The exact location is behind the old middle school (behind the fence line) just along Pine Street.  There is a market manager so those interested in selling need to contact the extention office for more details.  In the furture there may even be a mid-week market, in the evenings.

Lucille, who was doing the baking for the few years got married last week and moved to Wisconsin, as of right now there has not been anyone who has committed to baking this year for the market.  The market is looking for vendors and this is something anyone who loves to bake can do.  There are a few simple requirements that would need to be met and if you are interested in knowing what those are contact me and I will let you know what they are.

I stopped by the new Farmer's Market this morning after getting off work. As mentioned it is now at the Wayneville City Park located on the north end of the soccer fields under the trees.  Excellent spot. Parking across the drive from the booths.  Only vendors there today but the 15 min or so I was there it was a constant crowd of people.  I think they will have a success here so come support a great addition to our Community.  JuneBug great meeting you today!

Also I will mention here that we will be selling our handcrafted bath and body products and dried herbs at the market starting on June 6 and adding in fresh herbs and naturally grown (we are not organically certified) veggies as they come in.

It was nice meeting you too Yankee.  I actually had the chance to meet several people from PCW and it was really nice.  I was very pleased with the turn out at the market.  I sold out within an hour and the other vendor pretty near sold out by the end of the day.  We were very pleased with this being the first day of this season AND a new location. Had a few people that were disappointed we couldn't compete with the HUGE markets they were accustom too in other parts of the states, but over all people really seemed to like the location and what was available today.  Next week will be the same vendors as today with 2 new vendors starting with us in June. I am the market manager and there are rules and a small fee to cover the cost of insurance and related market expenses.  We are still in need of vendors.  If you only want to come and sell for one day as you get over loaded with all the veggies this summer, or if you have fruit trees, PLEASE contact me or the Extension office and come sell.  Since I don't have cows or sell  milk, I think it okay to tell you that if you would like raw milk you can order it the week prior and it would be available for pick up the following week just ask to see who may have it available.

Thank Everyone for a GREAT first day!!!!

Greenhouse maters! (I am assuming here) It is still a little early for hoop house maters but they should be along soon.

The tomatoes came from the Menonites in the Versailes area.  There are some hoophouse tomatoes and you are right greenhouses help.  The amish tomatoes should be ready in the next few weeks.
