I think you are both way off the mark. This was a sales tax that only affected the Pool. It has nothing else to do with the park system. Its money goes to nothing else in the park system but the pool. I don't recall any other tax rolled back because of this.

I may have missed something, but I seriously doubt it.
I believe St. Robert got its tax passed because of them not giving the voters a plate of bull to go with it and acted professional and transparent in their dealings with the public.

Perhaps a Walgreens big box store is coming. That would make some sense.
He gets to keep some of the sales tax he collects to put it back into his business.
Tax Increment? WTF does that mean? we pay for it so Joe shmoe can have a hotel with an un needed pharmacy? Where does a Pharmacy fit in in a hotel environment anyway? Somebody explain this to me.

Today again you hear about all of the states who are having fiscal difficulties.. I am glad that Missouri isn't on that list.. David Day and all the people in charge of our budget seem to be doing a better job than most states.. Keep up the good work.

So people are right in front of your house and they are shooting at your house, yet no bullets hit your house? Perhaps you are streching the truth here?
I live in Valley Park. As far as I can see, there are none lodged in my house or front trees.

Again, the bullets hit your house?
I very rarely complain about anything but I do have one now. I have always praised out response team but not now. I live in a high crime area, not by choice, not because I'm a drug addict, it's because I'm poor and that's what I can afford. The other morning at 4am there were gunshots fired at my house. I immediately called 911 and explain that they were handgun shots, not shotgun and they were shot right in front of my house. A deputy called me back to get a detailed explanantion, in which I said there were two vehicles that fled down the road and that I was concerned for my elderly neighbors safety. An hour later and 5 calls later, the county finally showed up. I was told that they frequently get reports of gunshots in my neighborhood and that they basically didn't see the need to respond. Upon arrival, the deputy conducted a 2 minute search which involved him walking down the road with a flashlight looking for casings and then conversating with the other two officers. They never did a well being check on my neighbors or investigated it further. After talking with my neighbors, they heard the gunshots and can identify the vehicle. I don't understand why I'm being shrugged off. I pay my taxes to the county for them to protect and serve me. Since when have I, a law aboding citizen, become a burden?

The bullets hit your house?
I would like to know what I need to do to get a quicker response from county and actual investigation into what happen. There were gunshots fired at my house the other morning and after calling 5 times and an hour of waiting, county finally showed up. Before they responded they called my phone and told me that because I live in a high crime area that has numerous reports of gunfire, they did not see the need to respond. I explained that myself and all homeowners around me were elderly and that I was concerned for my neighbors safety. After arrival, the three officers did a 2 minute search, spoke a few minutes, and left the scene without well being checks done on my neighbors. After talking to my neighbors, they witnessed the vehicles as well. What do I have to do to get further investigation done.

The most memorable one for sure.. We are about ten years old now.. All politicians are on here, they are just afraid to say something for fear someone might out them for something.
Rick, wasn't I the first politican on here?        You are brave Dave, and I was on here as a county commissioner, hahaha, talkin about some heat man!   But...the good folks on here made it worthwhile. Also, like you, it gave me tremendous opportunity to help folks and communicate.

Military Opinion / Re: Muslims in the US Military
« on: November 09, 2009, 10:06:31 PM »
Heck no, leave Catholics in the military.. You wouldn't want them running day cares would ya? Kidding..
It was a Catholic that threw grenades in tents and then shot and killed fellow soldiers in Kuwait a few years ago, because he did not want to fight, shall we also exclude catholics from the military? This is the first time a person has used religion as an excuse for this. I hope this does not turn into a reason for more bigotry and hate crimes against Muslims, which would only make it easier for these extremist groups to turn peaceful Muslims into extremist.
Think how many Muslims we have in this country. Millions maybe, and how many crimes have been committed by them acting out by their religion. mmmm, none that I know of that live in this country.
Now, lets think about all the shootings we have had over the last several years that have killed so many people, from whack jobs to disgruntled workers, who most of which were good ole christians.
I remember not too many years ago of a Ft Bragg soldier who played sniper on fellow soldiers, and because he was christian, no mention of religion was made.
I think this guy was a whack job, and regardless of his religion, was going to go off because he did not want to go to war, and only used religion as an excuse.
If this had been a stressed out babtist, everyone would be crying how we are stressing out our soldiers, but no, he was a muslim so there for we need to string up every muslim they are all bad.

Here is an example of one months list of shootings of multiple people. And these were done by Americans, and none of them were Muslims. So why is it when a Muslim does this, we feel we need to persecute them all?

RCGA started out with the same goal. Didn't they?

RCGA works with a group of counties, the PCGA is just Pulaski Co.  I do believe that the RCGA is assisting the Growth Allicance though.

Their hope is that it will attract business and industry, I would assume. I'm thinking this can't be the county site Ransdall spoke of. Maybe Ransdall was under that impression, idunno....
The site leaves quite bit to be desired. Is this supposed to be the official website for the county?
Like Rick said it looks like the Growth Alliance site. The county should have put a little money into it. May I don’t get what this site is supposed to be for, but I would of at least included links to the sheriff and county offices.  You’re not going to find gossip, and local goings on that site. There is no place on it to argue about politics or religion.

Do you really think name calling would be a good thing for this site to allow?
What good is a moderator if he won't moderate. There's a reason they have those ya know?
By the way, I issued some light yesterday. Not everyone always knows it.

I know he's not talking about me because he has sent me a whole bunch of the blue lite specials, you know the one's that say you have been warned about name calling and things like that.
I just wish he would share the love with some others  ((*(*& ;D

You are welcome and thanks for the kind words. Believe me, there are things on here I don't like either..
About 15 - 18% of my traffic comes from this site, either directly or indirectly.  When you consider that I am linked to sites all over the state, and to some extend all over the nation...that is a huge number.

I gotta say this also, seems like the right place for the comment.  On occasion I catch some grief for posting on this site because of some of the content it gets and language it has from some people, and I understand those comments and respect them...there are some things on here I don't care for but hey, that is life.  However, I also point out to folks that I have been able to help literally hundreds of people with problems anywhere from roads, child support, abuse, auto registration, and everything in between because of this site.  I will get notes in my e-mail saying they got the address from here wanting help, I will get private messages on here asking for help, I will answer a question on here and be told later from someone that while they didn't ask the question, it was one they had.  There are a lot of folks out there that have told me that they have never known where to find out how to contact their State Rep until finding me on here and that because of this site, it is the first time they have let their feelings be known to a state elected official.  I think that is a good thing personally.

If a candidate or elected official wants to be on here or not is their business and I don't feel it is my place to say they should or shouldn't.  I do know that for me it has been very good and has been a valuable tool in helping hundreds of constituents.

For that Rick, I thank you.

Rick I looked all over what I could on that site and I couldn't find a link to this site??
Don't they know that this site is where to go if you want truth about pulaski county not just smoke blown up your butt.
Wasn't the Pulaskicountyweb the first in the county?? Where everyone asked questions when they wanted info about housing, shopping,Schools and such like.
For some reason I still think this site will still hold the #1 spot :{:{:

Just curious, I did see where the domain is owned by PCGA, so it may be just theirs.  I just compare work to what my 16yo does, she runs my site at, hers is

Thanks for the info.
