Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. Here is another for you.

On Oct 15th, Shell in Buckhorn was taken for $50. The same individual hit 3 places in Lebanon before coming here. 2 out of 3 of those places lost money. The vehicle is a dark maroon almost purple in color 1998 Chevy Malibu with a MO license 545 LXZ. The vehicle has a sun roof. The subject driving appeared to a white male. The passengers were a white female and a black male. If you spot this vehicle please make contact with the Sheriff's Department.

Thanks
Regina

uuuuhhhh.... ok, so what exactly are they doing?
The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance. Cicero - 55 BC, Rome

Yes, tell us how this scam is perpetrated so we know how to protect ourselves from it.

sounds like the people who stole the videos from BP.  Four people came in kept the cashier busy while the other stole the videos.  HMM

Usually a quick change artist will buy a small item (like a 20 cent pack of gum) and pay for it with lets say $100 bill.  When the cashier goes to get their change, they'll say something like Can I have 2 twenties 3 tens and I need some ones.  The cashier will go to get that change and as she's counting it out, they'll very quickly change it to can I have 5 tens 4 fives etc etc.  They'll keep changing how they want it till the cashier gets flustered and starts handing out a bunch of money cause they got confused.  At wal-mart, they usually hit the new cashiers whenever it's really busy.  They're so nervous from being new, and the line of customers, that they just take the persons word for how much money he gets back.  They hit wal-mart the other night btw.

I am glad to see Phoenix is making the public aware of who and what to be watching out for.

Happened to me a long time ago at KFC, got me for $50.00.

I knew as soon as they left what they had done but it was too late.

This is why it is so important to count back change.  If you always count back every thing to the penny it tends to help keep things straight.   Also if they want to change the change after you start giving them change... say no.  We are doing it this way first as that is what you asked for.  We only do one transaction at a time.  Then smile real big.

Exactly Mary, take the original amount back from them and start over.  If they then want to change something, then bill by bill.

I guess I'm a B***h, cause I listen to the way you want your money, then when I start to get it from my till I totally shut out anything they're saying to me.  When I get it out of the drawer, I shut the drawer immediately and *then* count the money back and pay attention again.  It pays to be hateful.  :th_thmuwahaha-1:  If they want it differently than what I give them, I just say, "Oops sorry, I can't open my drawer, but feel free to go to customer service."

Sorry at the poor protocol by bumping an old thread*, but this is an all too common 'Interstate Gas Money scam/Free Meal Confusion-Con'. As seen from years as a Pizza Hut 'journeyman'...a 'classic'. During those years many attempts were thwarted by the old 'here's the change...we will go from here" rule. And ALL change should be counted back.

Hi #1763

Living along a major Interstate carries it's unique challenges.
