  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: You mean that tax that the Commissioners would not put on the ballot for so many years? Strange things happened when the citizens got a chance to vote on that issue.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

On Sunday, the Hollywood Asylum 13 Film Festival (based in New York City) announced its winners and awarded a local film for “best feature” and “best FX”. The zombie spoof, Redneck Carnage, starred the employees of Tks Pizza in St. Robert and was written and directed by local filmmaker, Johnno Zee, who is already finishing up production on another feature, Momo, and is about to begin production on his next project, a movie set in the mythical aftermath of December 21st, 2012.  Redneck Carnage is available in all Springfield, MO Blockbuster stores, on Amazon.com, IndieFlix.com, at RedneckCarnage.com and at Tks Pizza.

Local Zombie Movie Setting the Pace

There's no shortage of zombie movies but when one local group of filmmakers broke attendance records at a local theater and managed to get placement at a local video rental chain with their own independent film, people began to take notice. "We originally had a public access show but when we found that we had reached nearly a million hits on our YouTube videos we started thinking toward making a feature," writer/actor/director Johnno Zee said. But why zombies? "I remember an established filmmaker had once said that if you want to take the independent route to filmmaking that you should start with a documentary or a horror film," he replies. "And as we couldn't afford a celebrity to help sell our movie we chose to have zombies which prove time and again to be a built in selling point." The makers of Redneck Carnage (a horror/comedy) say the movie can be found at Springfield area Blockbuster stores, on Amazon.com, eBay and from their website, RedneckCarnage.com. Excerpts from the film, an official trailer and a trailer for the forthcoming Redneck Carnage video game can be found at YouTube.com.
Additionally, the producers of Redneck Carnage are currently in production with their follow-up project, Momo (a film about the legendary Missouri Monster) and are looking ahead toward their next film, Dystopia:2013. Johnno and his team will be looking for volunteers to serve as, extras, stunt performers and stunt drivers for "2013". All inquiries should be directed to Zomular@gmail.com.

Those videos were from about 18 months ago. But remember that Redneck Carnage and Winters Bone were shot about the same time with alot of the same people and that both movies are starting to gather up awards!
