I saw a UFO there. Three alien chicks got off the ship an abducted me. Then they used probes on me.

after an all day float with the miss or mrs and wearing cut offs and shes in her tanning suit and everyones all wet and wanna have a few brews and visit friends and listen to some jams you cant beat the Elbow. They can take the 151 and cater to the younguns but us older fellas spend wayyyyy more. I doubt they make it with all the rules and codes and etc. Wish em well but Id never go.

What is a jersey and why can't you wear one?

A Jersey is a type of shirt. When people refer to one, they are generally talking about replicas of the game shirts worn by professional sports players. A jersey doesn't have to be affiliated with sports, but it generally is.

The problem with Jerseys is that sports versions often cause fights. They are often linked to gangs. For instance, chances are that if a person lives outside of Colorado and wears a Colorado Rockies hat, they may very well be in the Crips. Somebody a long time ago saw that the CR logo spells out CRIP, kind of. Also, if you go to LA and wear your Card's shirt, they will probably assume you are affiliating yourself with the Bloods because of the color. People use sports teams to affiliate themselves with one group or another. When they see someone wearing a rival shirt, they are "required"  to confront the offender.

It also starts fights with non-gang people. Occasionally, just being a fan of a different team is a reason to get the crap beat out of you. Imagine a guy wearing a Cub's hat and jersey walking into a bar filled with Card's fans. There might be problems.

They can take the 151 and cater to the younguns but us older fellas spend wayyyyy more.

I don't think this statement is true, collectively or individually.

For sure collectively it isn't true. There are a lot more young guys going to the club than old ones, and many of them are military guys with little or no bills to pay.

I don't think it is correct individually either. Sure, older people have more to spend, but generally they spend their money more wisely. They have bills to pay, and children to buy things. Most importantly, most are already in serious relationships. Thus there is no need to go to the club on a regular basis. Furthermore, when they do go to the club, there isn't anyone there that they feel the need to impress. Young single guys are competing at the club. There is a need to impress women. Coronas and shots of Patron get expensive.

I can see your points to some extent but over-all they just don't apply to a club like Area 151.

So far we're doing fine.  We're open Thursday through Saturday and business is booming on all three nights.

I see a nice lot of "older fellas" every night spending just as much as anyone else.  It really all boils down to the personality type and life-style of the individual.  If you like to drink and have money to burn your obviously more likely to spend more than someone who is just out to dance and have a good time being social.

You also have to remember that a lot of the time... its the "older fellas" who are trying to hot on all the "younguns."  LOL.

I guess the dress code wasn't as powerful as previously thought. I was sure the whole "no jerseys" thing would prevent gun violence.

Are you working for the competition? If that's a joke, it's not funny.. This is now the premier club in town, their employees have the best attitude out there, they took Twilight's business.. They turned away minors because they were tooooooo packed. The owner told me a couple times that he's got too many minors in there, maybe he stopped them. He told me his web site got 2000 plus hits from mine..

Haha..lol

Did anybody actually get shot? How bad? SRPD jurisdiction, so there won't be a news release.

Well I assume they have a limit as to how many people can be in the building, in order to make sure all adults can come in. I only assume they have a point where they stop all minors..

Got the scoop, sorta.. I was told that they had kicked this military guy out of the bar.. He left the property, then was driving and fired three shots from his pistol into the air. He was arrested by the Police and is now in the custody of the military police...

So, in fact, there wasn't a shooting at the Area 151 club..

The only connection here is that Area 151 was smart enough to know to to get rid of him before he caused trouble there.. Good work Area 151.. Good job protecting your customers from idiots..

On another note, I went there last night to check it out, no matter which way you turned you had security in sight.. I have never seen such a high level of security in any club in my life.. Very safe environment, and from conversations I had with the owner weeks ago it was his number one priority.

As the owner After Dark Gentlemen's Club I feel inclined to interject. Saturday night we were very busy and there were rumors buzzing, but after finding out the facts on monday thats all they were... rumors. I never made any calls to confirm what happened, because frankly I was to busy to.  I frequent Area 151 and will say that their security consists of some of the most stand up, friendly, and able men in the business. I have never felt unsafe there. Not only that but everytime I go to area 151 there are 3-5 squad cars observing the parking lot, you would have to either stupid or have a death wish to try anything there. Honestly the issue is a nonissue and should be dropped.

I might add that it loooks like Area 151 might be bringing DrZhivegas back to town, maybe in November.. www.drzhivegas.com  http://www.myspace.com/drzhivegas I had hired them for the county fair and they went over really well, everyone loved them, especially the local bands.. They play mostly older disco and are a high energy group.. Glad to see the new owners are progressive, and I was happy to connect them with DrZhivegas. They don't come cheap but they deliver the crowds and good times..

I called the St. Robert Police Department and made clear that I wasn't happy about not learning about a shooting until it showed up on the web and I started receiving phone inquiries (at least three of them so far). I have been given the details on this incident, including a lot of stuff that isn't yet public.

What's relevant to me is the following:

1. No charges have been filed.
2. Nobody was hurt.
3. The guy no longer has his gun.

With nobody hurt and no charges filed, I don't think there's a news story here, and based on stuff that is not public information, I concur with the police department's belief that there is not a public safety problem. If somebody has different information I'd like to hear it, but so far, it doesn't sound to me like there's any news here.

And there was no SHOOTING. Shooting makes it sound like he shot at someone, he didn't. He did a wild west driving away shot into the air. I don't call that a shooting, thats just hype his competitors want you to think. He was military also, so maybe people don't want that out..

Don't know why it seems everyone is acting like nothing happened!   A person who had been drinking fired a weapon in the city limits.    This could have been really ugly if someone got hurt.   Because nobody was hurt,  they ( police, club owners and web admin) want to act like nothing happened.   If  I were the club owner I would make sure something was done,  to show they would not talerate this from anyone.   Same when it comes to the police.    When it comes to web admin,  well it is there web site so they can do what they want.
