It happened off the clubs property, should the club owner set up his own police department to secure the city now? There's no story here except a soldier fired a gun while driving near the area 151 club.. Talk to the general if you wants some results.. He won't even talk to you about it..

Would you be happy if the local paper wrote an article called, "FORT SOLDIERS TERRORISING LOCAL CLUBS." The only reason you want it to be a big deal is because you have an interest in another club who has lost business to Area 151.

Don't know why it seems everyone is acting like nothing happened!   A person who had been drinking fired a weapon in the city limits.    This could have been really ugly if someone got hurt.   Because nobody was hurt,  they ( police, club owners and web admin) want to act like nothing happened.   If  I were the club owner I would make sure something was done,  to show they would not talerate this from anyone.   Same when it comes to the police.    When it comes to web admin,  well it is there web site so they can do what they want.

the beginning of the thread said it was in the parking lot of 151.

Should the General do something about one of his soldiers being dangerous to the public...... YES HE SHOULD

Should the paper write an article about it....... YES THE SHOULD...... Do they need to mention the Club ....... NOT IF IT DIDNT HAPPEN ON THE PROPERTY

Do I have anything to do any other clubs in the area..... NO,  Matter of fact,  I do not go to clubs as I don't drink.    But of course if anyone says anything about a club then they must work or support another club.

What you don't get is that none of these people have to do anything you would like them to do. If the newspaper doesn't think the story has much merit, then I think that's their call, not yours. I also think the general has done something about it, there again he doesn't have to tell you if he doesn't feel like it.

From our past expierience about half the complaints about businesses come from their competitor.. And in the case of this thread we know for a fact that many comments did..

It is amazing how times have changed. Now you can go to a bar t watch men fight each other. Years ago we had this too, where you could go to any bar and watch men beat each other to a pulp. but it was free. We called it "Saturday night"

Those freakin lights are driving me crazy. It took forever for Louis and Daddies to stop using them. Please, for the love of God, get rid of the lights. Everybody already knows where you guys are located. Everytime I go outside at night, I feel like scratching my eyes out. That is probably why that guy shot into the sky. He was trying to shoot at the lights. He was just a little inebriated so he shot at the sky, and not at the source. Please, for all that is holy, stop with the lights. They are driving me nuts.

P.S. Did I mention I don't like the lights?

How else are they supposed to signal Batman?

So what is going on with area 151?   Last night at 8 there was only 4 cars in the parking lot.   When I drove by tonite there was only 2.

Easy answer:

Area 151 doesn't open until 8 PM.  Employees don't park in the front of the club.  That area is for taxi's.  The club was packed Friday AND Saturday.  People just don't come out until between 9:30ish and 10:30ish.  It is that way at any nightclub.

When I lived in Pgh PA I was shocked to see that the neighborhood bars there are open at like 8:00 in the morning.  I think that bar over the bridge (steves place) is open in the am but not many are.
When I was young, I wanted to be older.  This is not what I expected!

outside ft. campbell the bars always had a handful of cars in the parking lot.  the general rule was this: if there were people inside spending money, they would stay open as long as you wanted.   i left the bar/club more then a few times and squinted into the sun thinking "wtf?"

it's hard to adjust getting kicked out around 2am....

We used to refer to those nights as sunrise services around here, back in the day when they let us get by with it.
