Yes. He will be the demise of our country.  He's a control freak and hopefully he will never make it to the presidency once all the dirt comes out with his ties to the Illinois Gov. and Mafia are exposed.    Obama is for Obama and only Obama.  I turn off the tv when he is on, his voice sickens me.  And his wife, what a joke that women is.

Why exactly is his wife a joke? She is a very accomplished woman. He is a very accomplished man. How will he be the demise of our country? And what makes you think he is only for himself?

Sounds a little anti American if you ask me. You should support your new president. Your guy lost, now you need to back the one you are going to have. Quit hoping the country is going to fail. If we survived eight years of G. W. Bush, we can survive another eight years of Obama.

Bush/Cheney raped this country, and now they are punching her in the face. Thank Jeebus Obama will have the reigns soon. The time of healing is nigh.

he wants to spend 845 Billoin of our money to stop world poverty.

why does he want to make a majo foreign policy speech in his 1st 100 days in an islamic capital?

nuclear power is not on his list of power sources, just inefficient ones.

there are more, but he has cut back on raising taxes on the rich(?) for now.

Illegal warrantless wiretaps, no bid contracts for Cheney's Haliburton, letting all the bin Ladens fly out of the country while Americans couldn't, taking us into a war regardless of the intelligence, being the only leaders ever to lower taxes on the rich during a time of war and excessive spending, getting rid of Habeus Corpus, torture, and many many more I can't think of off the top of my head.

Preacher has a point -- Obama will soon be the President and we need to treat him with the respect due to his office. The comment about Mrs. Obama being a "joke" is an insult that isn't helpful. Attacking someone for specific statements or actions is fair game. Insults without content aren't.

Even if we have another Hillary-style first lady on our hands -- and I'm inclined to think that we do -- we need to exercise caution as conservatives that we don't end up with egg all over our faces by pulling "sucker punches" against Barack Obama's wife that will only gain sympathy for him in the minds of most Americans. It was entirely appropriate to call her to account due to her comments about not being proud of her country until a person of color made it to the later stages of the presidential races. But she seems to have learned a PR lesson since then about being more careful when the microphones are on.

Conservatives have milked that comment for more than it is worth, and we need to move on and wait to see if that comment was an isolated act of stupidity or an early warning sign of a dangerous mindset that will show up in many more ways.

Give it time. We've got four years to find out what Mrs. Obama's core views are and how much they influence her husband's thinking. And we'll find out pretty quickly whether the comments made in the campaign against her were right or wrong.

Why exactly is his wife a joke? She is a very accomplished woman. He is a very accomplished man. How will he be the demise of our country? And what makes you think he is only for himself?

I have always supported my country no matter who it was, Clintom or Bush.  Not now.  The Obama's are Elitist who with the help of people like Oprah Winfrey's Wallet will cause us to loose our freedom of speech and right to bear arms.  Why will he be the only predident to have his own malicia? Wuz up with that!  Seriously, billions of people worship God Obama. Good for you.  Keep supporting him.  I don't care why you love him and hate Bush.  This is a gut feeling and I feel a very real and
terrified fear of this man.

I thought I might join his militia.  sounds like fun.  When something happens, I could go to their house and ask if they had guns.  Then make sure they had those guns cleaned and they knew how to use them properly too.  Advise them on maintaining a proper amount of ammo on hand too.

Casisback: I agree with your assessment.  I am sitting back and waiting to see how things happen and if they happen.  My gut says the same thing yours does.

To continue this list of ways Bush has failed his nation and its citizens: How about failure to regulate the banking and investment industries, stripping environmental regulations of enforcement powers, and stripping safeguards for endangered species, not to mention hundreds of "signing statements" putting himself above the law of the land. Bush is a living example of the adage that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. He has governed solely to benefit his rich business buddies and himself. He continues to wreak havoc with the environment and endangered species by signing hundreds of "midnight regulations" into law, regulations favoring big oil, big business and his other cronies. Despite the "born-again Christian" facade he has tried to wear, he is no friend of God nor man; his actions have always belied his greed and thirst for power.

I am taking a "wait and see" attitude with Obama, but I am already very suspicious of his apparent enmity with Israel and corresponding warmth toward the Islamic world.

So, let me get this straight.  You all don't mind a bit if our electric rates sky rocket if the pwer companies can't purchase energy from coal plants as a back up source?
Rates are going up again in April 09, for system improvements, maintenance and right ofway maintenance.
I would think  more POSITIVE incentive programs for developing technology to meet
environmental needs would be more acceptable than threats.
As a member of Intercounty Electric coop we have on a consumer level, an incentive program to
cut energy use in our homes in the form of capital credit refund checks.
Hey, it's just me, Suzi

Yes, Bush is guilty of those things and probably more.  So do we want Obama not only to continue with these same things and then extend them even further?  His apparant friendliness with the Muslims and detrimental attitude toward Israel have my attention.  I believe when he finally gets a full briefing, things in his attitude will change, at least I hope so.  His civilian brown shirts will not work in this country.  Too many still remember history from the 1930's.

Wow. I can't believe you actually admit to being anti-American. That is crazy. This is America love it or leave it.

You are right. Obama is an elitist now. You can't get any more elite than President of the United States of America. However, he wasn't an elitist growing up. It is funny how you people get on here criticizing Obama for being an elitist, yet you are Reagan and Bush supporters. There hasn't been a single president more silver spoon than G. W. Bush. He is further from a cowboy than Ronald Reagan, and that's pretty freakin far from. You can't just buy a starter farm because you are rich and consider yourself an average American. A silver spoon kid with a farm is still a silver spoon kid.

He lowered taxes on all who pay taxes

he kept us safe since 9/11

didn't the appropriations committee approve those contracts?

suspended habeas corpus? It was approved by congress through the military commissions act. It only applied to those held in military prisons. civil rights of persons in civilian courts were not affected.

warrantless wiretaps were authorized to the nsa

what torture?

the un resolutions supported the military response as did the iraq liberation act of 1998. what about the 550 tons of yellow cake uranium that was tranfered to canada? the shipment ended in july of this year.

isn't nobama talking about a tax cut? aren't we still at war?

keep em coming cowpoke. W isn't perfect. he spent too much of our money. but , we are safer now than before W.

So 2 years in and not one of the crybaby sky is falling chicken little crap came true.  Apologies can be listed below.
"There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God almighty Himself hates with you, too. Where's evil? It's that large part of every man that wants to hate without limit, that wants to hate with God on its side." - Kurt Vonnegut

Not near as much as it did when Bush was pres.   Remember 4.00 a gallon.  Just admit it to yourself already..you were brainwashed by republican propaganda directed at Obama and you took the bait hook line and sinker.

While I dont care one way or the other regarding political affiliation (i.e. party) using fox news to back up your opinion regarding demos is like anti semetics using hitlers philosophy toback up their stance.  Its biased, silly, and someones agenda.  Fox news is not news.  And for the record with my views I lean more repub.

Can't tell that by some of your comments.  Blindly supporting HRH is insanity.  He is working to destroy this country, not preserve it.  Don't believe that?  Better look at the willful destruction of our economy within the first three months of his gaining office.  Trebeled the debt with a stroke of the pen.
