Arrest Made in Beating-Robbery of 91 Year Old WWII Vet

An arrest warrant issued today concluded the investigation into a June 11 incident where ninety-one year old World War II Veteran James Dunham was brutally beaten after walking in on several suspects who were burglarizing his home.

Today, an arrest warrant was issued for Graves R. King II, 35, accusing him of four felony criminal charges:  First Degree Assault, Robbery in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree and Armed Criminal Action. A $1,000,000 bond for these charges was set by Judge Collin Long.

After Mr. Dunham’s offense was reported, Pulaski County Sheriff’s detectives began aggressively investigating his case. Graves King II was an immediate suspect but was initially arrested for the charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by county deputies a few days after Mr. Dunham’s robbery, but for a separate offense.  King has been held since June on a $100,000 bond for the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm case. As the Dunham investigation continued, further evidence was gathered and analyzed, which led to the arrest warrant being issued today. The Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office was also instrumental with this investigation.

Suspect Graves King II is currently in the custody of the Pulaski County Sheriff, with bonds totaling $1,100,000. It is anticipated that additional arrests may be forthcoming in Mr. Dunham’s case.
