County Government Opinion / Re: How's the Prosecuting Attorney Doing?

We have been over this subject several times in the last couple years. The sheriff explained it well..
I too questioned that post...

I always thought their pizza tasted like wet towels.
Now this has got to be the strangest case of a coincidental response I've seen so far this year.

PETTIS COUNTY, MO. -- The Pettis County Commission voted to outlaw a synthetic form of marijuana Monday morning, until a few months ago, few people in Missouri had ever heard of.

Can our Commissioners outlaw this in our county??

National Political Opinion / Re: Dan rather on nobama

If so then it can be said of all races, that all races say racist things about other races.

It would be less surprising had Rush said it, but it doesn't really bother me too much one way or the other. If there is one thing that remains constant throughout the years, it's that old white people say racist shit sometimes. Hell, what am I saying, all white people say racist shit sometimes. It's simply a fact of nature.

From my recollection, no one has ever been happy with any prosecuting attorney. When you prosecute people it sure does create some enemies.

Mine went up 100 too.. My latest bill was 550.00. New record.
My usual bill year round is 130.00 to 160.00. Im all electric. Last 2 bills as well as the new one.......400.00 plus. I asked what the deal was and they said it was due to the cold. Ok.......maybe.....but almost triple? and to beat all after the first 400 dollar electric bill I lectured the wife and kids to turn off lights, turn off tv's at night...the whole nine yards. A side note......we are never home. so this months bill comes in at over 400 dollars and no lights are on, nobodys been home, the heats on as low as we can stand it, and still the bill is over 400? Seems to me were bieng scammed hard by the utility company. I said this last year with 300 plus bills, now its a hundred more/? ??? ?? WTF? Ive spent more this last 3 months than I have all year last year on electric. Hows that even possible? I can run the Air conditioning all summer and not even come close.

Local News / Re: Farnham proposes tax vote

Correct, they accepted sub standard roads and we get to pay for that mistake.

I guess we'll have to wait and see when the full article comes out.  BUT, if they combine a R&B tax with LE tax it will fail.  R&B created their own problems by accepting these roads from private contractors when they did not meet standards, and now they want us to pay for them?  I hope this is opening everyones eyes; this is what happens when you vote in "Good ole boys" who look out for their fellow contractor buddies instead of the citizens they're supposed to be supporting.

Palease.. Really?? Kill the chances for the sheriffs department tax??
They were just saying how solid the road budget was solid, they had huge budget increases, what is it now? Bought to much high end equiptment?

Farnham proposes tax vote
By Randy Scruggs
The Mirror
The condition of county roads was the chief topic at the March 4 meeting of the Pulaski County Commission.
After hearing a complaint about the condition of Texas Road by resident Casey Bunnell, Eastern District Commissioner Bill Farnham said the county has finally gotten some asphalt and is repairing the potholes on Texas Road.
Farnham said the problem recently has been that no companies have been making asphalt. With the acquisition of the asphalt, the potholes will be fixed, Farnham said.
Farnham suggested the county put a tax proposal on the ballot to pass a road and law enforcement tax.
“That would stop a lot of this,” Farnham said, referring to road damage. “The problem with Texas Road is that it was built by a private contractor, and it doesn’t have a proper base,” Farnham said. “We need to peel off the top, and start again.”
In other action, the commission agreed to meet with architect Larry Goldberg on March 22 to discuss building a new county jail.
The commission also voted to reduce the price of county plat books from $50 to $35.

Hey Einstein, if you were smart you could just type the cuss word into a search on here, but you aren't that smart are you?

You have been hacked since you thought I called you "not smart".  I have a life so I am not going through every post.  I have read many post in the past and spoke to coworkers on how vivid it can get on here and just laugh.

« on: February 23, 2010, 03:34:03 AM »
Point these cuss words out to me where that refered to a person using that word and I will take care of it.. Waiting.....
I have seen far worse words used than Einstein, actually cuss words.  But getting back to the topic.
This is a federal issue.  It more serious than just having fun making comments about people on the board.  I used to work at a place of employment where an issue happened and the local police dept looked on this board to see what comments were being made.  The whole faculty was warned about being careful and to not even get involved with the gossip on here. If the locals do it and have the staff warned, the feds would not be as nice. The problem comes in when you make comment and particularly name a person. This is why I am saying this.

« on: February 23, 2010, 12:54:25 AM »
You need to be careful, you are treading a fine line on the subject of name calling.

yes einstein it was on KJPW.  You should  be careful stating names on your comments.  I am just saying to be very careful.

My thoughts were this should squelch medical marijuana proponents. I mean who neeeds medical marijuana if this stuffs legal and does the same thing.
I see this as all the more reason to decriminalize marijuana, ESPECIALLY to pass the bill for medicinal marijuana!

It burns like marijuana, works like marijuana and it sort of looks like it, too.

And it's perfectly legal.
Because the active ingredients are just a few atoms away from the real thing, the synthetic stuff isn't covered by laws banning marijuana.  This means K2 and similar products are legal - even though the effects are identical to pot.

There is no record of any post of yours being deleted. I apologize for not being as smart as you are..
I made a prior post and see that it was deleted.  My post stated to be very careful of outright saying names.  Let me give you an example of how an innocent person can fall into a situation like this and not even realize it.  I know for a fact this is what has happened to one of the individuals.  Say you are an employee at Chase bank.  You are brought papers to figure the math on liabilities and assets on a loan paper.  You initial your figure that you have completed and give it back to the boss.  You are instantly connected to the event.  Please be very careful outright state peoples names on here.  If administrator was smart they would delete the whole thread.  Trust me you don't want to be subpoenaed. As far as the bank making comments of when this supposedly happened. Very unprofessional.

Restaurant Opinion / Re: T K's Pizza
« on: February 06, 2010, 01:15:24 AM »
I am well aware of your connection to TK's Pizza.

You can't beat the taste of TKs pizza. You can't beat the price of TKs pizza. And you got to love the fact that they are a "mom and pop" family business that recovered from a family tragedy and perserveared. They have NOT undermined their competitors by throwing away flyers or bad-mouthing and TKs STILL uses REAL CHEESE (not cheese flavored cheese) like the "other guys". There's alot of love in that TKs pizza. A lot of love indeed!

In comparison the Statue of Liberty is 151 feet. 111 feet from the heel to top of the head, that arm sticks up a long ways. But it has a huge pedestal it sits on.

The eagle itself is approx. 110 feet high and thats 11 stories :th_thwhistling:

Wonder if it will make the Guinness Book of records?  11 stories!!

Critter, they are from Niangua.  You see their trucks, Hicks Construction, around.  Richard Hicks and David McFarlane.  They have invested a lot of money in Waynesville and have taken a chance on us.  We appreciate them.

Last I heard was they were acepting bids about a month or more ago.
Has anybody heard what is going on with this.  When I went to a meeting, before they even voted for the sales tax, they said they would start construction in October and hoped to have it open by August 2010.  I don't see anything being done yet.  Looks like they are way off on their timeline.

When I originally brought the idea for a War Memorial and Musem to the Economic Development Committe, a few of us including Bruce Harril City Administrator for Waynesville all went and toured this facility and spoke with its manager. Nice place and they were expanding it.

I have to agree with Rick on this one, what a Awesome idea for pulaski county, who would not be here if not for the military base.  we should be HONORED to have a NATIONAL marker as such in our midst.
I wonder how many of you have every been to kansas city and seen the WWI national monument and museum?  They too have a tower that has a amazing view of the city as well as lions with wings that mark its entrance.
As far as being "to much in this economy" it is project's like this that will boost our areas economy by pulling in people who would have not a reason to come here other wise.  I would hate for waynesville to be known only as "that piss stop on the way to branson"
