JB's problem is that his pictures are always way to large for the permissions set on this board. I always have to resize them.

JB did it the smarter way, lol...looks like he sent it to Rick and had him put it up....

Get out the Rogaine, get out the Viagra and celebrate another year!  Happy Birthday!

Developers do that to make it look like things are hapening there, even when they are not. Usually leave a few large pieces of eath moving equiptment also, as if is currently being worked on.. All to draw attention to their lot at our expense.

And, that spot right at the Waynesville exit is sure an eyesore now.  Not a good first impression.   Neither is the one at exit 159 going east.  Gerald Wyatt should be made to clean that area up.  He made the mess he needs to make it look better, another eyesore bad first impression.

News Release
Theft of a Turkey
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B.
King
Oct. 8, 2010

On April 19, 2010, the
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an incident where a subject
claimed that another hunter had robbed him of a turkey at gunpoint while he was hunting on public land
.

The suspect was quickly
located but he made claims that the first hunter was trespassing on his land
when he shot the turkey and the actions of the first hunter had placed him in
fear.

Assistance was requested
from a local Conservation Agent and GPS coordinates
for the actual location of the offense were obtained. Statements were obtained from both parties (one through an attorney) detailing the incident.

On Oct. 6, 2010, a
statement of probable cause was sent to the Pulaski County Prosecutor
requesting possible charges for this incident. At this time we are waiting for the decision of the prosecutor

Weekend wreck involving Richland man injures five in Camden County
By: Darrell Todd Maurina

RICHLAND, Mo. (Oct. 4, 2010) — A Saturday afternoon crash in Camden County involving a Richland driver injured five people, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Troopers reported that Jacob M. Strickland, 22, of Tunas, was driving eastbound in a 1995 Toyota on U.S. Route 54 about a half-mile east of Route Y at 1:30 p.m. when he passed a 1991 Chevrolet driven by Jonathan D. Vengill, 20, of Richland, and then rapidly decelerated. Vengill attempted to avoid a collision, lost control, and his vehicle struck Strickland’s Toyota, totaling it but causing only minor damage to his own vehicle.
Strickland did not have proof of insurance and his vehicle was removed by Bledsoe Towing. He suffered minor injuries along with his passengers, Sarah J. Hauck, 22, Annah F. Hauck, 3, Abbie B. Hauck, 2, and Rilie J. Hauck, 1, all of Camden. All five were transported to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance.
Vengill was not hurt and his vehicle was able to be driven away under its own power.
Troopers reported that all occupants of both vehicles had been wearing seat belts or child restraint.
In unrelated incidents:
  • Troopers arrested Brandon S. Bales, 32, of Waynesville, at 1:30 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. Troopers transported him to the Waynesville Police Department where he was subsequently released.
  • Troopers arrested Lonnie J. Lewis, 29, of Waynesville, at 9:12 a.m. Saturday on two felony warrants from Pulaski County for fraud and passing bad checks. Troopers transported him to the Pulaski County Jail where he was eligible for bond.
  • Troopers arrested Christian B. Barbary, 25, of South Bend, Ind., at 9:26 a.m. Saturday for felony possession of marijuana. Troopers transported him to the Pulaski County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.
  • Troopers arrested Tamira S. Dyers, 24, of Fort Leonard Wood, at 3:25 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving less than 40 mph on the interstate. Troopers transported her

I love Colbert, guys like him have guts.
Did you know that 90 percent of the nerve endings in your body are in your GUT!
I know some of you will say, "Hey Rick I looked that up and thats just not true."
My answer to you is next time look it up in your gut, I did and my gut tells me I am right.

Signed Colbert

March to Keep Fear Alive

America, the Greatest Country God ever gave Man, was built on three bedrock principles: Freedom. Liberty. And Fear — that someone might take our Freedom and Liberty. But now, there are dark, optimistic forces trying to take away our Fear — forces with salt and pepper hair and way more Emmys than they need. They want to replace our Fear with reason. But never forget — “Reason” is just one letter away from “Treason.” Coincidence? Reasonable people would say it is, but America can’t afford to take that chance.

So join The Rev. Sir Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, D.F.A. on October 30th for the “March to Keep Fear Alive“™ in Washington DC. Pack an overnight bag with five extra sets of underwear — you’re going to need them. Because, to Restore Truthiness we must always… Shh!!! What’s that sound?! I think there’s someone behind you! Run!

Ate there tonight. I ordered the Ribeye 8 oz for $9.95, well, I am here to tell you it was 14 oz atleast if not 16. Wonderfulllly cooked, came with corn, texas toast and mashed potatoes. Kelly had the Special pork chops and loved it. We walked out for 20 bucks stuffed to the gills. I highly reccommend this restaurant.

Night Club, Bars, Night Life. / Re: Wiskeys Bar
« on: October 04, 2010, 11:35:00 AM »
Digital, you need to get out and look around, the smaller clubs here are thriving with bands. A club like 151 can't survive on bands easily, but then they have never tried the correct bands, although great bands are rare. Your world is one made up of 18 to 22 and that is what the large bars have to do to survive.. I have never seen so many bands doing well locally..

Its not BS.  Its my business to know these things because it effects my... well, business.

Live music doesn't mean a whole lot to anyone right now.  I've already been down this road in this town and it just doesn't work here.  I don't blame the musicians... I blame current American culture... or at least the culture that is perceived as popular in this area that is a piece of American culture..  Bands don't sell anymore.  Bands do a lot better in college towns... and even then its becoming a dying act.  Its unfortunate... but its true.  Blame hip hop and rap's popularity.  Nobody cares about SKILL anymore when it comes to music.

The media is selling garbage as gold and everyone seems to be eager to take a bit bite and smile and buy whatever new clothing line is being pushed by whatever fast talking talentless criminal they dressed up and called a musician this week who resamples old 80's melodies who's catalog rights they've bought up because their copyrights ran out.

The population goes where the hype is at... and unfortunately... all people seem to care about anymore is getting drunk and getting laid and listening to the same 3 rap songs all night.  Granted getting drunk and laid was the goal of most people before... the people before just seemed to appreciate a little bit more variety outside of shots, thugs and hood rats.

The two main clubs in town are Area 151 and Trinity... they're too huge for anyone to compete against.  There just isn't enough population base here to justify other clubs... if we were somewhere like Springfield or even Columbia... everyone would be able to get a piece of the action... but as it stands... its just not going to happen.

If someone wanted to make money opening up a new club... St. Robert isn't the town to do it in.  Somewhere like Rolla would be a better bet.  Something to appeal to the college kids.  There is one bar here in Rolla that I know about... and its not very big.  I seems to do BIG business on the weekends though... probably because this is a college town and its the only bar around here... so there aren't many options.

Its just too bad someone won't open something here and DO IT RIGHT... the thing on Pine street was a joke... that's why its dead and forgotten.
