There was a woman killed in Crocker Cave after the bar was shut down. I need to do some more research on it to find the exact dates. I know some one that used to bartend at the Queen of Hearts and I think I might be related(step family) to one of the owners of it. Godfreys Hide-a-way was bought by Judy Dye and is now called Judy's Place. This is a great beer bar espically on Sunday afternoons. I beleive that is all correct but maybe Rick ought to check me out on this since he is twenty years older than me
Judy’s place use to be called the Falcon club. There was a murder in there in the early eighties. I think Godfreys Hide-a way is the bar that is next to the post office. I know that was called the hide-a-way. I would have to ask my dad if she ever owned it. I know she owned the Country Club. The Hide away has had several owners in the past. It hasn’t been open years.
There was a tavern in the cave when I was a boy. Years later a murder did occur there. A local boy name of Higgins shot a girl in the head. I believe in the 70s, I'll check.
