I've hooked my own behind more than once, and my brothers won't get anywhere near me when I'm casting!

I was a lot better with a cane pole, line and cork. And for everyone's sake, DO NOT put a spinning reel in my hands. That makes me armed and dangerous to everyone and everything but fish.

Ok Kristi what did you do? I guess the only dumb thing I have done while fishing was when I was little my dad handed me a fish to put in the basket that he had caught and scared me and needless to say it went back into the lake.
Go ahead and blame me....Everyone else does

Well I wasn't fishing and it was just this weekend. We were playing cards while sitting in the river (chairs and table included). I had my cell phone on the table and decided to take it to the camp to be safe - keep in mind we were all sober - I stand up and the cord on my chair is wrapped around my ankle - I fall hard and not so graceful but saved my phone. Kind of like falling and not spiling your beer....

There was the time my hubby turned the boat too quick and flipped me out of the lawn chair i was in, thankfully I didn't go out the boat - just go a few laughs.

And, just a few weeks ago when we got swamped at the lake and our boat sank.

Or the time the boat motor jumped off the boat, hubby went in after it, the boat hit a current and I was on the other side of the river. He was standing in the middle of the river holding the motor. We are still not sure how that all happened.

Hubby pulled in a monster catfish one night about 1 am, we were in the boat in the middle of a lake and it was more fish than I cared to mess with. This guy was going to tip our little boat over! Lucky for me, he was the big one that got away - hubby still dreams of him!

I am sure I could think of a few more....

Kristie, you haven't said what happened yet.

I wonder if any men will admit to anything?  I doubt it.
Last year I saw a Garfield cartoon where his fishing line was a mangled mess up in a tree.  Thats me for sure.
Lets see, cast my line out and have my two piece pole come apart and the front half fly out into the river. Happens once every trip and everytime I hear "That's why I only use one piece poles".
My chair tip over and dump me in the water/mud this too happened more than once.
Have a Painted turtle (not snapper or soft shell) latch onto the end of my finger while I'm trying to remove a hook from him.
Hey, it's just me, Suzi

Did a good thing this weekend too....went floating Friday and then went again Sunday. Noticed someone put out a bunch of limblines and they were just at the top of the water. My daughter seen a crane just sitting, the closer we got we noticed he was on one of the lines. He was wore out, we could not get the hook out of his "neck skin". We cut the line and covered him up with a shirt until we floated to a house and got the hook out. He swam off in the water and then walked to the bank - he was in shock I am sure. Hope he made.

Yes they are protected. You are supposed to report when you accidentally catch one. And man are they ugly!

Never heard of it
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right, Forget the ones who don't, and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
