Business Opinion / Re: Property Next To Lowe's Chevrolet

Banks don't want to loan money these days. Think, if you were a banker would you want to reposes that eagle and what would it be worth if you did?
Why Iffy on the statue?

The museum is a go, the statue is iffy.
I hope it happens but I really have my doubts about it ever happening  :(

God forbid he might want to fight crime here. Really? Really!

These are meaningless statistics.  What does the number of cases filed have to do with anything??  The percentage of convictions would be more meaningful.  I have never heard a candidate campaign on the number of cases he/she intends to file.  Is that what you are running on??

Restaurant Opinion / Re: Seoul Garden
« on: July 05, 2010, 01:14:47 AM »
Lost interest in the TK's Pizza Soridan? What's your personal interest in this place??
Seems like all the Japanese food places skipped town for the 4th of July holiday so when we were craving sushi we went to Seoul Garden for some take-out and were blown away. The guy at the counter seemed a little goofy but we walked away with slot of food for $40. They had to give us a box to carry it all. The sushi was great and the bi-bim-bop can't be beat. The bulgolgi was less salty than at other places. But the best part were the exotic and super-tasty side items that came with our order all in one container. I dumped it all in my bi-bim-bop and went hog wild! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Too bad for the other oriental restos, by closing their doors for the holidays they might have lost alot of customers to Seoul Garden (next to Alpine Haus & Dutchmans/across from the BP in St. Robert.)

This subject of medicinal MJ is insane. Try and make it legal is OK with me but to say you need it as medicine is ridiculous..

Critter was warned the first time he called you a name and did it again and now he is banned..
Satanic jewelry?  LOL.

I guess you talked to Mark one too many times.  I have a big silver ring with a pentagram on it that I wear to scare away crazy Christians and Jehova's Witnesses.  Just kidding.  I do wear a big silver pentagram ring though... not that it should really be any of your concern.

Sometimes I wish he was still around.  At least he was interesting... granted he had his issues... he was still interesting.  What ever happened to Mark anyway?  You guys used to be such good pals...  I miss his trying to convert me at the bar when I go out with friends and them telling us that he is going to "whip our asses" if we don't listen to him.  The guy was just such an outstanding role model.

I work in "tittie bars?"  I do graphic design for commercial businesses between Springfield and St. Louis... ONE of them does include a gentlemen's club.  What point are you trying to make?  That I do business with a strip club?  Oh no... stop... I'm going to hell... for making money and supporting my family.  Hey, I'll make you a deal... if your church will pay our bills every month... I'll stop doing design work for all those evil satanic nightclubs...  Talk to them about it and see if they'll go for it.  You'll even get me to say "You were right. Porn is bad. God is good."

I'm pretty sure I'll never have to say that though will I?

Your such a hypocrite.  Your supposed to be this big holy roller but all you do on this site is sit back and pass judgment on others when their activities don't line up with your own twisted idea of morality.

Your one of the people who make Christianity look bad.

Well... sorry to disappoint you... but we live in a country called the United States of America... and in this country... stuff like porn and free thinking is a right that we all as citizens have...

So, until the church can burn the bill of rights in one of its book burnings... well... I guess your going to have to get used to us "satanists" being able to do what we want to do within the confines of United States law.

Oh, I almost forgot... your admin statement.   You want me to act like an admin?  Ok... I can do that for a minute or two...

Stop using bad language on the site.  Even using symbols to substitute curse words is unacceptable.  No name calling. Blah blah etc.  There.  Happy?

I'm an admin.  So what?  Does that void my opinion?  Don't try to use my admin tag as a defense for your opinions and/or personal attacks on my character.

Who's having a problem taking the same thing they dish out again?

I'm not mad... just disappointed.

Let them build it, it will burn and it will be a place for graffiti and the Americans wrath.. I'd spit on it for sure..

New Missouri law bans stripping at strip clubs

Story Published: Jun 25, 2010 at 2:55 PM CDT

Story Updated: Jun 25, 2010 at 2:59 PM CDT
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Strip clubs and adult stores in the state will have to keep their employees clothed, minors out and doors shut after midnight under a new law. Gov. Jay Nixon signed legislation on Friday that imposes new restrictions on sexually oriented businesses effective Aug. 28.

The law bans full nudity, alcohol, patrons younger than 18 and touching between seminude employees and customers. New strip clubs and adult stores will have to be at least 1,000 feet from homes, schools, churches, libraries, parks, childcare centers and other sexually oriented businesses.

The MIssouri Supreme Court struck down a similar law approved by the Legislature in 2005. That legislation also prompted a federal investigation into how it was handled by the House.

Critics contend the rules will hurt the state's economy.

Sexual business law is SB586

----Hey Darrel... when are you going to run a story about this?  After the clubs shut down?  This law will effect this area quite a bit...

Quit telling people about my secret hangouts.
Those still exist.  Check out the clubs in Springfield.  Most all of them are like that.

However, if this bill passes... your going to have to take your tax dollars to the clubs on the Illinois side of St. Louis.

LOL.. You believed JB's joke? Hilarious.
Isnít he is still in the military? As a 4 star general he should know about the chain of command. He should have known better than to talk about the president in any negative way.  He got canned from his position and he has no to blame but himself. The fact that the president got a 98% approval from the Taliban Cultural Association means nothing.  If he would have kept him they would have said that was a good thing to. Propaganda on their part no matter how they play it. The reporter probably will never get another interview with anyone in the military.

Book deals, lecture tours, or political office?
I think he knew full well what he was doing.  The question remains, what was his motivation?

Hilarious Darrell.

I like a lot of what General McChrystal says. But come on, guys... do we really have a four-star general who acts like a bunch of Pulaski County commissioners in front of reporters with tape recorders running? Could he REALLY be that unaware of how these comments would play in the media?

Are there still discussions about a driving range behind Mid Missouri Motors area??

Hopefully I can answer some of the questions asked.  On the golf course, yes it will fit.  We had the golf course designer lay it out with the future road and buildings already added.  We will put the design out in the city building if you want to see it, or I'll see if I can upload it here tomorrow.  We chose a Par 3 course because there is not one in this area.  These courses are great for beginners because they are short and easy to play.  Also great for kids and seniors.  If you have never played, this is the place to start.  We have already been talking about what types of clinics and camps we can do up there next year.
We had to obligate the money fairly quickly because we have a time limit on the bonds we issued as a result of the park tax for the pool.  We have been adding improvements below our estimated costs so we have been able to do more than we thought originally.
The baseball fields and soccer fields would not have worked without tearing out all of the trees and lots of earthwork.  It was just not something that was cost productive.  We are looking at adding fields in other areas.
The fishing pond will be free, but you will have to have a Missouri fishing license.  It will be stocked with catfish, bluegill, and bass.  We are adding fish structures to allow them to grow big.  It should be a nice addition.
We are also considering a disc golf course and hiking trails in the Plattner Park addition.  Is there anything else folks want to see. (Please be serious and think of the cost).  I'll take the suggestions to the park committee.

Lets stop the name calling and insults please..

I'm glad Jeff's not a druggie, he is crazy enough already.. LOL

My question is this. How many things would I be charged with if I shot a fawn in the face in Waynesville? I am sure I'd be taken away in cuffs.. They would go nuts if I did it at a bank for sure..
