  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action

  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

i'm new to the boards but i wanted to start by saying hello to everyone!! well here is my problem... 2 weeks ago my fiance went to Paum's Bridal and got measured and fitted for his tuxedo ordered along with 3 other tuxes for the best man and groomsmen who also got measured. well she called yesterday and said the tuxes we in so we went and got them, my fiance's fit and two others fit the groomsmen but the best man's coat was at least 4 inches too short on the arms so i automatically went into panic mode because my wedding is TOMORROW %%$%$$# ! she ordered another tux and i was supposed to come and pick it up today, well at 2 it came in and i went and picked it up, it was shorter than the last one!!! i'm 5'3 and i tried the coat on and it was up to the middle of my forearm- he is 6'3. so i really started to panic, i told her i wanted a discount on the tux and that she needed to fix it.. well she "fixed it" and gave me $20 back (the tux was $130). i took it to my fiance's best man at work for him to try on to make sure it was right and of course, it was just as short as the last 2! i was honestly so upset that i was crying. i went back and told her i wanted all of my money back and the tux fixed, she said she will NOT give me my money back because that is her policy she said that if she gave me my money back then i would not have a tux for the wedding tomorrow. she "fixed" the tux which is still at least 1 1/2 inches too short so we have to just make do :surrender: . on top of the fact that i was supposed to be at work by 3pm but couldn't make it on time and had to have someone cover my shift for a few minutes until i got this whole problem situated. the $20 that she gave me ended up covering the gas money that it took to drive back and fowarth from her shop 4 times so that didn't help me at all either.

i called her after i left hystarically crying and told her that i would be telling everyone about the way she treated me and that i would be letting everyone i knew not to come to her. this has been a disaster, i am so stressed out and burnt out and i feel like today should have been a day for me to relax and get ready for my big day tomorrow and instead it has been a complete nightmare. i just wanted to inform EVERYONE of the kind of service you will get if you decide to bring your business to Paum's Bridal in St. Robert.

I like a good story as much as the next guy, but there is something is fishy about this one.

It just doesn't add up.

Hope it all worked out at the wedding.

I have known her since the 60's when her husband and mine were in the same unit on post. She has always been a pretty up front type of person.  Sorry about your problem but she has been in business for a long time for some reason.  If she had a habit of giving the type of service you say you had she would not have lasted that long.

Good luck with your wedding and a successful marriage.

I smell a rat here as well.  We have used Ms Paum since we have been here.  We bought all of my daughters pageant gowns there,,,and always got wonderful service.  Ms Paum even has done some last minute emergency work for us.  The lady does a lot of buisness and has been there a while.  Sorry I dont buy your story.

Ms Paum is a great seamstress and friend

First off, you should have sent the guy to pick up the tux...that way he could try it on.  Second, you shouldn't have worked the day prior to your wedding.  But I really hope it all works out.  It usually does in the long run.  After a certain point, a wedding drives itself...don't worry.
....and that night as the moon crossed the mountain, one more Coyote was heard...

My daughter wanted light pink roses on her wedding cake and got bright neon pink.  We have a funny memory now.  You'll have one too............in 10 or 20 years........Don't sweat the small stuff...........
