This is a confusing thread. From the title I am assuming that this person was stationed at Fort Wood? Where is Notch Peak? Local? Or am I missing another thread that explains this better.

Its a Ft. Wood drill Sgt. in Utah.

Wow.. I hope he gets the help he needs. :-[

You are right, but she still has the right to write the Sheriff and tell him her version of what happened at the incident. Ask JB how many complaints he gets about how the officers acted, I'll bet he gets a lot, most of them unfounded, but they still had the right to bring the incident to his attention.

I think this Sheriff acted appropriately in telling her the story and she probably was very embarrased when she got his letter.  Maybe she learned a lesson.

I understand all that.. Just hoping she did learn a lesson...

The lady seems to have blown things out of proportion.  Any idiot can recognize that kind of procession.  She reminds me a bit of the hippie movement in the 60's when they spit on us for being in the military.  Her resentment is not anybody's problem but her own.  I wonder if she would like a little cheese to go with the whine.  She knows not the meaning of sacrifice nor respect.  She claims a biker did this.  Where is her proof?  Just her word?  Not enough substance.  Well one of our own bikers was there, made comment and is then vilified.  For what.  That woman was completely in the wrong as far as I am concerned.  By law, funeral processions have the right of way and she should have just moved out of the way.

Everytime he does something so stupid, I don't think he can top it..well last night he topped it.. Arrogant RUDE SOB :poke:

68
I have drove upon many funeral processions without prior notice.. I certainly stopped.. It is called RESPECT.

69
While the woman should be a more understanding, the guy on the bike if he did what she said he did was in the wrong.  If that hadnít of happened she probably wouldnít of wrote that letter. Stick your head in my car window and yell at me and you better be able to run fast because I will drag you.

If "I" was a family member and "my" mephew was disrespected like that fighting for "my" freedom of speech, I would have probably said alot worse. :(

70
R E S P E C T.................Any soldier earns it and they deserve it.. I only "HOPE" I never have to be inconvienced by a funeral in my home town...because that would mean someones Son, father, brother, Daughter, mother or sister has died fighting for our freedom. Should that happen you certainly may inconvience me.

Iggy the soldiers that are entering a dining facility at 5 PM do stop and salute the flag and they dont take another step until taps are done..  :th_gen129:  Its neat to watch them..

As a little girl, many moons ago the members of the VFW in Crocker selected a members family to raise and lower the city flag on a monthly rotation..
I remember going every morning and evening with my dad to do this.. It was a beautiful and honored thing to make sure the flag was hung properly and like never touch the ground.
Does Crockers VFW stilll do this? If not..they should because children learn so much about the flag and its honor.

Goodluck with getting Crocker to do anything about our flag poles! Look at our sidewalks it has been almost 3 years, and they are still torn up. The old ones were better than what we have now. I heard we got a grant to fix them so what is the problem??

I am so glad my kids/grandkids dont have to walk that path anymore.. it is so dangereous.

I still wonder about the springfield women too! I just cant imagine not finding anything to tell what happened to them.... but Missouri has so many woods and caves etc that they could hide a body or bodies anywhere! Its scarey!!!

We do have so many places like that.. It is so scary..

Crazy huh Okie. He probably did his homework and knew not much danger from copperhead. Still nuts though....

If the creature has the last name of snake, I want nothing to do with it...One of my brothers once told me he wished I would get bit by a copperhead so I would be the first person in Missouri to die of copperhead bite. I told him he should wish I would get bit by a garter snake, then I would be the first person in the WORLD to die of garter snake bite.

Depends on which one of us gets bit first from a garter snake.. as to who would hold THAT record.. I am terrified of snakes.. I was always told.. stand still they will move from you.. Does that take into account the thump from falling over with a heart attack? :sleepy1a: :sleepy1a: ***(((*

Thats a good way to put it JB.. Some people really are wrngfully accused.. And it comes out in court.. We are supposed to be a civilized country with a basic freedom. It just irks me sometimes when coments are made.
As a citizen you hear stories every day...someone did this..someone did that.. When SOMETIMES you "KNOW" that person didnt do it because you knew where they were..Yet people would rather "assume" they did..

Most would be very irate if they actually knew the total non-reimbursed costs to house this human debris.

Is this the human debris that are presumed innocent until found guilty in the good ole USA?

Geez, if half the ppl who worked in the mess halls got stabbed for doing hanky panky times with anothers spouse, there would hardly be enough ppl left to feed the army. lol or anywhere else for that matter.

Youy said what I wanted too, but I held my tongue.

My husband said a server was sleeping with a soldier's wife while he was in Iraq.  He came in to the mess hall today and asked the guy if he was so-and-so.  Before the guy could answer, he got a blade to the throat.  That's the story I got.

The guy stabbed was a dfa  (KP) not a server.
