  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

there are enough people on here that are far more knowledgable than me too explain this product. It is supposed to take the place of your phone service. I read the website(majicjack.com) and reviews from other sites. the reviews were mixed, but mostly good. It seems to have the potential to be a big savings on phone service. whatta ya think?

I was going to make this same post. I've seen the commercial several times, and have been thinking about ordering.
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right, Forget the ones who don't, and believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I have both Magicjack and Vonage.  Magicjack is plugged into your computer via USB.  You need high speed internet.  Your computer must be kept on, and connected to the internet for it to work.  I've used it with a phone connected, via a headset, and just with the mic and speakers in my laptop.  I have one here and I bought one for my daughter.

One thing you have to remember is bandwidth.  I have DSL, which I run off of via a wireless router.  The sound quality is good, unless you are running internet games, etc.  One of the nice things is when you put someone on "hold" they hear music!

If you'd like, I can bring it with me on Tuesday for the "meet and greet" over at Chopstix.

yeah I knew most of that. but, do you have to leave the computer and the internet on 24/7 for incoming calls, or for that matter all calls?

It has a voice mailbox.  If your computer is not online, incoming calls will be sent to voice mail.

it would be an adjustment to remember to leave the computer and internet on while at home. I would hate to miss a call if I am home.

I can't make the meet & greet. gotta work.

I have Vonage and a MagicJack and the quality is not as good as regular service but after filtering in the costs Im keeping my MagicJack and dropping Vonage.
Ive used this for like a year now. They run specials also for service for 5 years for $59.95. In todays economy one has to trim fat where one can.

For people that shut down their computer, it is a pain in the butt.

Sorry you can't make it.  Hopefully next one you'll be able to!
