OK Preach, you are stepping on my toes now.  Those are my pastor's kids in the movie and they are anything BUT weird.  They are very normal kids who just happen to love Jesus and want to please him.  They have read Harry Potter.  They don't believe in abortion.  They cry for unborn babies.  They are very accepting of all people though and respect all people.  The movie was filmed over 3 years ago and they are still wonderful boys.  They act just like other teenage boys act except they choose on their own, to live a life pleasing to God.

The people who filmed the movie were a non Christian film crew.  We would all agree their editing was not as good as we would have liked it.  They chose to show shots that would make the Christian kids "look"  weird to the unChristian population.

For instance when the kids are holding out their hands toward the poster of Bush.  It looks in the movie like they are praying "to" George Bush, when what they are doing is praying "for" George Bush.

If you have any questions about the movie and would like to discuss it with Luke or Levi or their parents go to jesuscampers.com.

When I was young, I wanted to be older.  This is not what I expected!

My sincerest apologies. I had no intentions of stepping on your toes. I didn't know people at the Rock of Ages knew how to use computers. Burn. HaHa. OK sorry. That was low. Even for me. I was just kidding though. Please forgive me again.

I vaguely remember hearing something about this movie when it was being made.  Is it available at Blockbuster now?  I'd like to watch it.

I don't know if it is available at Blockbuster still but if you want to watch the movie we have a couple copies at the church you can borrow one.

Preach, it's OK.  On behalf of myself I forgive you  ;D

Can't speak for others  :-\

Just wanted you to know that even the mother of the girl Rachael in the movie was very disappointed in the way the children were portrayed in the movie. (she won't even watch it) It does look kinda like they are being brainwashed but believe me nothing could be farther from the truth.  ( it was all in the editing)

By the way, did you know the film crew was nominated for an Oscar.  Lost to Al Gore.

Check out the gas prices in the video above.   ^^^%%%

i saw it for free over you tube. just go there and do a search for jesus camp.

ing, if that is true, then i am truely relieved as it seems that in the movie those poor kids had no choice by the urgings of their parents and that crazy lady holding the camp. i stand by my earlier comment and also hope that they learn to understand, that pushing beliefs on someone won't get them very far in the real world.

The beginning of this video reminds me of my childhood.  This woman (the one leading this) is absolutely scary.  I think I am going to have nigthmares, I mean flashbacks.

That is Big Louie's parking lot at the start with the letter sign flashing "Your new Tattoo..."

LOL.

I worked there then.  Probably was the one who put the letters on that sign.  LOL.  How entertaining.  They filmed that shot right between the legs of his main sign.

NESTLE!  The water of God's word!  Wash your hands in it!  Come and get clean!

Oh... and also I just wanna say something about Harry Potter.  Warlocks are enemies of God!!!  If we had our way we'd KILL HARRY POTTER JUST LIKE THEY WOULD HAVE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.

Now... lets pray for the light switch so the devil doesn't turn off the lights on our building.  Lets also pray for the powerpoint presentations just in cause the devil uses the blue screen of doom to crash windows!

Some churches are opposed to their children reading Harry Potter, ours does not say you can't read it, it is up to the parents to decide.

We have never prayed for our light switches (we just pay our bill) or powerpoint (we have people who know to use the powerpoint program).

No wonder you are the way you are you have been ruined by some "religious group" who believed in religion and not Christ.  Believe me there are a lot of them out there.

"Warlock" huh,  So are you "Silvia's" boyfriend. I thought I struck a chord when I first mentioned this. Are you guys going to ball together? Will you be wearing tights and a short skirt, or a long gown?  Warlock; what a juvenile, infantesimal thing to call yourself. Grow up for crying out loud!

Sorry but I'm getting tired of this "witch" crap. It has nothing to do with religion. Go somewhere else on the board and play D&D or S&M, whatever you call it . It doesn't belong in the religion section.

'I agree Winter.....stop calling names, this is about the movie Jesus Camp, not who is and isn't somone's boyfriend or girlfriend.  You are proving the point to them that "Christians" are what they think they are unaccepting of others, brainwashed, mean spirited anything but the loving person you should be as a Christian.  Do you think Jesus would say, I'm sick of this witch crap.   I'm sure he would address it but not in that way.  And I don't remember anybody saying anything on this thread about D&D or S&M.

you are so backwards, mark. witchcraft and paganism is not about roleplaying and D&D. have you not been paying attention to the "what is Wicca" thread? we don't create personas to act out. we don't pretend to be something we are not. we are real, wicca is real, paganisim is real. it's just as real as christianity. i feel so sorry for you that you cannot understand that. i feel sorry for you that your mind is so closed to everything around you that you hear only what you want to hear and disregard the rest as bullshit.

who are you to draw that line, mark? really.. i want to know.. you aren't god. you have no say in judging others so i suggest you stop. what would your God say to you if he were here now? i am almost certian he would not be pleased with you.

Mark is not only backward, he is immaturity personified. So since other people's opinions and beliefs are not "real" to him, that makes them not real at all? How much more immature can a grown man be?
