Glad to see the time in now right and I for one shall vote yes on the ballot. I would urge all others to do the sameour county is busting at the seams crimewise and no matter how many bad guys we send off there always seems to someone to replace them. The Sheriff's Office needs the help.

Had an old timer that grew up in the midwest tell me that the safe date is Easter.  I always use the 15th lol.

I got out in the yard finally yesterday.  Got the lawn scalped, another bed covered and herbs taken care of.  Hopefully I can repeat it Friday too.

I usually wait until May also  accept for peas , I get them in as soon as I can.  One year I put all my tomatoes and peppers in at the end of April and we had a bad hail storm that just chopped them  off . The next we had a hard frost, so I try to be patient and wait. The almanac says that the moon is favorable 4/24 - 4/30 so maybe I'll try to push my luck?

Freeze warning tonight - 31
Also Sunday - 26 and Monday - 25

Nobody get too carried away yet!  Don't forget to protect your fruit trees if they are in blossom or past.

I never put my plants out until sometime in May. I keep them in the house until the night temp gets close to 50 on a regular basis. I do set them outside on warm days to toughen up. I have tried to set out earlier and never have liked the result. If you cover them up and then forget to uncover them in time that will damage them.

They modified the forecast up today. The only thing that should get nipped would be the taters but mine have always recovered in the past.

I am going to put some marigolds in the garden this year and perhaps they will keep the bugs away. Hated those squash bugs last year that wiped out all my zucchini.

That should help Susan.  Got any kids you can pay to hand pick them? Bad thing is that I saw some squash bugs 2 weeks ago on the warm days. Hope that's not an indicator.
