Saint Robert Blvd west of everything that is there now.  By the water tank. Just look for the dirt moving spread. Excavation is well under way.

When I drove by last week, it looked like they were still moving dirt.  I don't think they are anywhere near finished.  I have not heard an estimated date yet though either.  It will be nice to spend our Lowe's dollars locally instead of out of town!  We make our list and stop first at the hardware and related stores here in town and buy what we can -- but now we'll be able to finsish the list as well!!

Anybody know what they are doing directly in front of Main Stay Suites, next to Ryans before you get to the Security Bank site.

I too, will be happy to have a Lowe's here. However I'm replacing some interior doors and Meeks in St Robert was 47 cents cheaper & I didn't have to drive and burn up this high dollar gasoline.
And I kept the money here in Pulaski county. I have to save quite a bit for it to be worth my while to drive just to shop.

Same here Ed, we usually keep the list of things and do not go until we have a considerable amount of things to get - or my husband is going TDY and drives by anyway.  We try hard to search around her first.

I think that is the Applebee's Site if they are still going where originally planned.

Sounds like some competition starting up.   That should be a good thing.

I love Lowe's! I'm glad we are getting one. I can't believe you all are finding cheaper materials at Meek's. I have never found anything cheaper there than at Lowe's.

This is one I found where Meeks was less expensive.....prehung interior six panel doors. 47 cents cheaper! plus the gas money I saved not driving out of town!

The competition between Meeks and Lowe's should prove to be very interesting in the near future I think...which is a good thing for us....the poor buyer.....

Biggest difference is that Lowes has more selection, if you are worried about Meeks, think what it will do to Fields. I went to Meeks this week and had to buy 16 foot baords instead of 8 foor boards, because they were out, that is automatically more expensive. I buy odds and ends stuff at Meeks for that very reason, Lowes gets my bulk buy.

When you are buying lumber, I like to look at the price before I buy it, at Meeks it's outside. When I built my back deck I saw where the 16 foot 2 by 10 treated was 8 dollars lower than the 14 footers. Never would have known that at Meeks.

This is one I found where Meeks was less expensive.....prehung interior six panel doors. 47 cents cheaper! plus the gas money I saved not driving out of town!

Lowes and Walmart are not related. They are two different companies with two seperate corporations. Common mistake.

I thought the same thing for a long time and did a little research - the founding father of Lowes spent a lot of time studying Mr. Walton.  And then took it all a step further - The logo, color theme and proximity to Wal-Mart stores are the obvious.

This you are correct on.   Although,  about 7 years ago there was a marriage that connected the two,  it was a marriage of two young adults family members only and has nothing to do with the way the companies are ran.    Both of these do work for the Companies but are not in a controlling positions,  and doesn't combined the companies in anyway.
