$9.95 per day, this just covers the Wifi, trash, water useage.

How much does it cost if we provide our own riding mowers?

Pretty sure that this is an original idea, a first.

Rick You are a Jewel among Men, This Idea could attract a new bred of tourist and put more cash flow in the county.

FAQ

How many trails do you have? The entire 100 acres is mowable and you are allowed to ride on any area that has not been mowed. (Riding Limited to 12 hours per day.)

What does it cost? Just $29.95 per person per day plus fuel, includes free camping, hose showers and Wifi. Camping spots with electric are 10 extra per person per day.

Isn't this just a trick to get your yard mowed?  LOL, no not at all, people don't realise the quality time a person has by spending hours alone on a mower overlooking Booker Lake in Devils Elbow. As an added bonus you will recieve a rich deep dark tan all compliments of the staff of Leopard  Mountain and the Sun ofcourse.

What if we get bored Mowing? Glad you asked, we also offer free weedeating classes, even the novice can become a pro weed eater after a few days on Leopard Mountain.

Coming Fall 2011, Rock picking, deck restoration and painting classes.

Rule One:
If you pull into my driveway and honk you’d better be delivering a package, because you’re sure not picking anything up. Rule Two:
You do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of my daughter’s body, I will remove them.
Rule Three:
I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don’t take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes too big, and I will not object. However, In order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact, come off during the course of your date with my daughter, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place to your waist.
Rule Four:
I’m sure you’ve been told that in today’s world, sex without utilizing a “barrier method” of some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate: when it comes to sex, I am the barrier, and I will kill you.
Rule Five:
In order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this. The only information I require from you is an indication of when you expect to have my daughter safely back at my house, and the only word I need from you on this subject is “early”
Rule Six:
I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. Otherwise, once you have gone out with my little girl, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her cry, I will make you cry.
Rule Seven:
As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. My daughter is putting on her makeup, a process that can take longer than painting the golden gate bridge. Instead of just standing there, why don’t you do something useful, like changing the oil in my car?
Rule Eight:
The following places are not appropriate for a date with my daughter:
- Places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer than a wooden stool.
- Places where there are no parents, policemen, or nuns within eyesight.
- Places where there is darkness.
- Places where there is dancing, holding hands, or happiness.
- Places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to induce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts, or anything other than overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka zipped up to her throat.
- Movies with a strong romantic or sexual theme are to be avoided; movies which feature chainsaws are okay.
- Hockey games are okay.
- Old folks homes are better.
Rule Nine:
Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a potbellied, balding, middle-aged, dimwitted has-been. But on issues relating to my daughter, I am the all-knowing, merciless god of your universe. If I ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God. I have a shotgun, a shovel, and five acres behind the house. Do not trifle with me.
Rule Ten:
Be afraid. Be very afraid. It takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car in the driveway for a chopper coming in over a rice paddy outside of Hanoi. When my Agent Orange starts acting up, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean the guns as I wait for you to bring my daughter home. As soon as you pull into the driveway you should exit your car with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter home safely and early, then return to your car-there is no need for you to come inside. The camouflaged face at the window  is mine.

Went there, kids enjoyed it. Staff was professional and seemed well trained. (Didn't see any nut case employee types.) Did think more tables were needed, but I see the chairs are on their way. My 6 year old was unable to go down the big slides and this created a glut of kids going down the kids slides while the two big slides sat pretty much empty, this was on Saturday and it was a slow day due to the weather. The Nacho Cheese flavor they used on the pretzels wasn't to my liking, but hey, I wasn't expecting Spago cuisine. Inside pool doesn't have lifeguards, wondered why not considering all the staff thay have. Found the location of the kitchen odd as I had in the drawings, it's a small window in a hallway. Gate price is cheap.

LOL

It's a hipster, trendy, mochachino type tattoo joint. If you like StarBucks, beanie hats, man bags, and read Jack Kerouac this is the tattoo place for you. If you dig a cool environment where the tattoo artist treats you like an equal, and not like some poser D bag cause you don't deserve his work and aren't hip, then I say go to Becky at One Eyed Blue Monkey...she's a great artist and person.

Sneak Peek Sheriff's View / Re: Waynesville's Crossing Guard

If there are cars in the line of busses, how can he let the busses out and make the cars wait? Impossible, car traffic has to come out too..

Thank you DM! I want to know how this is LEGAL, and under what statute! I don't care if there's a crossing guard to help kids get across the road, or if he's blocking a lane of traffic for the busses, but what's really wrong is that he's blocking traffic in order to let parents in their personal vehicles in & out.  HE is not a schoolbus, so I'm not sure why there would be a fine equal to that of disobeying a schoolbus stop-arm issued (and again, under what statute?).  People are almost wrecking when he throws up that sign & walks in front of them, because this is the only area most people have ever SEEN a "crossing guard" escorting busses in an un-marked area.  There are no signs warning motorists of an upcoming "crossing guard."  Heck there aren't even any "school zone" signs there.  If the school is doing work that forces their flow of traffic to go another route, there should be some notification to the drivers in the area.  MoDOT put up a temporary stop light at the 159 exit when they knew traffic would be affected on 66, and that was a TEMPORARY ordeal.  The busses come in & out every day, there's TWO lights on EastLawn for Freedom Elementery, why not put a stop light at Old 66 & Hwy F? I'm sure the money saved from paying for the "guard's" salary and liability insurance would more than cover it!
A quick search for "Waynesville crossing guard" came up with the job description... note that there is only one sentence referencing "and to aid school buses
with the timely pick up and delivery of students."  Again, under which statute is this legal???

It is not a priority, it is a saftey issue. Scheduling issue too..

Purely out of curiosity, how is it legal to have someone employed by the schools stand on a major roadway, in order to block traffic for school busses to come and go? I'm talking about the guy who now stands at Ousley & Old Route 66, who sees a bus coming down 66, and blocks the road so the bus can turn.  I've also see him repeatedly block traffic so parents can get their cars onto 66.  Just last week, within a period of about 30 seconds, I witnessed 2 separate wrecks almost happen because of this.  It would be one thing if he were escorting walking STUDENTS across the road, but for him to block traffic purely so school traffic can exit... what makes them getting to where they're going a higher priority than me getting to where I'm going?

562
KY3 said her jacket was found.

If this is true the vehicle has to be close by you would think?

563
I heard they found her spare tire cover...insurance card....grocery receipts or groceries. But this has not been verified..

564
Different gas stations issue different credit cards, there are also people who prefer a particualr brand of gas, a big plus for the tax base in Waynesville. More people getting off the interstate means more tax revenue.. May seem crazy but it will improve things. It also decreases the size of the current blight situation in the area a little..

what on earth? Why when there are two within two blocks ... what a waste of REALLY good space.

565
Looks big and looks like it has a car wash.

I shop the one the locals own.

I haven't seen anything about this on here.  I was told yesterday that the construction in front of Lowe's Chevrolet is for a new convenience store.  Someone at Kum & Go told me.  I was saying that would not be good for business and they said "there is more than enough business to support both of us."    Who would have thought there would be that much convenience store business.  I forget what she told me it was called but I have never heard of it.

567
When I drove the road the water was still very murky and swift..  I don't know much else about it, it has been years since I took boats out there.. Last time I boated there I tore the jet off a motor there, hit a rock I knew was there but forgot about. We were water skiing there, onlookers always liked that..

Rick, that was my thought as well, however the water above the bridge is generally very shallow for the most part.  We did travel upriver from riddle all the way up to the boat ramp above O hwy just in case.  There was a little hole there a vehicle can sit in where we discovered the stolen SUV last time.

Found this post on Facebook.

ATTN: FRIENDS and NEIGHBORS! This Sunday (the 8th) We are putting together a "Mothers Day Search Party" for Deb Cirrincione! Will be meeting at Riddle Bridge at 11am! Need as many volunteers as possible! Boats and ATVs would be greatly appreciated as well... not only will we be going door to door, but also searching creekbeds, and rivers!! Plz help us find her!!!

569
Awesome, good job guys.

SEEMS TO ME SHE MORE LIKELY WENT IN WEST OF RIDDLE BRIDGE WHILE DRIVING THE GRAVEL ROAD, IF IN FACT SHE DID GO IN..

Maynard myself and another got on the river on Sunday and ran from Riddle bridge to Veterans Bridge down the north side of the river and back up the South side the entire way with nothing to indicate she was in there.  The bad part is that is is so muddy if a vehicle did go in and made it to one of the deep holes, you could never see it.  There is some holes that would definitley catch a vehicle, but it will have to clear up to see if anything is in them, or have to talk someone with a sonar into coming down and looking.
