I applaud the restraint JB showed. It can't have been easy to hold back from doing what a civilian wouldn't think twice about, but the idea that it was orchestrated to provoke a response by JB crossed my mind. It wouldn't surprise me if there was at least one person with a video camera rolling or ready to roll if JB responded like some think he should.
This whole thread reminds me of that Kenny Rogers song... What was it?? I can hear the words in my head (yes, the voices have erupted in song this morning) but can't remember the name of the song...
Coward of the County, I'd bet.
That's it!!! That's the one!!! (NO JB, I'm NOT calling you a coward!!! This thread just reminded me of the song...)
when it comes to fighting it is always wrong, the man i most admired in my life was my grandpa henry boren and his words to me was it takes a bigger and better man to walk away from a fight and he was right. so this just goes to show you that jb is the bigger and better man.
I agree that many situations don't require a fight, but fighting isn't always wrong. Some situations absolutely require it. The wife getting hit by a rock is debatable, but some situations are not. Imagine you are out camping with your family. You and your husband take a hike and leave your teenage children back at the site. If you return to a man beating your teenage daughter, what do you expect your husband to do? Would you still consider it wrong for him to fight? Does it still take a bigger man to walk away?
Some things are worth fighting for, and your lady is the number one thing.
Don't get nice on me - I might start liking you!
I have read a large number of allegations about Roberts i.e forced to resign, lieing about solving crime, etc. I know about the boat and I know about the law suit. I would like some FACTS about those two others. Can someone produce facts about the whole forced to resign thing. I even get the lieing about solving crime, based on Sheriff Kings letter I am guessing there are three murders that were not solved. A valid question I think though is "Why no (or very few) meth labs under Sheriff King?
