Local News / Re: Hartzler looking to expand Missouris naval bases?
« on: August 21, 2010, 04:35:20 PM »
She was trying to pull the naval vote.. Simple.. Big deal in SanDiego perhaps..

Another thought: I think she may talking about the Navy Seabees and other naval detachments at Fort Leonard Wood and Whiteman, and perhaps Naval Reserve facilities. Remember, our former governor is a Naval Academy graduate and is still in the Naval Reserve.

But her comment doesn't seem to make sense in the big picture even if there has been a reduction in small Navy detachments and reserve units compared to the major increases in the presence of other services.

The craziest thing about them building a mosque at ground zero is that the fact that if it sits there,  it still won't protect that area from terrorist attack.

There is also the problem of being able to get people’s address and a map to where they live.  S Korea is a having problem with google drive-bys cameras on the streets.  I’m not sure I like it myself.  There really is no reason for a picture of someone’s house on google’s website.  Big brother is going to come into play someday and it will not be big government but big business to blame.

County Government Opinion / Re: How's the Prosecuting Attorney Doing?
« on: August 05, 2010, 12:05:22 AM »
I might add she didn't leave until 8:30pm last night. No doubts she works.

She came into the office at 4am today and has a ton of cases (law day) set for hearrings and reviews today. We have 38 inmates in the jail and all are waiting to go to third floor. It will be a long day.

Maybe we should just go ahead and put that up, the chances of you losing are nix to nine to nada. Kidding I'll wait.. Thanks for being a stand up guy.. If all the politicians were like you, this board wouldn't need to exist.

I'll still be on here.  Maybe Rick can put a thread that is "Ask the Prosecutor a question" or something like that.  Remember though, I still have to win in November.
