News Release
Drug Arrest During Traffic Enforcement Operation
Pulaski County Sheriff J. B. King
Nov. 30, 2012

At approximately 9:00am on Nov. 29, 2012, a Pulaski County deputy working on an overtime traffic enforcement grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Division, conducted a traffic stop near the I-44 and Rt. H overpass on a vehicle that did not display a front license plate.

During the stop the driver admitted that his driverís license was suspended. A driverís license check with the Missouri Department of Revenue confirmed that admission. A firearm was found hidden near the driver and the driver was found to have in his possession items of drug paraphernalia and a baggy with a while powder substance, believed to be about two grams of methamphetamine, and a digital pocket scale.

The driver was taken to the Pulaski County Jail and a statement of probable cause was sent to the Pulaski County Prosecutor requesting drug charges. The prosecutor filed one count of possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony, on Shannon J. Hood, age 33, of 26139-12 Stone Road, Richland, Missouri. The bond on Hood was set at $10,000 and he remains in the Pulaski County Jail.

Looks like he needs to stay locked down awhile and get some food. He is awfully suck-en in on his face.
