  • Valor7: Actually no it is not, a dependable Revenue stream will not come on line until the 4th quarter of 2017 so 2018 budget will be up in the air, not quite sure what they will have. By 2019 budget all will be well.

  • Valor7: I could have worded that better, we talked details, options, the pros and cons of each, in  order to arrive at the best ballot language to present to the voters. Hope that makes this clearer.

  • Valor7: sorry about the typos still working with just one arm in action
    April 13, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
  • Valor7: Yes and no. We talked details and options until we were blue in the face but I never heardbring it over, it was always the time was not right for the issue to pass. Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

In 1974, a total of 330 people died and another 5,484 people were injured during what would later be called the deadliest tornado outbreak in America’s history. On April 3 and 4, 148 tornadoes went through 13 states. More recently, 16 Missourians died in 2008 from tornadoes on May 10 and 11. Why do these deaths and injuries from tornadoes happen? To answer these questions requires a discussion about warnings and seeking shelter. These are the two important issues of this article. Read More on Pulaski County Daily ...

:th_181p: I kinda think CH is too.
I have it on good authority that the Hokey-Pokey really IS what it's all about.

I know when they say we have one in the area I know I am outside looking for it. I live in a mobile home but we have a cellar behind us, So when they say one is around I am standing in my backyard close to the cellar. I wish we could hear the sirens from my home but we can't so I take my phone with me and let Kristi call me lol.
Go ahead and blame me....Everyone else does

I am not a great advocate of sirens, although, yes, they are one part of a systems approach that I like and so important; but as anyone knows me I believe NOAA Radio is by far the greater part of the system.

Heck yeah OKIE, I remember when I was a boy sitting on porch with my grandfather watching and listening when the one came over that hit Bobby's out in St. Robert; you remember that?  The sky was kinda green and the noise was like a big jet, or train....

Yeah, I remember that storm, but was living in Dixon, and was actually in Rolla that evening. Came into St. Robert after the fact and saw the damage, but not the storm itself.

I think with all the shows about storm chasers and people wanting to take pictures, they actually forget how dangerous they really are!
....and that night as the moon crossed the mountain, one more Coyote was heard...
