines, JB may be in trouble.
